In Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.
The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.

One thing I really loved about Sinister Strange was when he said the line -“Have you ever had one of those dreams when you’re falling, uncontrollably? That was probably me.” That fight scene with the musical notes was so well done. I don’t know whether they matched the music that was playing at that time but if it did then that’s really impressive.

They also cut out the part where Wanda says “try not to break the multiverse Stephen” which made me so mad cuz that was my favorite line!!!!😭😭

The dialogue with Sinister Strange saying "Things just got out of hand..." was cut out from the theatrical cut of the film. Also we didn't get to hear Doctor Strange say “The multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little." The second line is something that should've have been said in this film because it picks up right after the events of WandaVision. Multiverse of Madness was supposed to have dovetailed from WandaVision and then No Way Home would've have been conclusion to Multiverse of Madness. Also we didn't get a Zombie Scarlet Witch and instead we got a Zombie Strange, but we got a Carrie version of Wanda Maximoff Variant during the Illuminati Headquarters attack.
Nice spot about that the second line also cut. My guess is it might have sounded silly or redundant after Spider-Man No Way Home
Was there ever a full-zombie Scarlet Witch in the trailers? Or just one who looked like it? I thought there was still a hint to Zombie SW in the movie when she's chasing them through the tunnels
@@FlicksAndTheCity Nope there wasn't It was only Defender Strange becoming Zombie Strange. Wanda Maximoff variant just had blood all over her face fighting the Sentry giving that Sissy Spacek Carrie look.

The sinister strange line was probably only shot for the trailer and the second line was taken from no way home and was probably never going to be in the movie. If anyone were to say that I’m this movie, it would’ve probably been anyone but strange saying it to him in a confrontation. Also there never was a zombie wanda just a very bloody one that looked zombieish, which we did get.
Although I still love the movie, I cant deny that it was quite messy. It didnt feel like a doctor strange multiverse movie, rather a darkhold corrupted scarlet witch movie. Elizabeth Olsen even said that she didnt meet John Krasinski nor Patrick Stewart, indicating that she may have shot her scenes alone. What saved the movie for me was Wanda. Yes, some people are torn since the movie undermines her story ark in wandavision, but Elizabeth Olsen is just amazing which makes me forgive the movie. We’re not worthy of Elizabeth Olsen’s acting😭

We never would’ve even gone to see DS2 without Olsen. But as great as her acting is, the general mess of Raimi’s horror movie feels like a pretty steep step down in character-driven excellence and creativity from “WandaVision”. MCU should really have Jac Schaeffer writing projects where Wanda has a significant role, but it’s Marvel so what are the chances of that?
As much as I like the Wanda character I definitely wouldn’t complain if Olsen either left the mcu altogether or only took their projects very sparingly between doing films that could be Oscar contenders.
I really don't like pointing fingers but Sam Raimi should have watch WandaVision at least, not just studied some key points of the miniseries. The pacing was almost nonexistent and the twist was brought up too early without proper build-up. Wanda’s arc feels like Westview all over again. This movie feels like Wanda and friends rather than a Dr. Strange movie. It wasn't bad but it was a bit off and unhinged (like Wanda), even. It didn't sit well with her own miniseries or bring in any more significant character growth for Stephen Strange, compare to other movies.
I hate to admit that Sam Raimi is so overrated regarding his performance on this particular movie, the transitions were meh and the horror elements in the movie is a bit cringe especially the reflection and shutting doors scene at kamar taj. It felt like he didn't do his research well.
I agree, Her acting skills here were above everyone lol she was actually crazy, sad, mad, and evil.

some of those lines might have been used for the trailers to throw people off, "try not to break the multiverse strange" and "is going to be fun" was used to hide Wanda being a villian especially when she says it in the trailers are of scenes that are in the movie but with different lines and the lypsync in those trailers aren't accurate either

I think Wanda says "it's going to be Fun" in a deleted scene where wanda says something like you can't save Chavez from me and strange says you are wrong or taunts wanda and then wanda says "ok .. it's going to be Fun "
all the trailers sounded like in this movie we'd see strange being judged for his actions from the past. yet the only judging we get to see was illuminati judging our strange for their stranges actions :D idiots.
I definitely would like to see Scarlet Witch return. Her character evolves with each MCU installments, and it would be great to continue her story.
Elisabeth Olsen signed as i recall, 7 year contract in this year, so i suppose Wanda is nowhere near the end

I think they should have given Charles and Wanda more fighting scenes rather than just a neck snap. Although the neck snap was super creepy.

