This was my first TDG song i heard live, and every time i remember those black lights when Matt yelled "Infrared!" I ALWAYS get chills
Saw a disturbed tdg concert in Philly and it was terrific. The shock down my spine was massive

I am fan of 3DG since 2007 thank God and still I am very proud but not surprized the Band is still popular. The Band's Management does a great Job I must say! After Leave of the One of the Best Vocalists of 2000-ies Adam Gontier they performed a great Opportunity to substitute Adam who seemed to be unsubstitutable. But Noone is. Completely agree. No one really gets it. Just look at the prefix defined, "infra- a prefix meaning “below,” used, with second elements of any origin, in the formation of compound words: infrasonic; infrared.

The biggest difference is when you hear Matt singing Never Too Late in concert. Still a great singer, but that song needs Adam
Music is completely subjective, you may not have realized it but there are a lot of people who did, including me. Not saying Matt is bad but he just isn't as good as Adam, at least for now.
@@elijah3865 I disagree, maybe Matt's voice doesn't fit TDG as well(although the first album with Matt is pretty damn good) as adam's, but Matt has a great voice but everyone became accustomed to hearing Adam's deeper voice that fits TDG better imo. Matt, however, absolutely KILLED it with My Darkest Days, and he does have a great voice. It's just that, especially those of us like me who grew up listening to TDG from way back 97' when they were first starting out. If you've never heard of the band "Groundswell" go check em out, that was TDG before TDG was TDG
What's sad is that Three Days Grace will probably never hear the end of all the complaints from these "Fans" who are living in the past and who can't seem to move on after 5 fucking years. Usually, when the lead of a band leaves, the style of that band changes. They start sounding really different from what they were, but here we are with Three Days Grace. The composition style, lyrics style all is the same, but it used to be Adam and now Matt. I can't appreciate them enough for keeping what they were doing with Adam alive with Matt as well.
Listen to Saint Asonia if you guys miss Adam so much. Three days grace and Adam both moved on from what happened in the past. Matt really deserves appreciation for the work he is doing.
Completely agreed. I love both bands, but still enjoy nu Three Days Grace more than Saint Asonia because nu TDG still sounds like Three Days Grace. The drums, bass and guitar still share the same style 10 years ago. Saint Asonia is on a whole other level, amazing but not Three days grace despite having Adam as the singer. Matt Walst does a great job singing for Three Days Grace.

It’s simply a battle of opinions whether this album sucks or not. I happen to like all their music. It seems Three Days Grace doesn’t have a normal fan base. They have a divided fan base. Part of it is on Adams side, part of it is on Matt’s. And the other part is neutral and likes both. People just have different opinions. It’s just that simple.

Let me write it again, as you clearly missed it the first time: "the other albums were lit, but this is simplified af and really sucks ...". They're referring to the fact that this is slowly turning into pop music, and not the hard rock that the band was originally producing. The sound is different, and there are no breakthroughs in the lyrics, only repeats. It may be catchy, but that doesn't make it a good song. A good song is relatable to everyone, has original tuning and a specific sound, so that you may recognize it over its competitors. This isn't as good of a song as we could hope for. Apart from this, you and the people who liked your original comment can't relate to the song, and yet you like it. This is because you like simplified pop (which by the way, means you have no taste in music, as that's a bunch of repeats about the very same topics). The song mentions everyone only seeing black and white, and you went straight ahead and did that. Twice. To round it off you're just another procrastinator who likes to think their opinion is superior.

Probably one of my most re-played songs. Such emotion, such meaning, such hidden depth and such personal connotations for me to unravel, drawing parallels to my own life. I'm a hobby writer and each time I listen to the song, a new scenes spring up in my mind. This song has so much to offer that it's ridiculous that it isn't popularized a lot more.
TDG is underrated, but hardly unknown! You guys need to appear on various media, doing TikToks or whatever can give you more exposure. Be more than just the name and your popularity will rise, giving more exposure to your core qualities as the awesome music and song makers. Kudos and best of wishes going forward!

