Am I the only one here who actually understood the reference this song was making? The relationship between the album art and the song? The album shows a mechanical human, which symbolizes all of us humans. It is repetitive to show that we're all becoming robots, doing the same tasks again and again and again. And the lyrics show how being different is not "acceptable" in the Human race. It describes in great detail, about us people, who're the victims of social media and social trends. For me personally, this son is one of the most meaningful and deep songs by 3DG. Matt Walst FTW!! Hope you become a better singer than Adam!

The song message isn't translated well. A song complaining about human behaviour becoming more robotic that feels contrived...even robotic to some degree.
The Most Generic Of Names That's one problem I find with this album, the message isn't translated well, and for a leraon who doesn't go into depth and analyze the song, it is something useless. Wish they had put in more elements of message.

I know Three Days Grace always had rather simple and sometimes cheesy lyrics, but stuff like this is even more generic an uninspired. Plus, Matt isn't growing on me. I dug Painkiller, but since then it was kinda downhill. The new singer doesn't sound bad whatsoever, but I always thought Adam's unique raspy, and brutal voice was great and really made me dig this band more than I would have if Matt was always around. His voice gave this band an edge for me. Now, it's all so typical.

I don't know why you guys think the lyrics are bad and repetitive.. I think that it's better (only in some songs) when the lyrics are getting repeated because then they stand out more and I'm pretty sure they did that on purpose.. TDG is capable of making good lyrics (like in 'I Am Machine' and 'Painkiller') and I think the lyrics in this song are getting repeated on purpose.. :)

Well in my opinion Matt tried to make this song repeat a lot because its about the human race being bad and repeatedly messing up. Matt tries to make his voice match the lyrics like in I Am Machine where he tried to sound robotic and boring on purpose. Matt is a good singer.

The lyrics may be repetitive, but the feel and tone to this song is just so intoxicating. When you think about it, we humans struggle to survive, just like animals do. We are animals too, and being human is truly a struggle. They call it the human race because you must keep running. At times, we all just want to stop running, but we can't if we want to get ahead in life. You can't help but think sometimes that you don't belong with man.

Man! These guys are still up and running and kicking ass as always. I understand that people miss Adam and I miss him too, but that doesn't mean the band has to lose its potential to be awesome! It's not the band's fault that Adam left because of his problem with drug addiction. I think Matt Walst is a very talented singer, and I think he's just as good as Adam Gontier, and not everyone feels the same way, but the fact that these guys are continuing their journey by keeping the band together despite their loss of a beloved band member, just fills my heart with joy. I think there's a great deal of courage in doing that! Thank you Three Days Grace for being such a wonderful band! You guys will always have a special place in my heart!

The lyrics help you express what you've been keeping bottled up but it's the fact that another person is expressing them that makes you feel less alone. I enjoy looking through the comment sections of songs like this for the same reason. Sorry it took so long for you to get an answer.
It's not just about being less alone it's about having people u can empathize with/who can empathize with u and relate to, 99% of the the time we're conforming to society because society tends to our common needs what we all share in common, it's when we feel we want something different we became outsiders "better off on our own now" that the struggle of our lives beginns.
