I think you guys should have a road trip challenge where you set a low purchase price for a vehicle, each get one and head out. If that car breaks down the other person has to buy your replacement car which makes things interesting because if they go too cheap then they may just have to buy you another one and another one ect which could get expensive. Winner is the one that spends the least at the end
They did something kind of similar to this with a budget of 5k. I don't think they'd do the type of road trip you're describing as it would make things a little too complicated. Best way to put it would be "if someone's car breaks, then the other person wins" or like that
Ben's impersonation of the the japanese female timing belt indicator is the best content youtube has at the moment. I need a full length episode of that.
i found a slammed beat with a body kit and work wheels with bride seats and all the jdm goodies on marketplace for $13,000. If I had the money I would've totally bought it
@pirotehs yeah nothing on Bens replacing multiple cars and the drama with it. I can't see a person realising that the j16x box was behind the beams and not the t50 from the 4a engine hardly comedy gold the Japanese text a bit funnier but again not hilarious
@@Dolby109 Might’ve helped them to properly go through their cars first and sort them out beforehand. Should’ve bought the cars a month or so in advance so they could sort out any mechanical issues they would’ve had with their cars.
imho, these roadtrip videos are by far the best content from G&G! it's how I found this channel and I'm glad that these roadtrips are still being driven.
WOW! What an ending. Almost $40,000 in cars and months of delays. I wouldn't have guessed that this. I am glad you all were able to finish this trip. Excited for the next adventure you all take on the roads of America.
Honestly I'd definitely think someone driving a Smart has a lot of self-esteem, in a similar way to how I'd think someone driving a lifted truck has none.
Shortly after the Mini Cooper came back in the early 2000s (before they got so massive), a guy I knew had one and a shirt that read "I drive a Mini. What are YOU compensating for?"
Oh, man. I'm exhausted from laughter especially at that last bit. I didn't even notice the differences between the takes until seeing the behind-the-scenes. Love how my favorite bit was initially just a joke and then they couldn't get, "I don't know what that is but this has gotta be a Subaru Vivio Bistro Sport" out. 😂
Ah... Thanks Guys! This was such a hoot to watch! 😃 I thoroughly enjoyed it as much as a Top Gear Road Trip special, but perhaps a tad more cos they're actual cars that one would be able to afford to buy. There's something so special about driving older cars and watching them in videos is just as fun!
This series truly makes me love my '03 Corolla hatch - small and light enough to be fun on spirited drives yet not too small that it can't do a road trip xD hahaha Driven it 8 hours straight interstate multiple times without issue
Man I’m glad y’all showcased Louisiana! We have a pretty cool tuner car culture down here. Especially in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. Hopefully y’all come back again!
I drove my Acty van 360 miles a week between Knoxville and the Dragon for a year. Gave it hell all of those miles. Never had to do anything but change the oil. It sucked to drive when it was windy on the interstate but that was the worst part of it. My Cappuccino on the other hand has had multiple issues over the last few years and has only made that trip a handful of times. It was for sure a race car in Japan so it was thrashed.
After the ANC road trip I had no idea how you guys could top the entertainment value, but then you got K cars and made me laugh harder than when Ben blew up his reliable daily STI. Well done, I can’t wait to see what you guys do next.
Absolutely always love watching these. It's extremely enjoyable and the production is always spot on. Can't believe how many issues they had with this trips though!
That notice voice is mean: please insert your ETC card. In Asia, many countries' high way is tolled, And in Japan, The ETC is an automatic payment device. BTW I like the beats.
I usually don't enjoy someone else's misery this much but this series is some of the best stuff I've seen in a long time. I think I'll learn from your experiences, make a hard pass on the Kei car and get 1/2 ton pickup truck instead... less expensive in the long run😆
Drove a Figaro from Duncan's to San Antonio, TX in 4 days, zero issues. Highway RPMs were pretty high though. We just didn't Dyno or track it on the way 😂😂😂.
Did anyone else go back to "after calmly discussing our options" to check for ben's feedback in between them in the original video even though you knew it was a joke?
Those lifted trucks on street tires gave me an idea... for your next trip you should do DONKS hahahaha!!! Maybe an Atlanta to Houston route or Chicago to Cleveland??
You guys over exaggerate the City aspect. Both the Beat and Cappuccino are fine on the highway doing 65-75. The Beat is a little strung out (5500rpm at 65) but it won't hurt it unless it's got a worn out timing belt or bad rings already. The Cappuccino feels just fine at 75-80, so much that I've accidentally hit the 83 speed limiter GOING UP HILL on accident (no cruise control). Remove the factory speed limiter and the Cappo will do well over 100. At any rate I've done multiple 5 hour trips in both, AND had them out on track at the far end of that. Neither had an issue.
"AFTER CALMLY DISCUSING OUR OPTIONS..." leaning into the memes
"Subaru Bistro Vivio Sevitz" makes me laugh every single time I hear it.
"Calmly discuss"
Coin toss
So glad they calmly discussed their options and got past being pissed
@@GearsandGasolineshirts plz? Very niche joke
Do it with dickhead babyy!! Was fantastic seeing you roll up
'After calmly discussing our options...' repeat was amazing 😂😂😂

