  • Now that we had prepared the floor it was ready for a sealing coat.
Oz roller covers were kind enough to send us some coat applicating tools, rollers, brushes. This made our job just that little bit easier.
2/3 of the shed is workshop, on this side we used a two part polyethene sealer that we added a small amount of tinters too to achieve a grey concrete colour. We also added sand into the last coat so that it would be more non slip. This will be a durable surface that will be easier to keep clean then raw concrete.
On the last 1/3 of the floor we opted for a more fancy finish, this will be where my little estuary boat will be stored and we will have storage for fishing gear, and other hobby activities . The black coat is epoxy, the fleck is epoxy and the top coat is polyethene.
We wanted a bit of a wow impact on this side so we opted for the black under coat, the fleck is 70% black and 30% grey and we also put approx. 300g of holographic fleck into each bucket of poly fleck. 3 x buckets of fleck of to the coverage of that floor. 6 buckets were recommended 😲 but very unnecessary I think, 4 maybe.
We are super happy with the finish of the floor.