The whole movie was disappointing, really. It felt more like an Infinity War plot instead of an original story.
wanda ripping and tearing the illuminati apart was so scary and epic and shows how damn strong she is. it was so creative aswell.
I would have loved to see more of a fight between Charles and Wanda in her mind, and his chair levitating. I loved the movie. It really was an arc for Stephen, who finally had to learn to trust someone else to save the day. Would have loved to have seen McAdams as Clea. It would have wrapped their relationship up so nicely.

I loved that Rachel got a bigger part in this movie, but when I had read that she could be playing Clea, it felt kinda weird because that's the face of his ex.
Besides, Christine just doesn't like him or think they can work out, so if he finds someone with the same exact face, it would downplay his rejection and prevent his growth. So I'm glad he gets to move on with a completely different character. Charlize Theron felt like a breath of fresh air.
The fact that Xavier was defeated so easily is one of my only complaints about this movie.

@@CarurossTheSecond218 I get that Wanda would win, but Charles is supposed to one of, if not the, most powerful psychics in Marvel. He should have at least been able to put up a fight. I don't know how the 90's series relates to the comics, but Xavier was able to combat the phoenix inside Jean at one point in the series.
I love this movie, I wouldn’t mind having another extra 30 min added to it… actually It would be a blast! It’s madness anyway.

I love how they basically gave the Scarlett witch a clean slate in the end, she’s clearly not dead! Also, I genuinely enjoyed strange’s character development; how we see him admitting to Cristine that he’s afraid then she tells him ‘face your fears’ and when clea shows up he says ‘I’m not afraid’ ..I thought that was a full circle moment since they’re both gonna fall in love in the next movie
You love how they gave her a clean slate? That’s literally one of the most frowned upon storytelling devices because it means nothing of substance happens.
I think you're spot on with the full circle thing, as Clea is Dr Strange's wife in the comics
@@pooloftim8263 it's a redemption moment. She definitely doesn't have a fully cleaned slate, she's committed some extreme atrocities. Hundreds of people are dead or severely traumatized across multiple universes, that's not going away because she destroyed the dark magic castle/books

The MCU has always been appalling when it comes to deleted scenes and refusing to ever have an extended cut. Because it's a shared universe, they're terrified to ever add anything back in that might be contradicted despite it being good.
Yeah the movie felt like a milder justice league situation rather than a cohesive movie which pretty much irks me a lot.
Would really like to see the Raimi cut tho, most likely the people who saw it in the test screenings just love the familiar MCU self aware jokes and couldn't appreciate campy horror.
Or they were oblivious to the MCU lore.
The deleted scenes sound more cohesive and better to me considering how unsatisfying that black bolt and mr fantastic cameo was and an extended professor x vs wanda battle may have been cooler.
We cannot really deny the fact that Marvel did a great job in casting Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda...

Too bad they didn't do a great job in writing her character. If you pay close attention to the comic books, her personality, powers, even her origin story is completely different!
In my opinion, they could have built her into a much better character.

X3 sucked, Dark Phoenix with the GOT actress sucked, we got a true Dark Phoenix movie with Dr. Strange 2.
I also noticed we didn’t get the line “it’s about time you showed up” by Wanda. I know we got a slightly toned down version of “I knew sooner or later you’d show up” but in one of the trailers it said that and I was kinda looking forward to it because it would’ve been like evil Wanda’s alternative line to the “I knew sooner or later you’d show up”
Watch that trailer again, it was just a voice over to con you into thinking it was going to be a Wanda and Strange team up, but it wasn't. Every MCU trailer has them.