@@igor.vysoky the civic and miata road trip
That’s if they ever financially recovered from this one!
Or set a budget for a road trip with one car. Buy the car and use the rest of the budget for the trip. Go as far as they can with what's left
Absolutely died when he said "as they should be" in response to Japanese people being on the smaller side. 😂😂😂😂
I'm 5ft2 and these cars make me feel big 😂
Ben's impersonation of the the japanese female timing belt indicator is the best content youtube has at the moment. I need a full length episode of that.
Seems you like it a little too much there bud
“Didnt account for 3 cars breaking down…” is probably the best/worse reason to miss Mardi Gras.
They nearly made Mardi Gras '24 🤷♂️
"Didnt account for 30yr old cars we did no maintenance to breaking down" is more accurate
That last bit in the bloopers is even funnier after watching episode 2
Is anyone else thinking how awesome a modified Honda Beat would be?
i found a slammed beat with a body kit and work wheels with bride seats and all the jdm goodies on marketplace for $13,000. If I had the money I would've totally bought it
Saw some guy on yt hayabusa swapping it
K swap!!!!
B18C swaps have been done to them
No
The best RUclips roadtrip to date easily
@harvirlakhan5141 nah lacked the comedic effect comparatively
@@cheeseontoastbrah nope, six gear and japanese text on door was way funnier anything here

With all due respect, and I mean all due respect, stance road trip was better
Always wanted a beat or cappucino. Fun watching you guys put them through the paces in the USA
They are both great cars, and despite what these guys say just fine on the highway, esp the Cappuccino which cruises like a champ at 75.
@@Dolby109 Might’ve helped them to properly go through their cars first and sort them out beforehand. Should’ve bought the cars a month or so in advance so they could sort out any mechanical issues they would’ve had with their cars.
Right. They definitely needed some maintenance & mechanical work done on them before going on a road trip.
This is giving me old Top Gear Vibes. And I'm loving it!
imho, these roadtrip videos are by far the best content from G&G!
it's how I found this channel and I'm glad that these roadtrips are still being driven.
FIX THE CAPUCINO BEN
He will, but he’s gotta month-long-ship parts from Japan.
why its a shitbox
Gotta' put a motorcycle engine in it :P
Funniest road trip series 🤣 Love it
The SubUwU VIVO Bistrow Sports will forever be a meme😂😂😂
Hayabusa swap the beat
Nah, CBR 600 swap is goated for these little cars, busa and a CBR1000 are too powerful
Either option will destroy that rusted shell
No
Literally exactly what I said last video glad am not the only one
Go big or go home home. Kswap
This trip might not have been Smart, but it's hard to Beat
3:00 I think the Bens are ready for a Japan road trip
10:59 the part where they’re holding hands as they’re driving sends me
Oh my gosh. This is the whackiest G&G trip ever and I am totally here for it!!
WOW! What an ending.

I wish I could like this more than once
Both Bens decided to take the Freeway.
Keep it up. Authentic and Fresh. Something we all need in the Car community.
I was looking for Part 3 yesterday and this morning, THIS is my hangover cure. Love this channel🖤
The production value of these are so amazing! Love the trip content!

“WELL SHOOT PARDNER THIS GOTTA BE A SUBARU VEVO BISTRO CAFE AND GRILL SUPERCHARGED!”
Time to combine the Beats into a single, good car.
Seriously the best and the funniest road trip you never had ! 😂👍 keep going!
Every year I wait for these road-trips to come out and they’re definitely worth the wait!
I agree, also I love your avatar
How long would take them to swap engines between Beats? A day? If it is multi month trip, I would at least try this.
yeah the first beat is so clean, i'd want to swap the engine from the rusty one to the nice one
Video title should be "how many beats do you need to build a full car?" And the thumbnail is just ben slapping ben
They pick one of the most relaxing song and every core in your memory be unlocking
one of my fav series, im so glad you guys still do these so far every year. Always enjoyable to watch.
This definitely was the most expensive roadtrip you guys did

Ok, I thought this series might not deliver.
Wrong.
You guys deliver the goods again. Ep 3 really made me chuckle. Those outtakes were hilarious.
"Imagine hitting into a very expensive mercedes with a texas license plate so the owner will probably shoot you" 😂😂
22:21 Video is complete before the car expires. Perfect.
Saw you opening the beat’s fuel hole with the key, there should be a small tab to pull that is only visible when the drivers side door is open
The clip at the end “after calmly discussing our options” GOLD
I REALY like the outtakes i nerly died.
The behind the scence of the voiceover was allsow pretty interessting.
Keep up the good work
As an european it's really fun to see the difference in roads, yours are very straight and long, ours are usually a lot more twisted and curvy
By far my favorite road trip. Full of laughs
i love how its not all just about cars idk why but i just love it
The music for your videos is amazing! That fender Rhodes fits y’all’s vibes perfectly.
This is the most comical show you guys ever produced. I’m so grateful to your show. You guys are awesome!
Oh man. Please please keep the Beats and Engine swap them ! I’ll watch every single episode.
This new format of what really happens when real life shits on your plans is GREAT !! FINALLY REAL CONTENT!!!YOU AND THROTTL HOUSE ARE PIONEERS!!!!
Great Series, tbh didn’t have high expectations, but I loved every second of it
That road trip looked like a painful amount of work! All the best to both of you!
love the road trips.
Love the “it’s a good car” throwback
The mooney spent on all the cars, they could've flew to japan, bought a couple kei cars, and done a road trip over there! 😂
Would love to see the Beat all fixed up and the Subaru vivio bistro sports fixed up for a rematch!
I'm officially in love with how the Beat looks.
Subaru Vivio Bistro Sports was the real star of the show though. It was here for a great time, but sadly not a long time.
Best scent ever. My all time favorite

As a Southern Alabama resident, I can feel the humidity through the video. We live in a gaseous state of soup here.
Aw man, it's over! Loved this series
You guys drove through where I grew up, Louisiana and Houston. This road trip is so nostalgic for me. I even saw a clip of the town where I was born 🥲
That last blooper KILLED me.

so what I'm getting from this is that Ben's new car is going to become a parts car to fix the original beat? :D
Was about to say the same! 👀
The biggest problem with K cars is the lack of the sixth gear. If the car would be below 3k rpm on highway, a lot of the issues could be avoided
Best automotive channel on RUclips!
