I saw an enquirer or one of those magazines where he was getting a divorce and his wife and son had moved to the coast. It also said their house was up for sale in Florida and it showed the address. I googled the zip and just wrote a handwritten note wishing him the best and said if he ever needed to talk somebody to call me. I put my number on it. I can honestly say I never expected to hear from him. To my surprise, about 2 weeks later, I got a call from an unlisted number I answered . He didn't have to say three words before I realized it was him and I was speechless. I recognize his voice immediately. He said you sent me a note, and I was like David Cassidy? We talked for about 20 minutes. That is something I will always treasure. ❤️
LORD he was gorgeous!!!! When I was a young teen, his posters covered my bedroom walls. I got to see him live three times!! RIP David. I sure miss you.

Daisy Cassidy - yes, indeed he is (plus he was our generations Elvis Presley I saw him three times perform live oh so so good David Cassidy was Keith Partridge! Sensational he was also an 80’s Heartthrob as well.) the Man was incredible
Truly awesome interview, bold, open, no holds barred. I just loved the interaction between David, Danny and the audience. Wow, how I wish I could have been there!
That was really phenomenal, cause I was a fan of Jack Cassidy also, and when I was a kid in the 70s, Jack was on Columbo, quite often, David and Shirley were on the Partridge Family, and you couldn't get a cooler family, never knowing how troubled Jack was, and how troubled David would become, 2 tragedies
Wow!!! Never saw this before. What a fantastic rendition of Cherish. Remarkable talent. Sad loss of a very, genuinely, nice guy. He was so open and honest.
He looked incredible at 41 .... and at 67 he looked (and sounded) about 10 years older than he actually was. He had some rough times ahead of him here :(
I love this interview. David looks and sounds great. And when they showed Beau as a baby! OMG! Too cute! And what a handsome young man he is now! I miss David so much. He's been gone for a year and a half now, but it still seems unreal to me that he passed away. (Tomorrow will be exactly a year and a half.) David, those of us who love you are heartbroken over your death. We will love you and miss you forever. Rest in peace.
David, and a number of other artists in the '70s, inspired my own career as a cocktail pianist/performer/songwriter. As a musician, when i hear David's songs (Wow, Wes Farrell! Dynamite songwriter!) throughout all these years, and i still marvel at not only his voice, but also the top-notch compositions and arrangements. Just listening to him sing "Cherish", one of my favorite songs of all time, and the new and unimproved arrangement for his live performance of it is absolutely awful! Ahhh...but i still can hear his first cover of that great tune here on RUclips, thankfully. In the meantime, David looks great, looks relaxed, and i sure do miss his presence in this lonely world. The sun is not as bright.

Love the rapport he had with Danny, and Dave Madden was still being a funny guy! It was lovely to watch David, just sitting there, being so natural, answering the questions he was asked, and being very honest in his replies. It was 45 minutes of pure joy, watching this beautiful man, speaking and singing, loved when he sang to Beau, you could see the tears in his eyes. But have to say, what I found confusing is that at 39.54 they showed a family picture of David & his brothers, with David's hair shorter, and pushed back, but David didn't, wear it that way until a good few years after that show was made,so did they have a time machine on the show?! Nevertheless,a fantastic video, thanks to whoever made it.
The picture at 37:53 looks like David was 40. That's when he first got his cut short. Up to that point he still wore it in a feather. On the Show here with Geraldo, his hair has grown a bit as he is 41. Sorry no time machine yet. At least feathered hair is making a comeback! 😁✌❤

I adored this man when I was a young girl. I was even lucky enough to see him at The CNE in Toronto when I was about 8 years old!! I know this will not be a popular comment, but during the time of this interview, I don't believe David was "authentic." I had the opportunity to meet him in 1990 when he was in Toronto promoting a new album. I was "geeky," and he was not the kindest to me as I did not look like a model :(. I just think he wanted to change his image, turning on the swagger. He was too focussed on his persona, and I think it was born out of extreme insecurity. I would also like to that the songs written for The Partridge Family, were actually beautifully crafted songs, and David's voice was like silk!!!

Love the family Genetics. Has his daddy Jack Cassidy's smile, voice, & alcoholism. Was sad 2 hear his dad passed out drunk with a cigarette & burned in the fire. His songs always brings a smile 2 my face. Never doubt It David "I think I love" 🌷
Amazing talent and looks....watching in july 2024....he had it all, only he was held back by being known for the Keith character, when he wanted to leave that behind, and be himself. So devastating that he became alcoholic and never seemed completely happy with his life. You are still badly missed, David Cassidy. ❤
As annoying as Danny is sometimes .. at least he’s honest and upfront ..David and Danny had a great friendship.. very sad how David’s life was cut short.. but I think he sadly followed in his fathers footsteps..💔
Geraldo was such a jerk, even back before FOX. Asking David if he chose small venues on purpose, asking Danny if his wife was a groupie - to name 2 obnoxious questions. I would love to know what these two really thought of him. I get the impression they thought he was a a-hole.
Yup, I'm sure. You know Geraldo had these 2 on as guests only because he knew they guaranteed him great ratings. He tried to get under their skin (as usual,) but it didn't work. God bless these guys.

this was wonderful......
Still at 41he still looked gorgeous.I still love love David ,
Love the family Genetics. Has his daddy Jack Cassidy's smile, voice, & alcoholism. Was sad 2 hear his dad passed out drunk with a cigarette & burned in the fire. His songs always brings a smile 2 my face. Never doubt It David "I think I love" 🌷
I wonder if he did sign her poster!!
The third anniversary of his death. Still difficult to take in.
Lovely show❤️
Jack was a egotistical, self centered, mean, jealous drunk.......
I don't think he was ever really happy or satisfied with life 😢
Geraldo was such a jerk, even back before FOX.
Definitely had the IT Factor!
GREAT COMMENTS.....HE WAS WONDERFUL AND DANNY ALSO.........
so beautiful, so honest! Very nice to watch.
He was so adorable. So sad he had so many issues later on. I'm sure growing up in a show business family was pressure along with being on TV. RIP David. We will always love you.
