    I hope it's ok to make a suggestion. When I make puff puff (kind of the same dessert) I cut the bottom of the bottle. It makes it easier to fill. Do this with the top on. Tape the hole in the top until you are ready to drop it in the oil.

      This isn't puff-puff because he added cornflour and baking powder. For puff-puff, you only need yeast.

      @@Prettylittlehumannnnn its puff puff. Adding baking soda doesnt change it. You could add pepper or curry if you wanted a flavour. I add nutmeg. Doesnt stop it from being puff puff.

      @@isaacdanielajayi7738 this isn't how we make puff-puff in Nigeria please. Only yeast is needed for a Nigerian puff-puff. Adding baking powder or soda turns it to another snack not puff-puff. Thanks

      @@Prettylittlehumannnnn you are right! Just like Jollof is not pilau. What makes it puff puff is mostly the ingredients. What makes pilau is the ingredient used.

    ghaimat is sweet ball fried and drenched in lemon sugar syrup after frying to absorb sugar syrup and it is deliscious i used to make in a saudi cafe last year

    Maybe you could just use a piping bag with a big round tip or just cut the edge of the piping bag if you don't have the tip to achieve the round shape.. less hassle putting it in a bottle with small opening

    It's amazing how this simple yet delicious dish is found in many different cultures around the world. It's very popular among Muslims and swahilis in Kenya where it's called kaimati. There is this sugar coated option or the ones made with sugar and/or banana in them. Sudanese also make this but coated with icing sugar. They call it la'gaimat (probably spelled it wrong but that's how it's pronounced).

    This recipe is golden, I tweaked it a little bit. By adding a extra tablespoon of sugar, (brown) to add to the taste cause I used cornstarch instead of corn flour. I also added some apricot jam, nutmeg/ cinnamon and a squeeze of orange juice to the mix. It’s delish 😋 thanks 🙏🏽

    Here's a helpful hint next time cut of the bottom of the bottle save and extra cap put that on well you fill the bottle from the bottom saves so much time

      I don't think it'll work that way, after cutting the bottom open you cannot sqeeze the dough out of the bottle any more. Or you can of course, but it'll burst out of the cut bottom in a big lump, instead of the small hole in the cap. But a ziplock bag might work here, if it's not too big for sqeezing or holding it in your hands. Or you could use a ziplock bag to sqeeze the dough inside the bottle a bit easier... 🤔

    Thank you for the recipe, I've made these sweet balls many times, I've never cooked them twice but I will next time to give them that extra crunch. I'll use a plastic bag and just cut the corner out to squeeze the dough out.

    We call them “loukoumades” in Greece. We use a wet spoon and our hands to shape the dough. After it is fried we drizzle them with Nutella or honey and cinnamon or dip them in syrup.

    Your idea using bottle is excellent! However, I suggest to cut a big hole at the bottle for easier putting in the batter.

      Maybe use a piping bag with a wide round nozzle