Interesting that they didn't have an ending before they started filming. Sam was probably like "hmmmm... how should I end this then" and then decided to recycle his Spider-Man 2 ending and just make Wanda go "I will not die a monster!" and bury herself like Dr Ock did

Yes he just did a poor version of Spider Man 2. Wong being hostage (as Mary Jane) while the villain tell him her evil plan and Wanda redemption in the end, like both Octopus and Wand corrupted by another thing
My theory about the red explosion when Wanda destroyed the castle is that Chthon kidnapped Wanda in the last second.
I have to agree (since she is the vessel of Chthon, I don't think he will allow her to die immediately).

I think it's more, Wanda survives and we next see having forgotten what she's done and that she even has power, a soft reset as they did in the comics.
Loved the Wandavision series and it gave insight into the pain and solitude that Wanda was suffering from. She lost so much and to lose it all again and more gave us an understanding at what drives her to get her children back, even though they aren’t hers. She really is the most powerful Avenger and displayed this fighting Thanos in Endgame and wiping out Illuminati in Dr Strange 2, holy shit that was violent!
Hopefully she comes back to us at some point in the future and gets some happiness in the end……long live the Scarlet Witch!

In the comics he’s very important in Doctor Strange’s origin as it was Mordo attempting to assassinate his own master (the Ancient One) and Doctor Strange attempting to stop Mordo is what prompts the Ancient One to train him
And then Mordo is also very important because he aligns himself with Dormammu who is also really important
And his importance just come from him being a constant presence in all of Marvel comics
Raimi already got accused of playing the hits in this. If he literally recreated Evil Dead, with wanda as the kandarian demon picking off sorcerers in a cabin in the woods, people would’ve said he was full on creatively bankrupt.
The only thing I would change would be longer fight scenes. By the time I relished them, they were already over. Maybe a longer Wanda vs illuminati where they out up a bigger fight and an extended Wanda vs zombie strange before he gives the fight over to America
Wanda doesn't fight, she just uses magic. That sets a limitations to the fighting scenes.

We need more scarlet witch, she’s the best consistent part of the mcu series. Her backstory is painful and relatable, it shows us how we ourselves sometimes become villains as a result from our trauma
I desperately want Wanda back in the movies, even though any other Wanda from another multiverse would be fine but the original Wanda who is so powerful now would be preferred cuz we as the audience have seen her for so long and are connected to her and not any other Wanda.
Yea idk if I would like if they brought a another Wanda from a different universe. I’ve grown to love this character for her arc in the earth 616 and she’s my favorite. Bringing in a variant to replace our Wanda I personally wouldn’t like that.

Also I was hoping to see Xaiviers fight with the red one in his astral armor. He is the master of the mind and I felt he might have given a better fight. No wheelchair in the astral plane but Xavier armored for a fight but also I understand time constraints
Professor X was able to bind The Dark Phoenix in Jean Grey’s mind and also permanently trapped The Shadow King in the astral plane, so he would definitely had a chance against Scarlet Witch especially since she was remotely controlling Wanda from another universe.
Wanda is the daughter of magneto. Jean Grey has almost the same power as Wanda. Jean can also control people mind like charles do.
The dialogue with Sinister Strange saying "Things just got a little out of hand..." Should have been in the final version of the film.

Because he's kinda like Rorshach i guess, a magic absolutist most likely.
Also because the ancient one used the dark dimension power and the time stone to save the universe which strange followed up on(MCU explanation).
My guess is that he becomes a villiain by being a hypocrite, unnecessary violence and taking lives like Rorshach in his path of absolutism of eliminating sorcerers.
Yes. It was implied in the end of Doctor Strange. To me, he gave off potential villain vibes throughout the movie.

Maybe more like kaecilius who uses the dark dimension for selfish reasons and calls the ancient one a hypocrite in the starting when she uses the mirror dimension dark power manipulation. But the ancient one uses her immortality to prevent bad stuff from happening.
I like how we all thought that it was 616 Strange is the one who said the line "I never meant for any of this to happen." but in the movie it was Sinister Strange who uttered this line.
I feel like if the red flash at the end was her dying, I feel like it would be a lot more, considering her power throughout MoM, it wouldn't just me a small flash, i feel like it would be more like a wave of chaos magic with a huge range

My thoughts are different, I believe she might have been able to unlock dimensional power or just teleported away.
People are theorizing that when Wanda died, that red blast of chaos magic was the Scarlet Witch dying, & now Wanda is free of the Scarlet Witch.

