I've known and done this trick myself for a while but god damn, Josie's face when she opened her hand.. That's why I do this.

Eli had prepared the hands with the x's beforehand (no pun intended), and during the trick replaced the participants' hand with the fake hand when they weren't looking.
Dang it, such a simple trick all along!
Never trust a magician when they simply just "touch" you.
About scamstuff, you guys definitely need to have an warehouse somewhere in Europe. When I bought stuff to Portugal, I needed to import that and that was at that time extra 30€. It's going to make our European lives some much easier (and cheaper xD)

I have at least a dozen other tricks that I think are going to get a bigger reaction then double cross and yet still doublecross is always the one everyone goes crazy for. It's a great trick so easy to learn and with the right presentation can really blow people away.
I love this trick. It probably gets the best reactions of anything I do. I still have people talk about it years later.

I love this trick, i used to do it with cigarette ash haha seeing it done with a tiny stamp hidden in the bouton of the sharpie is genies!
The problem with the trick is it's too perfect. It feels like there needs to be a prop to take the heat off. Maybe you write an "x" on a card, then force that card or something. Make people believe that the ink was transferred like that, but then the magic is how did it happen so perfectly (no smudging, ink doesn't come off the card, etc.)
As performed, there's not a lot of mystery, there's truly only one moment where the magic could have happened.

I was thinking ash the whole time because of some trick I read about decades ago. Then I replayed and saw the cap.
"Haha how can I tell everybody I know how the trick is done? Just say it? No, not clever enough. Tell them I own and and recommend it? No, I'll just reveal it like a clown."
this is the first time i have been able to figure out how they did something without needing to be told...i think i'm...learning.

Totally saw how that was done. Stamp on the bottom of the pen gets taken off and stamped on the palm of the hand when he holds both hands.
3:00 is obvious after the fact. Clearly he had to make contact, so once you've seen the trick, you know to look for any point when he touched them. Tricks usually work better in person than recorded.

Yes, it's the most present if you slow the video down to .25x speed. Just before it you see him pressing the marker into it too.

it looks like the rear side of the sharpie has a hidden stamp. you can see him putting it back on a second later.

sharpies dont have caps on the opposite end. i am guessing there is a bit of marker on that cap and he holds it funny to try and hide it coming off, then touches it to their hand gently when he touched their hands drawing the x. it would be a fairly simple thing to make and even make it in a way that you cant tell it is a rigged marker, get a sharpie and dry erase marker, a little felt to make the stamper part, and cut the end of the sharpie off, replace innards with the dry erase marker, would take 20 min to diy. why you charging so much?
Edit: Just googled it, found it is in 10 seconds, I was right except for me thinking it was dry erase. Your videos trained me well in what to look for, brushwood. lol. though still why so expensive? on amazon it like 15$, and those sellers I assume got it even cheaper than that from the distributor in order to make a profit.
I realised Eli flashed when he drew the x on his hand. Also the constant edits don't help the trick seem impossible when he has so much time to ditch the small stamp and have that action edited out.

The tiny stamp is concealed in the bottom of the sharpie

I believe in time travel at a 10. I believe in it particularly in travelling at the speed of 1 into the future. That said, if they had just opened their hand before he wrote an X on his own hand, it would have been him sending it into the past, because the mark was put there at the very start. Presumably, the reason for the delay is for the ink to dry in their own hand, while you have it still damp on your own hand.

@@maximem.ste-marie3578 Travelling 1 sec/sec, or 1 min/min, or 1 hr/hr into the future makes all the sense in the world. Not doing so makes no sense. It implies time passes, and you don't leave that one moment.

@@maximem.ste-marie3578 Travelling into the future at speeds of 1 is what everybody does. I don't believe in travelling into the past, nor travelling at any other speed in any other direction. But travelling into the future at the speed of 1 makes perfect sense. If you don't think it makes sense, ask if you get older. If you do, you must be travelling in time. At what speed does a normal person travel in time. Exactly 1 into the future.

I see how it's ACTUALLY done now. I made my own version based on what I thought and I think it's much cleaner and you don't have to get rid of the "prop" on the finger. My version is 100% done with the pen. Any guesses as to how my version works?
I know this from my childhood, when he touched his hands asking left or right hand in that time he paste with his finger in there Palm, so easy bruh....

Dont forget this is a channel mainly for begginer magicians. Tricks like this help you to start selling an illusion, as you work towards other tricks.

between 3:00 an 3:01 there is a big black spot in his finger, then a few seconds later he puts his finger conspicuously on the back of the marker, it is a removable stamp that you can just put on the finger, then find an excuse the touch their hand and bam! now you have a x on the hand, and then put it back in the pen! simple and easy, the same effect can be pulled of with some scotch tape, d'know why you'd pay 60$ for that but yea.
