Frank, believe it or not in all the bands I have ever played in over the years I can only recall ever playing 2 Chicago songs. 25 or 6 to 4 and Beginnings. Amazing right? The bass line on this tune is so up front and present which is unusual for back in the AM radio days. Nice work as usual Frank. Enjoyed it. Thanks for always sharing interesting and memorable songs from our past.
Well, those 2 you mentioned are elite classics and certainly unquestionably deserving of being in your set list. I wanted to do a Chicago song and was very happy on this one came out.... thank you so much!
Only recently started paying attention to the basslines in Chicago's songs. Thats after decades of listening to my Dads lp collection, including Chicago. So tasteful. Would it be a fair guess to say a lot of their songs were written on bass? It seems to structural to the songs
You can never do enough Cetera Chicago covers. He really was an amazing bass player. Very underrated.
Agreed 1000% - it's just not fair to be so technically brilliant AND have that voice...
I love Cetera’s voice 💕🎸😂

Great song with a powerful Bass Line building the structure🎈
Hi Annamarie - yes, I had it mind to do one by them... thank you for the kind words once again!
I saw them in 1976 my first concert 🎶
Great memory; fantastic 1st concert; you obviously saw Terry Kath
Yes I did and that experience is still with me to this day.
Another great cover mate 👍🏻😎🎸 my fiancé loves Chicago and I can’t wait to put this song into my jamming and she hears it 👍🏻🫶🏻😎🎸
hi Mat - as usual, I am so sincerely appreciative and hope your fiance enjoys the tune when you play it for her as well!
Love it 🎶❤
much thanks as always thank you

Peter Cetera was such an accomplished bassist - could hold his own in any jazz setting..
