This is absolutely magical. Randy was given a gift from the angels and so they claimed him back. He had the magic touch. Actually all the members did. This is their song.
I am so thankful to have the internet. I would have never known about these rare Randy gems if it weren't for youtube. It's like someone found an old stash of recordings in an attic or something. Seriously awesome...it makes me miss Randy even more.
What a killer riff...I'm sending an MP3 of this to my local radio station MMR Philadelphia for them to play it. Sure, there's a lot of people who love Randy Rhoads, but how many would know this is him??!?
I can't even begin to imagine what Randy would have recorded/written had he survived. Granted, Ozzy lasted all these years, but what would his career had been like had Randy been there the whole time?
I think abt that all the time, I feel like Randy would have actually left the band like he wanted too. And finish his collage career, and form another band of his own, or possible end up back with Quiet Riot🤷
@sparky7718 Or maybe Randy just wrote the lyrics himself? Generally speaking, the singer writes most the lyrics for the band, but it isn't a rare for another bandmate to contribute to the lyrics. Kevin Dubrow said that Randy wrote the chorus lyrics to "Killer Girls," and Kevin wrote the verse, for example. I'm sure that Kevin and Randy wrote most the lyrics as a team.
@MetalHeart8787 It was standard in the late 70's and through out the 80's to have an album cover like this. At least they weren't standing out in some random leaf covered trail.
@MetalHeart8787 Thats Funny,Quiet Riot hanging in a Locker Room !!I heard that it was supposed to coney their TeamSpirit! If you see the back cover there are playing cards of each band member,Tacky Esp. since Rudy is on the Cover & didnt play on it & a line up change really isnt team spirit .Their Managment wanted to Market them as a More Street Bay City Rollers
Forget wiki..... on the actual vinyl album itself, on the round label, under this song it says only Randy Rhoads. The rest of the songs are labeled as Dubrow/Rhoads etc. Of course it is Kevin singing.... It seems that on this one song Randy got full writing credit, for whatever reason. Maybe Randy's family, Kelli G. or Drew F. know who wrote the lyrics.
@unholypally Kevin is Singing on it,on Wiki, That is reffering to Songwriting credits. On this song Randy is creditited Soley, thats Mainly reffering to the Lyrics, but I recall reading somewhere that Kev Taded Randy Ful Credit on this for credit (I believe) On Slick black.I think on Metal Health its just Kevin,I'll have to Check. I like the intro riff (Sounds like the begining of the solo on Sato Kevin was always discrediting Ozzy saying Virtually every song was a QR Riff, its not that Easy

How can a talented guy like Randy die in a mini-plane crash? It isn't fair!
Yep... Same thing with Ritchie Valens.
when it comes to an idiot pilot, nothing's fair
