    As an INTP this resonates. If I can safely share information with someone that no one else knows I feel a intimate connection. And I very much value longevity and history with someone. That means something to me like that person is supposed to be in my life. Connections do often happen through laughter... I love witty banter so if a person can handle my sense of humor without getting offended then we are cool

    Yes as an INTP I love humor the sillier the better it breaks the ice in social situations when I'm awkward .

    This has been most useful. As an INTJ working under most likely an INTP boss, I have been observing that the connection i have built with my boss is so very different than how it was usually built with anyother person in my life so far. In fact it was easier for to connect with my ENFP husband. I have been feeling confused about how and why of the scenario and your information provides the exact info that fits like a missing puzzle piece. Thats brilliant!

    While I have the utmost respect and appreciation for your thorough and well thought out, let alone accurate, analysis, I have to be the Aspies INTP and point out that you both look like you shopped for clothing at an Aleister Crowley disciple’s estate auction in the mid 90’s. Twinzies :)

      Have to admit I was thinking something similar-the juxtaposition of what they were saying versus what they were wearing was jarring for me

    This video was transcendent...(I don't believe I've used that word before). I feel like I've received new "Data points" that may possibly lead to a completion and a final conclusion...a certainty. Your point on anybody with Ti is going to be building intimacy with information is usable in different ways...a missing link in multiple different frameworks of understanding. Not to mention the introverted functions building intimacy and extroverted functions building connectivity...that a new idea for me...even 6 long years into my personality journey...This is information that could possibly solidify and make me finally feel confident in my type...and also helps with building relationships in general...in such a big way...thank you! P.s. I will still fastforward through your explanation of the car model after hearing it...and appreciating it...over time. ...now I'm going to rewatch.

    Super interesting!!! I will archive that. Extroverted functions as connection and introverted functions as intimacy. I've listened to a good handful of your podcast episodes. I love your guy's ideas & food for thought. Really enriching.

    INTJ here and this video really resonates with me too! Spot on! My INTP bf seems to create his intimacy using his Ti most definitely and I would even say Si when it comes to creating memories that he refers to. Ne and exploring also has created new memories. My INTP makes me laugh and I can be pretty witty at times... that’s my kind of humor.

    Can a person be in somewhere between INTP & ESTP ? My test result showed that I'm 49% extrovert - 51% introvert, 45%Sensing - 55% Intuition

    • @sven1131
      @sven1131 4 года назад +2

      In my personal opinion you are only one type, but with differently evolved functions that might irritate you. The test is only a guideline with roughly 80% accuracy. You have to look deeper into yourself, your values, thoughts and behaviour to fully understand what type you are. While both INTP and ESTP share Ti and Fe, the big difference lies in Se hero for ESTP (with Ni minor) while INTP has Ne parent (with Si child). Intuitive vs Sensing (for me) plays a major role in how you communivcate with people, it's difficult to even think about an in between.
      Keep in mind that every type has 4 sides of the mind. Your main identification is your ego, but there are also your subconscious, unconscious and super ego who all play a part of who you are depending on the situation. Each side has its own type, so you actually are always 4 types at the same time.
      It might help to think deeply about your personal functions. Introversion and extroversion are probably the easiest. How do you feel when you engage with many people for a longer period of time, especially when you don't know them well, eg at a party? Is this thought exausting for you, if you do it on a regular basis? Or if you think about being alone for 2 weeks, does this sound exhausting? The difference is mainly how you recharge your energy, it has for example nothing to do with how social you behave.
      C.S. Joseph is a good alternative source with in depth videos for the types. You may want to watch the videos for INTP and ESTP to compare them with your own actions. As an introduction i would also recomment the videos about the 8 possible cognitive functions to understand in what behaviours they show.

    INTx (category) has hardly any commonalities to show between INTPs and INTJs. No functions in common in the stack...

      And yet they report similar challenges and interests. Many INTJs and INTPs mistype as the other. ~ Joel

      @@Personalityhacker, hello!
      I think this is due largely to this: INTJs display a form of nerdyness too, in the form of knowledge and clever insights. Knowledge they gather along the road of achieving their objectives. Insight because of dominant Ni.
      I don't think they face any of the stereotypical problems of the INTP. I see them as double-deciders (Te-Fi) single observers (Dom Ni). They have 2 cognitive preferences that are reasonably strong, to help them take decisions, and only 1 observing cognitive preference good enough to be counted as strong and reliable (Ni). Te brings to the table so much practicality, and Fi so much sense of their own self.... 2 things INTPs are clueless about, for the most part.
