super cool stefano is sharing this project a lot of climbers want to have a first ascent and they don’t share the climb until there done with it. shows he is a good person
I kept distorting my face into more and more disgusted grimaces as he kept going towards the top. Most of these...things I would not have identified as "holds".
As a climber that likes short powerful routes, the excalibur is definetely my favourite of the hard lines, its just so special - a free standing rock which seems easy enough to conquer, but from one side, you get a 12 metre 25 degree moonboard problem on the yellow crimpers all the way up. Something magical about how slick and straight that face is.
AU is the country shortcut for Australia by the way. Innsbruck is the capital of Tyrol in AUSTRIA (AT) - the one without the kangaroos but with lots of mountains...
It would have made narrative sense to tell how Stefano for 2021 was aiming for the Olympics, but despite not being able to enter, he was not discouraged and indeed achieved all these other successes!
glad to see The North Face posting an actual climbing video for a change. And here I thought you weren't in the business of your constituents anymore. :D
No, there's a video on Stefano's YT channel I think where he explains the history of it. It was a couple of local guys, boulderers from memory, who soon realised it was too hard for them and called in SG who they already knew.
Anyone who loves climbing MUST SEE a movie called "The Alpinist" !!! One year later and I still cannot believe the things I saw done in the movie. A MUST WATCH
I don't think so, no. There are only a handful of people who have climbed 9b+ at all, and most of them don't have as big a ticklist in that 9b and up range. I think Megos is kind of close, but 3rd on that list. Followed by Schubert/Bouin/Sharma, probably.
Tbh, I feel that this was a commercial. Tell me a story, don't try so hard to get statements of how great he is. Stephano has better ways to tell his story. Cinematography is great though.
Spring 2023, thats what I call a futuristic climb
hahaha, I was just thinking the same thing!
Yea amazing 🤩
That's what Ondra thought in 2012. It took him another 5 years to climb Silence!

I like that Ondra and Schubert got together with him to try it. Like the Avengers or something.
Amazing showcase of Stephano. I especially loved the shots of lonely mountain with closeup camera to all the holds!

I think compared to this yellow holds on the moonboard are literally jugs
@@lucaa4480 Nah I think they are about that size, but the rotation is way too bad. Many sidepulls and underclings.
Oh good its an open project now I can try a 9c.
Now there is nothing in your way.
You can do it Kian. Social pressure fron RUclips will make you strong
Not if I get it first!
This was such a good film. Everything from the narrative, to cinematography to the music. Just 👏
Best looking climbing camera work to date! Those close ups are wild!
Wow I had no idea of the surroundings of Excalibur and how it's so solitary of a crag, makes it even cooler to me.
Seb Bouin, there is a new challenge for you i think. So excited to see all of the bests climbers around the world trying the same extremely hard route
This is sick, I love the lonely mountain section!
Truly shows you guys put effort into this! Awesome vid
Big fan of Stefano so I’m so happy to see he’s getting some very well deserved camera time!
Does anyone know the music at 10:20 roughly? Wasn’t able to find out, Shazam doesn’t know or gives me wrong matches.
Bringing House Music to climbing, perfect combo 😍😍😍 7:33
Any idea what tune it is? Sounds a bit like Stephan Bodzin?
music at 3:28? PLEEEEASE
I'm a big fan of the north face the best of all time always
Yeah music list please
9:22, He lives in future, not like any other climber. That’s the secret :)
Stefano makes Italians feel free to be proud

Love his comment at the very end 10:30

Music at 10:43, anyone?
Is Excalibur project at the same crag as Pungitopo?
Thanks....Peace
Did Stefano bolt Excalibur?

Awesome 👍🙏
Awesome video!
I would like to know what jacket Stefano is wearing in the beginning clip on Excalibur Project. Thank you.
Summit l2 proprius grid fleece hoodie
THANKS! I totally didn't think I was get a response. I appreciate it @@PippeBR
@@PippeBR - Actually, I don't think so. The cuff is different on the sleeves. The Summit L2 has a break at the elastic cuff area. This one does not.
P.S anyone know who the music was by?
Alex Arcoleo - Endorphin
@@Venaticorum thanks!
Awesome

The world's first quantum climber
Has anyone other than Adam climbed more hard stuff than Stefano?
