  • In this video (Part 1), Marine interviews ME (what??) on my curriculum as a professor of environmental studies and geography (specifically about political ecology). I talk about the paradigm shifts I'm hoping to inspire and how I work to dismantle dominant narratives about nature and commodification. Marine and I compare / contrast our approaches in education, me being primarily a lecturer and Marine a facilitator (although with Marine's help, I'm working to incorporate more facilitation into my courses!).
Make sure to watch Part 2 of this interview on Marine's new channel! Smart Activities to Make Your Lectures Less Boring: • Smart Activities to Ma...
We dive into activities designed by Marine that I've been using in class to inspire 'aha' moments.

Interesting concept. Nature as a social construct is an interesting idea.

"Nature" itself is an othering unless it is understood as EVERYTHING. Yes

I'm a business student at the moment, in order to subvert / occupy the business 'ecosystem'. You can count on me to dismantle the business structure while taking advantage of the resources for our transition into a new, sovereign cultural ecosystem. Now that I am in politics, I now plan to acquire a masters (after business BA) in political science rather than business leadership. We are occupying our opposition's spaces, we are taking over. Very good.

You, God and All scientists do not know that the concentration of Wealth in the hands of an Owner happens in two ways:
      1) The free market, no matter how much it is regulated, leads inevitably to extreme levels of Wealth concentration.
      2) The exploitation of the Employee by the Owner, also, leads inevitably to extreme levels of Wealth concentration.
The only sustainable solution is perpetual redistribution of some Wealth from places of Extreme concentration (regardless if private or public) to every citizen evenly. A Repeated Redistribution is the only way towards a more equal society because nobody can stop the exploitation at the work place and nobody can stop the concentration of Wealth by free trade.
      1) To sustain a free market You must tax the extreme concentration of Wealth and then give it evenly to everybody , again and again, so that the market can have customers (i.e. humans with money to spend).
      2) Do not let foreign entities extract profit from our markets. We must extract profits from their markets
