    The biggest issue with cyborg being a founding member of the Justice League is it removes his personality. Part of the main thing about cyborg is that he has a lot of personality and he's supposed to really love life and be loud. Anytime he's a Justice League member he's usually just dark and brooding just like everyone else.

    I love Cyborg because he’s such a great big brother character. If he’s a founding member of the Justice League he’s straying away from that.
    I agree. He can be a great Justice League-er but he’s not a founder. He needs to forge his own path first.

    Making him the last human standing and having him decide to leave the planet or die with it could be an amazing Elseworld story. Maybe you could work with the feeling of nostalgia while he literally "replays" his memories as flashbacks, and come into the decision to not die with the planet, but to maintain it and let life flourish again on his watch, now not struggling to know if he's man or machine, but knowing he's a god (Deus Ex Machina) who chooses to be human still. He definitely could do it, since he merged with Technis (a planet-size technological hivemind), and you could even fit in your Plastic-Planet idea you had in the Plastic Man video
    Also, his tech could start as being made by Silas, and during his time with the Titans it keeps evolving, until there's a New Gods centered crisis where he ends up merging with a Mother Box. Then, his powers could skyrocket enough for him to go to the League, until he decides to come back to the Titans as the mentor figure he was during the Geoff Johns' run

      YES to everything you just said. I literally thought about this months ago.

  • @UniverseChronology

    I don't like the mother box origin, it turns his more tech based powers into essentially magic and it really doesn't add anything to his character besides making him more powerful or tying him into the Darkseid, the latter only really being important when he's a Justice League member. I think a better idea would be to have him constantly upgrading himself, he starts with the bio-prosthetics that cause him to struggle with the loss of his humanity and after his time with the Titans is able to accept what has happened to him and try to improve upon his cybernetic body which can eventually lead into him incorporating a Mother Box into his cybernetics when he joins the Justice League with some of his friends.

    • @VAB4466
      @VAB4466 Месяц назад +8

      I agree. When he's got mother box stuff he's so insanely op and almost alien. I think his origin should be 100% earth based tech

      I really didn't enjoy his design in Justice League as much. I've always liked the more robotic look. In the movie he looks more like an alien. I had the same problem with Iron Man's nanotech suit, it sort of undermines the segmentation and plate look of his armor.

    One hot take I have is that Cyborg’s only good design is his Teen Titans ‘03 design, at least in outside media from the comics (The Comics definitely have a design issue with him imo, but I haven’t seen every single Cyborg design). I think all that Blue just makes him pop out and stand out more, rather than just being half gray and slight blots of red circles. The clearer design of the Blue transparent “glass” conveys that he is broken, more than him just being “covered” by the metal. So many of his designs also make him too lean, when he should be a buffer looking character, no pun intended. He was a Quarterback and should already be a beefy dude.

  • @webslinger4733
    @webslinger4733 Месяц назад +7

    I think Cyborg joining the JL is fine, but the way DC did it was not. I think there should be a comic where he actually is asked to join by the Trinity, instead of just being there from the start like what the New52 did.
    People have no problem with Wally West or Roy Harper joining the League and they’re FOUNDING MEMBERS of the Titans. Cyborg shouldn’t just be limited to the Titans either.

    • @abiodunsulaiman2297
      @abiodunsulaiman2297 Месяц назад

      Cyborg actually joined the justice league one year before the N52 reboot when it was led by dickbats and Donna troy.

    • @UniverseChronology
      @UniverseChronology Месяц назад +2

      I don't think most people have a problem with Cyborg as a member of the Justice League, they just have a problem with him being a founding member of the League as it basically removed all of his history with the Titans. The New 52 just did the Teen Titans so dirty in general, this is just one of the many problems.