Honestly...I said it was an ok movie when I finished it, but the longer I think about it the less I like it. It feels like it has...0 consequences or stakes? If there's infinite universes, then our character doesn't matter because theres always an identical version somewhere. If Wanda destroys the multiverse, maybe there's another multiverse where she doesn't? Like...who gives a fuck? Its like going to sleep. Maybe I'll wake up and live another day, or maybe I'll die in my sleep. I don't care either way. Why should I?
I felt like the movie was mostly spectacles and shock value and was very Halloween-ish. It’s fun but short lived.
No Stakes actually makes it realistic like if the stakes were that high, where are the superheroes there?
Sure, but there aren't a ton of ways of accessing the multiverse. It's why America Chavez is so central to the plot. She is the link between universes. Otherwise, dreamwalking is the only real way to get to any other universe, and that's not permanent.
Also, I think there's an implication that there are some other beings who only exist in one universe, like America, who don't dream.
The movie doesn't have many in-universe consequences, but it sets up a lot of potential for the future of the series. The first canon introduction of the Fantastic Four, Inhumans, and X-Men in the MCU, and some hints towards Secret Wars

They paced the movie extremely well. For 2 hours, it felt like the movie was packed with a lot of content.
Wanda attacking kamar taj looks more like an Endgame scene because the fight in mount Wundagore is kinda boring because of lack of fights

I'm glad 616 Mordo didn't die like that, as I want his arc to go through Strange. That said, I think it could've worked with as a Mordo that would've been paired with the opening's 'Defender' Strange, trying to avenge that Strange's death and getting killed in the process.
The trailer line, "Things just got out of hand", was quoted by Xavier when explaining how 838 Strange got corrupted.
I personally think the red pulse of chaos magic had nothing to do with Wanda dying, and maybe not even protecting herself. I think that red pulse came from both all of the dark holds being destroyed, along with the darkhold Temple. I think the red pulse was all of that being released, not dissipated. And that that pulse was the forbearer of Chthon
Okay let me get this straight I just went to see Multiverse Madness in the theaters couple days ago and I think the movie was kick butt awesome and I would like to see more Fantastic Four appearances in the Multiverse

You know, it's kind of impressive how they still managed to pull off making this movie despite so many changes and problems faced. I honestly don't mind that the movie was a bit messy/chaotic or the fact that Dr. Strange doesn't even seem like the main character (I see a lot of people complaining about this). I just appreciate the CGI in the Book of Vishanti and travelling through the multiverses scenes, and Sam Raimi's style
"I love you in every universe" got me.
I actually prefer a post credit scene introducing Clea than one with dp in it 😅

What do you think of Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness and these deleted scenes?
The whole X-Men: The Animated Series theme playing in the background as Charles Xavier makes his introduction with the exact design from the animated show with the green attire, blue and white tie and Yellow Hover chair was a nice moment. Even the telepathic use of his power with the echo's coming towards the audience as he uses it against Wanda Maximoff Variant matched to the use of his telepathic abilities from the animated show of 90s.
There needs to be a Raimi Cut of the movie, with all the deleted scenes.

Now I'm mad. Since it was said that therw would be a x-men cameo I hoped for professor X to fight Wanda in a telepathic battle. Which was cut out. I feel robbed.

yes wanda should and will return her character is so detrimental to the MCU. everyone knew Wanda was going to be the main villain. they should have kept the scene where she murders our mordo. it would have alluded to just how op the scarlet witch was from the start of the film. overall it was a great film, it did seem a little rushed thought. the only real problem I had with it, was having Wanda as the only villain and not Chthon or Mephisto pulling the strings with some type of appearance from them. especially after we just left wanda with the trauma of westveiw, Agatha Harkness telling her she doesn't know what she's released. in addition to the grief but acceptance of losing her family. btw where the f**k is spectral vision at? overall all 7.5/10. great content btw loved the video.

