Been searching for some after market tail lights for a while, almost went down the rabbit hole to do the JDM wiring swap so I’m glad someone finally made a plug and play solution!

So I ordered these for my 2006 GX470 and the right side doesn’t seem to want to seat properly on the two anchors. I’ve followed your instructions to install them and the left side is just fine however the right side continues to pop off the anchors. It’ll sound like the two hooks catch just fine. Then I’ll go to install the 10mm screws and the unit will inevitably pop off the anchors. Did you ever face this challenge on your set?

Right on, they are for sure available now and I agree, they look so good. I’ve gotten plenty of positive comments from even non car-guy friends. Make sure to use the code (LORA470), and you can also add optional reverse light bulbs to your order that are super bright, I’ll do a video on those soon.

More info than you asked for lol: The first (1) one is just the tail lights as they are with incandescent bulbs for the reverse/signal slots. The second (2) one is replacing the amber incandescent turn signal bulbs with the amber LED turn signal bulb upgrade only. The last one (3) is what you see in the video where the bottom reverse light slit is activated using LED Amber bulbs in both slots for the turn signal.

Those look fantastic! I wonder why they designed them to have such an heavy turn signal light and the brake lights are covered not nearly as bright. Nighttime, look fine, daylight I am not so sure they are bright enough maybe it's the video. I might have to put brighter LED's on the gate brake light to compensate.
It’s the video. The turn signals are super bright but so are the brake lights. They did a good job with these. In the future I think I’ll remove the lower turn signal bulb and wire in a White LED reverse bulb like they do it from the factory on the Prado 120s
@@lexus_offroad_adventures so you will use the reverse lights on the new mod rather than on the gate b/c you have them blocked with the spare? I put LED's in the gate and they are so bright it is crazy!
@@PittiesAndMore I did before I installed these taillights! And funny enough, the LED taillights solved that issue. I think when the computer senses a difference in resistance in the circuit (I put LED turn signals in my headlights with incandescents still on the rear) it thinks one of them are out. Having all LEDs seems to solve the issue.
@@Elite_Employee sorry for the late response, I missed this. The ones I have are the highest priced option. The lower spec ones come with halogen turn signals. I don’t have any experience with these ones so can’t recommend them

No I didn’t have that issue on either side. If you hold it in place while you tighten the bolts does it stay in?

Kinda pricy for the LED if I select option 3. What size LED bulb is it? Might be cheaper to buy the LED from amazon

For the fronts I just have the DEPO Sport style from EBay for now. They work great I put them on both of my GXs.

@@AZRubicon1 yes exactly, the spare now covers the backup lights on the stock location so I figure moving them out to the taillights is the best move

There is no inspection in California where I live. Yes they are street legal where I live, I’d check local laws for your particular situation.