    @buildaggedonarmanaziie4462 Месяц назад +3

    I'll be honest, Cyborg is cool, I do like him, but he is by no means my favorite. I would actually like for them to kill off Cyborg permanently to give drama and actual consequences in the world of DC, and it would actually be a great loss for everyone, not only from losing a friend, but also from losing a valuable asset because Cyborg does a lot, he hacks in everything, even Apokolips and New Genesis technology and Motherboxes, he makes Boom Tubes, he creates and analyzes a bunch of things like suits and contingency plans and gadgets for other heroes and villains, and other things, so Cyborg is very powerful and important and useful and versatile that would make losing him a great pushback for the heroes, at least for a while because with characters like Raven who can make portals and do crazy things like that.
    Imagine this plot: In Beast World it established that Cyborg is missing half of his brain, so the build upon that where a villain infects Cyborg with Motherbox or Fatherbox or something like that which will progress his technological transformation to where he is fully a machine or most of his brain is converted to where he doesn't have any emotion anymore and he then progresses his conversion. Then he will be a fully robotic being and it will be a story where "The man died, and only the machine is left." So it is a thing where he dies, but not really, because he is still physically there, but Victor Stone is completely gone, replaced with the machines and all of that. The the machine goes on those A.I. eradication of life where the machine that used to be Cyborg thinks about life and things like that and he comes to the conclusion that every creator make their creations perfect and better than them, so God created mankind, so mankind is better than God, and mankind created robots and things like him, and so he is better than mankind and therefore better than God, just that kind of way of thinking. And he believes that he should irradiated all life. Then this machine captures and uses City Boy and his powers to set up a bunch factories everywhere around the world, hundreds of them and more and more constantly being developed with City Boy's powers and the factories make robots for a robot army that he develops, and he not only had those factories, but he also has underground factories and even if a factory or a number of factories get taken out he can just rebuild it instantly with City Boy's powers so that it isbjust like nothing happened and, again, there are more factories always being made. As for the robots that he builds, they are not dead weight or fodder, this machine actually hacks into all of the important things like the Batcave, the federal governments around the world, especially with Waller's servers and places like that, and the bases and operating places of the heroes like Titans Tower and the WatchTower and other places like that and Lex Corp and S.T.A.R. Labs, and the machine just gets a ton of information from those things, data on the heroes and villains, and everyone's strengths and weaknesses, contingency plans on how to defeat them, locations of things, data on weapons and other things, just a whole bunch of data on everything and everyone, and it uses this data to aquire resources like Nth Metal and other things to create the robots, because with all of that data he inputs this stuff into the robots where the robots are not just robots that Superman can casually go through, they are specifically designed to take on everyone with built in contingencies and weakness of the heroes and villains, like sonics, emitting red sun Nth Metal incorporated into their designs to be anti-magic and the ability to travel places like underwater and in space and other dimensions and universes and incorporating lex suits in there and things like that. Then you have the machine analyzing and taking and countering lantern rings and the time travel sphere from the Legion of Super Heroes, and the Phanthom Zone Projector, where he and his army can time travel and come in and out of the Phanthom Zone if anyone sends them there and he goes around time and space to other universes and doing crazy things like that irradicating other universes and taking resources and bolstering his forces with other advanced and dangerous technology and things like that. So it is not only a threat to Earth, it is a threat to all of existence where he is attaching other planets and other universes and other realms and just everywhere even Apokolips and New Genesis and it is on some X-Men Days of Future's Past type of stuff where the heroes and villains and people are all being overwhelmed and defeated by this machine and it's forces and it is just some end times thing. Even if the heroes win they loose Cyborg, Cyborg would be gone for all intensive purposes because he was replaced with the machine from converting him and taking him over, and so they lose Cyborg and an asset because he can't make Boom Tubes and hack and analyze things anymore so they loose a very value asset and that would really affect the heroes.
    Tell me what you all think.

      @Yeahmydude10 Месяц назад

      Yeah i think honestly the only problem i have here is that cyborgs whole death seems to silent and doesn't seem like its impactful enough for such a major member of the TT. I feel like if you want a good death for anyone that big is to make it feel major or like a big event and then have someone like lex or darksied use his body in order to create something and then have the bits of his spirit take over bits of his new robotic form creating grid

    • @UniverseChronology

      Were you writer for DC during the mid to late 2000s? Because this is really starting to sound like that. (DC had a tendency to just do horrible things to their characters in that time period for the sake of drama or to kill of characters and literally no one liked it)
      Jokes aside, I think just killing characters for the sake of drama or just to have characters die is just lazy writing. But if you're going to kill off characters, can it not be a Titan? I swear, whenever DC needs a character to die they always look at the Titans, give these a break, geez.

      Doom patrol was peak but I still don't get why they added cyborg to the team and not beast boy.

    • @UniverseChronology
      @UniverseChronology Месяц назад +2

      @@abiodunsulaiman2297 If I remember correctly, Doom Patrol was supposed to take place in the same universe as Titans, so Beast Boy not being included in the show was because, at the same time, he was a member of the Titans. After it became its own separate universe, I guess they decided since there was already a Beast Boy on one live action DC Universe show they didn't want to cast another Beast Boy for Doom Patrol as I imagine they'd have to do as I doubt Beast Boy's actor in titans likely wouldn't be able to do both shows at the same exact time. I guess they still wanted a popular Titans character in the Doom Patrol so they picked Cyborg who, while I probably wouldn't have put him on that team, still fits very well.
      The Doom Patrol is a team of misfits whose powers or physical appearances cause them to be alienated by the rest of the world. Overtime, the team becomes a family and starts to accept themselves for who they are and not what they were or what they perceive as normal. That is basically Cyborg's story, someone who lost his humanity after an accident that leads to him being alienated by society only to be accepted by a group featuring other misfits who become a close family as Cyborg learns to accept himself for who he is now instead of dwelling on the past. He fits flawlessly.
