Great job and amaising skills.
I did something similar but i used what we call sandwich pannels 100mm thick and just made a frame around them.
Made the door strong and light at the same time
Thank you, of course it's a good choice, at first I had the same idea 😉
¡Muchas gracias!😃
Wow! What an outstanding video and letting us see your craftsmanship you put into your work!
Thank you very much😃
Excellent 👍
That's an amazing and hard work. Think could be easier and cheaper to buy one
Amazing 👌👍

Duża konstrukcja jak na TIG. Szacuneczek.
Dziękuję, aczkolwiek konstrukcja była spawana magiem, tigiem tylko niektóre jej elementy, m.in. zawiasy
Amazing build :)
23:11 i love an old door. Even old still refreshing
Wow. I have a homemade hangar and have been wanting to do this for years but your craftsmanship exceeds mine and a steel door thats 36’ long would collapse my aluminum hangar!
Extraordinario trabajo
AMAZING.
Great 👍
Awesome work!
Pekerjaan 👍
Maravilloso 😍 trabajo 👏👏👏, 👍

Sprawdzaj zabezpieczenia.
Dziękuję 😉
Great video, great project, great craftsmanship!!!
Thank You!😃
When no other option and you need to cut galvanized sheet of metal with angle grinder to avoid burning just cut it with additional 5-10mm and then use manual shears - it take more time but it works like a charm and its very satisfying. Best option are nibblers and then manual shears.
Mega, da kann einer was 👍
Fantastic job!! Happy New Year 2023 !
Thank you very much! Happy New Year!😃
You got some serious skills there and I love the door, keep up the good work👍🇬🇧
Thank you very much🙂

thank you very much, contrary to appearances, the cost was not so high;)

Hi Mateusz. Absolutely perfect job, very massive :-) I have one question - what type of spray gun or foam is used in the video? I'm absolutely amazed at how you spray the flat layer as a paint. I thought it isn't possible if gun foam is used. Really interesting...
Hello, thank you very much :) the gun is ordinary with an additional nozzle at the end which is included with the foam, and the foam is Polynor ... used a year ago ...
♥♥♥♥
a tonn of money in materials! nice in design and good skills anyway-
Contrary to appearances, a little more than a half of a panel door came out, the effect and quality are beyond compare. Thank you 😉
hard work but worth it. And warmer now.
I wanted to ask a question about safety! What happens if a orange strap fails? What is the probability the other strap will also breaks? (same age, stitching and wear) Can a security be built in, such as with an elevator? Did I miss that in the 3 episodes?
A lot of work just to have bi-folding door. I think I would have stayed with hinged doors. Really nice job, complicated but nice door. 👍
But if those straps fail...
Breaking the belt is almost impossible from my point of view. One such belt has a permissible load capacity of 4000 kg, and is tested for breaking under a load of 7500 kg. There are 2 in my gate, so theoretically they burst under a load of 15,000 kg. The gate weighs over 300, and a part of the load is transferred to the upper hinges and the frame through guide rollers, the probability of breaking - negligible. Of course, endurance changes over time, but is that also the case? The belts are inside, they are not affected by weather conditions, so they practically do not age. However, I was thinking about additional security, something like a ratchet. Ps. the gate has already been tested on lane 1, and it worked just as well as on lane 2;)
@@mateuszturek5760
You're fast.😁
Thanks.
I'm not worried about the belt it self. The attachment to the coils might wear out. Regular checkup (just like oiling hinges 😁) will do just fine for me.
I really appreciate all the effort and skill you have put in that door. Hats off to you.👍
@@paulwassenaar8351 Thank you! I am very pleased 😊

Very good
Thank You 😉
Pomysł i wykonanie super.
@@mateuszturek5760 No tak.
I made the bearing linings, i.e. the rollers, from polyamide, but their walls turned out to be too thin and over time they stretched, increased in diameter and fell off. so I made them again from steel and pressed them onto the bearings. I suggest making them from polyamide using a smaller bearing so that the roller walls are at least 8 mm thick.
Do people usually recommend like a small (1/2 - 1" / 12 - 25 mm) air gap between the back door facing and what ever type of insulation your using?
I'm not sure what you mean
👍👏👌
Ogólnie przerost formy, materiału i pracy.

So that looks hard, can you come over and show me how to do it? I'm not far from you, Northern Maine. Plus I'm a swell fella, so there's that.
😅 I don't think I can help, I live in Poland 😁
@@mateuszturek5760 That doesn't bother me, I will make sure all my Russian friends stay away while you're here!! I actually don't have any, they are either brainwashed idiots or dead somewhere in Ukraine
Nice dude. What's the counterweight? The Titanic??😂
😅
Very nice work....but I don't understand why such heavy material. Seems to me 1.5 mm material would have sufficed, but I'm a cheap lazy American.
Curious to see what kind of horsepower you need to open this heavyweight.
Thank You, yes, it could have been a little lighter, but it was not thinner And I wanted to get 100mm thick insulation, the motor with the reducer that will open it is 0.55kw
@@mateuszturek5760 I'd like 300mm fiberglass or rockwool insulation in my planned construction with internally folding bi-fold.
I've a 25' x40' kit version of this in storage-
www.americansteelspan.com/images/colorPbuilding.jpg
.836mm is material thickness! Amazingly it is rated for 225km winds
2nd part. ? I want to see that door working
the second part will be published soon, due to another project I had to stop building the gate, but I have already come back to it, so the publication of the second part is a matter of a few days
why u remove the guard plate from angle grinder LoL
Andarilho
Jakiej spawarki urzywasz?

Very nice job but not really necessary . the existing doors could have been insulated and sealed around the perimeter at a fraction of the work .
🇺🇦👍👍👍👏👏👏😍
Can you change a regular door to the sliding door in a older home
I don't need it for now
Dzień dobry
Jakiego kleju Pan użył do klejenia arkuszy blach??

very nice but seems way overbuilt.
Why don't renovate the house first, like the ceiling, wall, floor etc
I do it all the time on a regular basis, but you can't do everything at once
A really nice job, no matter what. However, it hurts me when I see somebody using a caliper to draw a line on a piece of steel!
Thank you, actually using a regular caliper does not bode well for her, that's why I use a TRACKER caliper, take a look at 5:52, and 21:07.
Regards🖐
As he said, he is using special type of caliper designed to trace lines on profiles and stuff like that ;)
