- Acrylic pouring torch.
For this test flip cup pour, I used 70% glue and 30% water as my pouring medium. I then used 50% of this pouring medium to 50% of my Global impasto paint. If you are using thicker paints like Liquitex Basics, you will need to use 1 1/2 parts PM to 1 part paint and if you are using thinner paints, you will need to add more paint to get your mix to the correct consistency.

Thank you so much for this demo, very informative.
Thank you so much Julie for this information. I have only been pouring for 2 months now & have been using the same large torch as you. I had been a bit worried it was too powerful, but seeing you use it has helped me to see I have used it too close at times. I will definately stick with this now....
Congratulations on hitting 62K followers! The content of your videos is always top quality - thank you.
Wow, I never would have thought that the torch could make that much of a difference. Now I know why my pours look so much like the one on the left! 😂 Thanks, Julie!
Thank you yet again for answering this question~! You have helped yet again. Looking forward to seeing the birds and the doggies too!
Perfect timing, ran out of butane for my little torch & wondered if the big guy would be different. Always looking forward to trying something new. Thanks for
Thank you very much for the comparison!
Love love these colors together. It is amazing how little changes in the thickness or thinness of the paints and which torch you use creates such unique designs! I would have loved to have seen you stretch these pours and how they would have changed when you were done. I’m enjoying watching, however! ~ katz b
Thanks for doing the testing Julie. I'm sure there is more "theory" behind the art of pouring than we all think.
Beautiful !! I love it !!
Nice little experiment. Like it. Thanks. 👍
Don't think one is any nicer than the other, just different.; both are pretty and interesting in their own way. All a matter of preference and opinion I guess.
So now we're all on Amazon, searching Big Boy torch!!!
If you are in Austrslia you'll find this exact torch at Bunnings otherwise check your local hardware store
Thanks for posting this... so helpful. :)
Thank you for this video! Its very informative! I have a question...when you were stirring your silicone in, you said to stir it in really good and the stirring doesn’t matter for your cells, but I have heard other artists say that if you stir it in alot it creates little cells and if you barely stir it, it creates bigger cells. I’d really like to know if you think there’s any truth to that, and if you think the amount of silicone you use matters. You get the best looking cells out of all the you tubers I watch, so I want to listen to your advice! Thanks again for this video! 😊
Thanks very interesting, had my wrist put back together yesterday have metal inside now still have wks to go thank for sharing , as soon as i can hold a cup in my bum hand i'll be pouring can't mix the paint right now
I use an embossing gun for stamping that was given to me and I like it. It seems to heat up the paint and oil and gives me cells. I work in a very small space in my home and am a bit leery of using a flame. I love how yours always turn out though and am working towards that kind of results.
Kim T I use a heat gun too.
I have one of each. Small one I have to refill often. I do get too much flame with the large one sometimes. Thanks, Julie!
I so wanted you to tilt, lol. Thanks for the experiment.
that was a very interesting video! thank you very much :D
You're welcome
thanks for that 👍😁
Can you do a video showing the difference between a heat gun and a blow torch please?
V helpful video for me
I'm definitely getting the big torch. I'll save the little one for creme brulee.
Thank you for this video. Can you please give the full name of the can blow torch. I can't seem to find Big Boy anywhere. Thanks for your time in making this video.
Thanks for this video! I use a similar torch but whenever I use it on acrylic pour somehow it sets on fire. It goes off after I remove the torch but I cannot figure out why it is happening. Would you know what I’m doing wrong?
thank you i need this what type of silicone spray?
The question of, how they compare in price for tool and cost of butane, seems relevant, since they both work with different results.
How much silicon oil do I use with acrylic pouring
Is the global white titanium white? Nothing is written on my global paint.
What’s the brand of the top that you use for the bigger torch? As well as the brand for the little torch?
Desde Argentina un 😘😘☺☺🤗
What is the name for both torches?
Can I ask what silicone you use not having any luck
No links ?
How do you have so clean cooling racks 🙈 mine is so messy. Perhaps you dry your painting somewhere else?
I don't know your name, but have you written any books? I stumbled upon your channel last week when I was bedridden.
There is a face inside a cell on the part with the big torch in the middle of the puddle haha
Karen Hill I see it too , it looks like the Simpson.. lol
Littles ones do make caterpillars 🐛
Well if you jam it down close to the paint
both look the same
Lora Astrofish i don’t think so 🤔
