Never realized that Bolt was so humble, he is the greatest sprinter ever in the history of track and field yet he is saying that he trusts everything that his coach tells him to do.

He is clearly smart too.. Most people rather learn from their own experience smart ones learn from others as well as their own experience.
Usually the biggest difference between good and great is humility.

Well that's how he became the fastest ever, he listened & trusted his coaches guidance. There's no way he could have made it without the close eye of his coach. Mike Tyson Floyd Mayweather Jr.& many other great all had great coaches. It's damn near impossible for anyone to make it without the proper guidance.

@@harmonsalmon3313lfj yes the females have been putting work. Remember this is not the first the time they did a 3 on the medal stand remember when we got gold and 2 silver. They are no stranger to hard work. I’m happy they holding the flag up. But the men have become delusional. Personally being a for HS athlete tracks is not for the jellyfish back men who just want the hype and seasonal flings. It’s hard work. Sometimes, the pain was so intense my whole body was on fire. But after getting injured. That same work ethic carried me to upper management in a big company. Point is, these male athletes aren’t focused on the process anymore it’s, as Michael O’Hara said “mi rich” after getting sponsored and winning a few races at beginning of his career, not single him out but to use him as proxy to the many others who are very very very talented but failed to mature. Maybe another 4 years before we see the men coming forth. Without Bolt they have no one to aim at. But it begs the question why doesn’t anyone want to step up to that level?

When you have humility and wisdom you will listen to those who went before you and have gain great success. Once more, they should not be disrespecting the coach and now they have been truthfully exposed. I hope that they change for real and take a turn.

I rate this 100%. I am Barbadian and at my secondary school we had a deputy Principal who would walk around the school trying to encourage the "bad boys" to attend classes and get serious about work. so many times he would go and look for them where ever they were hiding round the school to chat with them ; not just give detention. But you see when the Principal stop chasing after students that was when u know the Principal has said and done all he could do for those wayward young boys. On the day the dep Principal left our school a former student sent a letter to be read out in front the whole school hall thanking the Principal for showing care and LOVE. The young man apologised for not listening but thanked him for the lessons because he finally understood what the Principal was trying to teach him.
"So many of our young people want help but they do no know what help looks like"

August 27, 2021 and Mr Usain Bolt's words are so appropriate in light of the dismal performance of the JA MEN in Tokyo Olympics. I hope the men can take their "craft of track and field" seriously and get back to the road of success. I had so much hope for Blake and Weir! Hard work and desire to be great are key ingredients to athletic success. Let's pray that they are embarrassed enough to get serious about their talents! Mr Bolt is in commercials here in the USA because of his achievements and the dignified way in which he presents himself.

Usan I remember as a youngster standing in the stadium watching you leaving Jermaine Gonzales in the dust, you actually broke the 200m record at champs that year. What amazes me about you is that you’re the Same ever since, hate loosing and you learn from your mistakes. What’s funny too is most of those names that you called are people from my age group, I no them, I use to rub shoulders with them, won’t call their names because I am not here for hype, but they no I no them. The part that is funny is I thought with exposure an traveling those mentality got flung out the door. But again Bolt you’re different you’re always trying to better yourself at whatever cost, you’re no longer in track an field but you’re a business mogul, the epitome of bettering your self over a period of time. You see this is not a warren or a O’Hara or a Blake Issue this is our issue. We all act like we’re grown fail to take advice even though we don’t have a clue of what we are doing. We want to be the coach, the player and the accountant an that cannot work, and when it don’t work we go around blaming everyone but ourselves for our ills. You’re so right Bolt and I respect you for speaking up because that man like every other man is human and has faults but he’s a great man hands down; soulm optima petenda sunt, only them that bear the sour a dem ago bear the sweet. We don’t do it for the love we do it for the likes and when the likes run out we run around mad blaming the world while looking for the next thing that will bring likes.

Thank you so much for speaking out Usain. You're definitely unique with a lot of determination and will power and you're very patriotic. I am also a very patriotic Jamaican and this is part of what Is lacking in others such as Blake, Weir, Bailey-Cole to name a few.
For them the mind-set is so poor it's all about money, which is a great shame.
Right now Blake should take up from where you left off and would definitely be the second best in the world. We are as Jamaicans (spoken to many others) very disappointed in those athletes who feel so comfortable in disrespecting coach Mills or any others just because they have made a few dollars. What about the future? What about when they're 60?? - Do they really think this little money will last forever??
They all need to think about tomorrow as well and you're quite right it's very embarrassing. What will happen in 20/20?? when we have so much talent in the Island.
The mentality that we' re rich is not very intelligent, Infact it's very ignorant.
You know last year I saw a video where Warren Weir was stopped by a police officer and I could not believe the utter disrespect he showed this officer. He is supposed to be an ambassador for JA and is aware of the crime situation & yet he behaved so badly when an officer was only doing his job. He tried very hard to entice Bailey- Cole who was with him to join in, but thank God he didn't.
The officer didn't know who he was and was just stopping people at random. He was trying to say to Bailey-Cole "Oh this is how they like to people with pretty fancy cars". Then he was doing these videos on a plane trying to boast to the poor people about where he was going etc;etc; My daughter and I were so upset. We saw a very ignorant, cocky and disgusting side to Warren and went off him straight away. I am therefore not surprised that he took time off in the middle of training with girlfriend to go to the US. I have probably been on 200 Aeroplanes but never feel it necessary to boast. Some of our people seem to be only interested in material possessions & brand labels & feel that what makes them important. What about self-respect, respect for others, respect for your country, respect to give back to our poor JA communities, respect for your coach. Which determined, hardworking, ambitious athlete disrespect their coach and go off to the US in the middle of it all. Who does that? I am so upset I could go on and on. If they have any courage and self worth they would go to coach Mills and beg forgiveness. I live in the UK and I can tell you that if any of the British athletes behave in that manner they would be dismissed.
I am disappointed in all of these males , but particularly with Blake who could now be the ' WORLD NO ONE'. Is he not intelligent enough to see this or is he just a follower?? COME ON GUYS Coach Mills we think you're fantastic, please keep up the good work.
USAIN WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH, YOU'RE THE FINEST IN MORE WAYS THAN YOU'LL EVER KNOW. Thank you for sharing you' ve done the right thing. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND YOUR GOOD SENSE.😘😘😘❤❤

The problem spoken about is one rooted in the culture and one that needs to be rid of completely. Hearing the comments made are so familiar in other areas of life that our people need to a self examination of themselves before go running their mouth disrespecting those who assist them in their career irrespective of the circumstance in their life. Simply being grateful to those who helped to uplift their status in life rather than throwing stones behind them when life realities come to full bump.
