Slimes are fairly pitiful on their own, but fortunately, their HP doubles when in similar slimey company! As well, if you have a specific trio... ULTRUS appears! The ULTRA slime!
(I put them through Rank C to showcase their abilities.)
Don't you just hate it when you're in the final round of a match, and they decide not to form ultrus.

ultrus was my favorite. I kept trying to get him to win Rank s and though it took several tries he did.
@iiEpicLegend I just use a standard definition capture device; these are actually 640x480 videos, originally. I use a good and fast compression algorithm to balance out the quality and speed of the capture, too.
Why's it HD, then? Well... I upscaled it to 960x720. NORMALLY, this is a bad idea. However, RUclips allocates higher bitrates to videos that are 720 pixels wide. So much more, that 480p videos look better when upscaled and submitted, rather than submitted as is.
It's silly, but works.

Wow, so similar monsters can call in a team for help. That’s nice to know. I already beat this to rank S and got Morrie as a playable character anyways but it’s still cool to know. I have the 3DS version by the way.

Ultrus IS the most OP monster in the game. Mazin it's the only monster that would even have a chance at killing it before it could heal itself. And that's only if it gets an extremely lucky roll on it's critical. And THAT'S only if Mazin gets to use the players version of a critical hit.
Darrell Murray Oh wow, I forgot about this guy. I forwarded it a bit and thought *I* was the one fighting Ultrus! I was trying to figure out how I would beat it! (Good thing they're on my side!)

yea but I tried wining S with the slimes and lost a lot lol mazin wins more and outside some other monster team mixes
Ultrus would win, he can heal and has 2 turns compared to mazin, who has 1.
what are u talking about outside battle u can get a max 3-4 turns if u are only getting 1-2 u haven't got very far in the monster arena
I meant he can ATTACK twice per turn, while mazin can't
ah got ya sorry about that lol but like I said long ago I tried the slime in S rank battles and they would die before they could combine
this dragon quest is for PSP or DS orPS2 or wat?
durutad I hear the music. It ya an echo to it. So it sounds like PS2. There is DQ8 for 3DS... I’m not sure about the PSP though. The 3DS one is superior because of its extra data, quality of life updates, and post game content. The PS2 one is only superior in its symphonies as it’s the full quality of music.
The names of monsters are so different between the GBC games and the main games... I'm so curious I want to buy a copy >//

A lot are really cool though! I'm not sure if it retains it's name in the other series, but in dragon warrior monsters, Coatol (The red dragon obtained by breeding two wing slime) is pretty awesome sounding personally ^-^
CripChillinz Ah that sucks... Well I guess I'm glad I only play the first two... even so, I'm so jelous that japan was the only place to get the two remakes. Terry's Wonderland or something.. and then dragon monster warrior 1+2... This is kingdom hearts 1 & 2 final mixes all over again!

u cant change the name of the monsters, the game developers gave the name slime shady to that slime, they like eminem, they are cool XD

If you own a 3DS, you can get this game for it, and it has even more stuff added to it.
Also (another 5 years later comment) the PS2 version plays great on PC emulator if you can't find a physical copy/console