So this happened to me the other day. I'm a part-time photographer, and I recently converted my camera to photograph in full spectrum. Which basically means it can detect infrared light. So there I was giving my new camera a spin, and like always I listen to music while I photograph. I put on a random playlist while I was shooting pictures in infra-red, and out of nowhere this song pops up. It gave me goosebumps.
It really felt like the song was talking to me, every word just hit every movement I made. My mind was literally flying at lightspeed, I made some really amazing pictures that day.
Now every time I photograph in infrared I put on this song. It calms me down and makes me see things in a different light, like noone else is in the room. :) Thanks for reading my little story.

Infrared is a type of light which hotter objects are brighter then colder objects, such as a human being brighter than say a book because of the heat. This song really just explains infrared if you listen closely. It's hard for me to talk about infrared for some reason, just look it up, Wikipedia or something will have a more reliable and scientific answer.

“A deep passionate love” is what Infra-Red means to me. I hear the song in a literal sense. I see it describing the love of two robots/cyborgs. They are no longer servants and are sentient. They are able to see each other in infrared and sync. When they sync they can block everything and see each other’s inner workings. The fiber optics. The artificial blood. Then they fall into each other and make robot babies.

Besides of what certain "fans" say, for me Three Days Grace is the same, which is one of the best out there regardless of their main singer or whatever. If people are not capable of appreciating the fact that the band held together as one even when its lead singer changed, and they're still making awesome songs, then they're not real fans and they should've not been listening to this band in the first place. yes, their style may have changed a bit; yes, Adam remains the best; and yes, Matt gets alot of hate now, despite it not being necessary at all. He is doing a really really great job, all their new songs/albums are pure awesomeness, he is a great singer and the most appropriate person after Adam, that's why he joined TDG. I'm pretty that if he wasn't good enough for the band, Barry, Neil and Brad would've chosen another singer. Now, I've been listening to TDG since 2009 until today and I won't stop listening to them regardless of the member line-up changing.
conclusion: STOP HATING ON MATT, HE'S DOING GREAT, THE BAND IS DOING GREAT, NEW ALBUMS ARE GREAT. Adam is irreplaceable but Matt has a lot of potential! I love both versions of the band, that's what a true fan should be like.

As I said, old 3DG with Adam remains the best, it's irreplaceable, but that doesn't mean that with Matt here we must become piece of shit haters calling names here and there. As for most of the bands, every band has its best songs, and for 3DG were the ones with Adam, the old 3DG. Matt joined because he is the brother of TDG’s bassist and when Adam left just before a tour, the bassist asked Matt to join, otherwise they wouldn’t lost hundreds of dollars(I think that’s what happened, that’s what I was told and I wasn’t all that amped to look it up) I’m glad Matt stayed on though. I like both Adam’s and Matt’s voice. I think TDG is doing great.

I've listened to your group's music since I was a Sophomore in High school (30 now and still listening to it!). Yeah, you lost Adam, but he was just a voice, not the music.
Neil, your beats on the drum set is my favorite feeling, you know how to keep a good heavy 'thumping' (hitting it hard with feeling), but change it up to match with the rest. Barry, you know how to match up with Brad and Neil. Your guitar notes hang out in the back of a lot of songs, but DAMN it provides a good back drop, and then you utilize it as a filler, like a hand holding all the other sounds up. Brad, your sounds seem to be the focus of Three Days Grace. To me your notes are the focus, a heavy low sound with a few quick changes in between to tie it all in! Matt, what is there to say about you? You are Brad's bro, and you have a band of your own however, you do have the same feeling as Adam did when he was the voice, not a sharp piercing cry, but honestly it's as if you actually 'get' the lyrics, feel them anyways. Maybe that's just because of being in a band, or because you know how to throw your voice to match, of course it could be a result of your brother telling you how to make the words sound. Regardless....
I applaud you Three Days Grace! You've always been one of my most favorite bands, along with Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, oddly Owl City (Adam Young), and Seether.
