Just stumbled across your channel from the Yota Walk around and I was blown away by each of you. My wife and I long to do some overlanding once we can leave the shackles of a job. We just purchased a new 2023 4Runner and once we pay the truck off next year we are planning on doing the bare minimum to at least take it off-roading and explore New England. We want to make mods little by little each year as our skills and needs grow. Looking forward to your future videos and adventures. Absolutely love any how-to and review vids on gear.
Thank you so much. Stay tuned we are heading down into Central America on January 1st and we’ll be posting while there. I’ll also be doing gear reviews and install stuff. If you have any questions when building your setup please feel free to hit me up here or IG.
Yeah! Awesome to see the channel kick off you guys! The rig walk around will be available here today around 5:00PM! ruclips.net/video/crG69UaEhj4/видео.html
It’s an event we’re doing for Battle Born Batteries! We’ll be doing back country camping and off road stuff before and after the event! We really don’t have a etched in stone itinerary, because we’ll be there pretty much all summer
Weather station is from Amazon. It’s the AcuRite Notos (3-in-1) 01604M Pro... www.amazon.com/dp/B00NIX4QQK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share The rack mount is the RAM Marine Antenna Mount w/ Flat Surface Base, 1.5 Ball and 1" -14 Threaded Post. We added threaded pipe and threaded pipe adaptor from True Value, to hold the sensor unit up higher. The back unit runs on AC or AAA batts. The web site states the batteries are for power failures only but we run it purely on the batts and have had no problems. The sensor unit and base station live in the little Pelican box on the roof while we’re moving down the road. Hope that helps. We took the Ram mount and sensor with us the the hardware store to fit everything together. Hope that helps.
Subscribed. I am also a 4Runner owner, ‘19 Pro. Love what you guys are doing. I am only a weekenderlander but getting ideas on my build thru watching what has worked for the two of you.
Thank you very much!!! We started as weekenderlanders! We would go on as many trip as we could, and ever trip gave me new ideas for the rig that actually made differences in its performance
Can’t wait to see what you guys have in store. Just saw you rolling through Monroe Wa. Good looking setup! I’d love a more detailed walk around of the 4runner. Safe travels!
Saweet!!! Enjoy the open road. Let me know when you're coming to the Reno area. Plenty of opportunities north of us at Black Rock and High Desert. Cheers.
Thanks Mike, we will definitely give you a call when we’re back in the area! Probably somewhere around December. We’re gonna heading up to Canada & Alaska! Stay tuned for more content on this trip! Thanks for subscribing and supporting us
Congratulations! I like your vide so I’ll be subscribing. I’m not sure what you have planned for future content but I’d like to know why you chose the 4Runner as your platform especially considering the weight you’re hauling. I own two 5th Gen’s so I’m not knocking it. I’d just like to know why you guys went that route. Also, would love to know what you feel is a minimum load out for beginner overlanders (e.g., skids, suspension, tires, recovery gear, etc). I look forward to watching your future content.
