I can't find the sticker paper and printer in your Amazon shop list anymore. I love how they came out, so I'd really like to know. Could you re-add them, please?
In MS Word, if you click on a shape or image you'll se a new tab/menu appearing on the upper right of the screen called "Shape Format" or "Picture Format", go to it and one of the last items are "Size", then you can type in the precise dimensions you want it to be printed out.
I love it. I named my town Monica, after my late mother, who passed away 9 years ago. I thought of using my Dymo printer hooked up to my computer to make the big sign saying, Welcome to Monica Population xxxx depending on how many Lego people I had. Since I live in Canada, I wanted to make them like the Provincial signs. I will try out this program. I don't have a colour laser printer though. I do have a Canon inkjet printer and a regular black toner laser printer.
Thanks. I use Affinity Designer, a cheaper alternative to AI. I think the ultimate for sticker printing is to print on vinyl, then add a clear laminate sheet and finally cut out with something like a Brother SDX 1200 a scanner / cutter. This allows complex shapes to be precisely cut out rather than struggling with scissors.
First not all, this is one of the best Lego channels out there for all diy city and moc building! Secondly, could you update the Amazon page since I don't see anything related to this video on there anymore?
I really love this but I could not do this so I did another one but your one is better because my one is a little dirty and have to search on google for it. The other part is that it needs a size that is a square not rectangle.
Is it not necessary to seal the stickers afterwards to prevent scratching/smudging? I'm going to have my local print store do this once I bring them my design and some printer paper.
There are special machines for that. They can cut into the first layer of the sheet so that it won't stick to the rest. They are expensive as shit, but allow you to do some really precise and consistent movements
Great video, just what i was looking for, I use the affinity suite, non subscription based and direct replacements for ai = designer , photoshop = photo, indesign = publisher, all have free trials and are extremely reasonably priced, no affilliation just been using them for years 🙂
Excellent video. How have you been able to get the color of your stickers to match the color of your legos? I am using the official hex code for the legos when they print, the colors aren't very close and don't look good. Thanks for any help! Cheers!
A lot of trial and error unfortunately, and different for every printer, but you can download the bricklink color guide and print it to see how close it is for you, then make adjustments off of that
Can't I just use GIMP? Also I believe you can print white by reducing the RGB value. 255, 255, 255 being full white resulting in transparency, you can try using something like 250, 250, 250 so the printer sees it as a very light shade of grey. (I could be wrong tho)
Wouldn't work sadly as its using the paper colour to create the grey colour and in this case the paper colour is transparent so wouldn't appear as grey unless there was a white brick behind it.

Would it not be better to make the stickers in an image editing software like Photoshop, gimp or paintdotnet
There is no printer and other things in the amazon link

I second this comment. Thanks in advance!

I had to zoom in on his Adobe print page. Not sure on the sticker paper

Good tip, thanks!
Although you should never use a wordprocessor for design work. If illustrator is too expensive, there are free alternatives.
@@crockerfella which are?
@@explozen2719 gimp should do the trick, though it's more photoshop than illustrator

I always hold a paper infront of the screen to match the size of the paper I want to print on.

@afoltv Can you let us know what printer you use for your stickers please? Your amazon link doesn't show it anymore.
Wow! That was cool. Thanks for explaining how you made your signage for your Lego city. I will have to keep this in mind when I want to do the same.
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching! 😄
Would this method work for Lego figures, stickers, and decals, etc Thanks
do you Need a laser printer?
Great guide, will be doing this
Cool idea
Thanks!
@@AFOLTV do you know about the dangerous storm in Turkey I'm watching that
@@AFOLTV you are welcome 👍 sir
Please update the links to the sticker paper!
Hi!
Maybe you can create a custom sticker sheet, and sell it on your website?
You say you link your specific printer in the amazon link but in the amazon link there are 4 different printers. Which one do you actually use?
Thanks for the video! Needed this to make stickers for a fire station modular I’m working on. Using an inkjet printer, it’s not as crisp but it works.
Glad it helped!
This is the coolest thing ever!

I think this is great for the average AFOL, but I am wondering what kind of system people are producing sticker sheets on that is precut to the sheet?

Can be sitickers also printed with regular printer?
You need more views
Haha agreed!
Thank you for the tutorial !!
Is it okay to use inkjet printer instead of laser printer??
Thanks for watching! Not entirely sure, but I think laser works a lot better
You’re cool 🤩

How do the stickers work on darker color bricks? Like on black or brown bricks?
This is amazing! Nice tips

How do i print them for the firetruck
If you can't print white, can you print in a light grey? Or will that come out as translucent?
The white grey works for us, but it depends on the brick color behind it!
thanks
Thats A-fuckin-mazing!!! Great job!!!
@Olivier Brochu no i did it on purpose