Hopefully they don't go with a variant Wanda in the future, because it would not make sense starting from scratch with her story. Specially sense the variant Wanda never got to be The Scarlet Witch, because she had her children. So, they should continue with the Wanda story from the universe that we know. The Wanda who's ending left in a cliffhanger.
Wanda and Steven were together a lot in the comics so I really like this movie. Wanda is a nexus being. The universe will not allow her to die. Love Wanda. I feel her pain
Here's a Theory for you:
Since watching the film (3 times now) i keep wondering about the ending. When America portaled Scarlet Witch to the universe containing her children and alternate Wanda, there was that moment where alternate Wanda came up, gracefully touched SW's face and said, "Know that they will be loved..." *I wonder* ... if maybe in that brief moment when they were touching, that they switched bodies. Perhaps Alternate Wanda felt that she understood SW at that moment and perhaps even felt sorry for her (considering everything she lost). Keep in mind that this entire exchange could've taken place telepathically so that the audience heard nothing. They switch bodies so that SW can be with the children and Alternate Wanda went to close the Darkhold for good and *She* is the one who died at the end of the film.

For those who dont know ,Raimi said that there were initial plans of including deadpool in doctor strange 2 ,but was not included as they thought they shouldn't introduce deadpool in a small credit scene

They exist in all the other universe so it wasn't necessarily the ones from earth 838 that we say in this movie that were asking for help

He didn’t say this, he said. “He is the first one to let me into Kumar Taj” and then Chavez says “great” and strange replies with “and then he snapped and dedicated his life to trying to kill me”.

The part in the trailer where Wong is talking to Strange about what he did in Spider-Man's movie was a facade.
He said the "I did what I had to do", I think during Strange's talk with Wanda when Wanda was complaining about Strange surrendering the time stone to Thanos. The part of Wong, on the other hand, was in the mountain, as he was telling Wanda "You can't control everything" when she expressed what she wants to do with America's power. I'm sure of it because I vividly remember Wanda saying "But I can." Also, the scene of Strange sitting down, posed as if he's talking to Wong, was in 838's Sanctum while he was talking to Mordo.

I wanna know what's happening with the Wanda from the Illuminati Universe. I want her to learn how to be the Scarlet Witch. All the journey that Wanda 616 lived and they never showed on MoM, I want to see her going through that.
I also want her to be in House of Harkness without being the main character. I want her to take advantage from the knowledge of Evil Wanda, and I want her to meet Agatha from the Illuminati Universe, and her to become her mentor in the right way.
I want her to become the Scarlet Witch as it was predicted she will be, not as an evil ruler, but as a powerful guardian of the Multiverse. There must be other ways of traveling through it without America's power.
That will lead her to a main film like "Endgame" where the paths of all of them cross. But this will happen only after a movie of the "Children's Crusade" of course

I actually don't really like Wanda's character because she was the character who could not accept reality and put so many lives in danger through her greed and selfishness. All her mind powers wasted onto her when she's mentally unstable. Didn't really like how this movie was mainly focused on her. I liked her much better as the good guy before WandaVision, and was hoping she could have teamed up with Dr Strange to fight against the Evil Strange who should've been the 'greatest threat to humanity.' I like that plot so much better.

I think Wanda did die because take a quick look at her situation, she lost her man Vision, and she knows that she could never be with her boys, so that all could of lead for her to have nothing to lose and have nothing to live for so she just sacrificed herself. That’s just my theory though and would make sense. I really hope she does come back though..

Wanda is very overpowered. They just needed to remove her otherwise the threats in the future movies would easily be defeated by waving her hands.

When you showed the Pre Visual of Professor X Fighting The Scarlet Witch, there was another pre Visual that was leaked around the same time the Professor X vs Wanda Visual. The shot was Agatha Harkness (Katryn Hahn) and Wanda Maximoff talking to each other. Most likely she was either present in the Illumanti headquarters because the shirt Wanda wears in the pre Visual is identical to the shirt variant Wanda wears when she kills all the Illumanti members or there was a deleted scene where she spoke to her at some point in the film.
The movie was ok at best had great scenes, scenery, Graphics and fight scenes. Loved the horror aspect and the gore. I also really enjoyed a lot of the concepts in this movie But I must say I was pretty disappointed about how they went about certain things and choices they made. Also I disliked the political garbage that was just in the movie bc hey we gotta keep hitting us over the head with it. I would say the thing I didn’t like about it the most is that strange felt alittle bit side tracked in his movie so yea for me 6.5/10
