2008 civic si FA5 owner here, I ripp the fuck out of those tires EVERYDAY for YEARS. (fluids, PCV, bearings, belts, filters, brakes) and youre fucking solid forever. Easy to own, gnarly all motor vehicle.
Im actually picking mine up tomorrow. Sold my 09 coupe and I miss it like crazy, took me 2 years but im getting an 09 sedan. Theyre so much fun. Love 8th gen Sis. Best Sis ever, youre totally right my man.

8th gens are def a lot of fun and you can drive them haaaaard without issues. I went from an FA5 to a 2020 FC1 and I love my 10th gen, its definitely less raw , but the chassis is also waaaaay better on the 10th

Nobody understands when I say that i keep the red 2008 civic si Fa5 for the weekend, and my audi a3 tsi sedan for daily drive...today I only talked about that with people who know cars

Own a 2010 Si sedan (FA5), in Dyno Blue Pearl. Only have an Injen SRI, 3-piece pulley kit from NST, and an e-tune/w Flashpro. Mine now redlines at 8,400rpm. LOVE MY CAR!!! ☺️😃👌

I owned a 2009 FA5 for about 10 years. It was an awesome car but after I got the Type R I never drove it so I sold it. I originally thought I would miss it, but I don't.

Have both the 8th and 9th gen and if I know I’m gonna be racing or going to the track I take the 8th gen but I daily the 9th gen and the extra torque is a god send and still having a kick of V-Tec is awesome. It’s not as strong of V-Tec as my 8th but the whole RPM range feels a little more powerful in the 9th gen.

Should switch to a 215 or 225 in the rear. Its cool to hear the 10th vs 8th debate, I have an 8th now but feel Id get bored of a 10th even if its faster.
I had a 10th gen Si coupe with a few things done to it. Pretty fun and quick but I did get tired of it. I'm looking for an 8th gen now.
I feel the same way right now. I have a 18’ civic sport touring hatch. The 1.5 turbo was amazing having owned slower NA cars. The turbo part is fun. I have it tuned to around 250 torque at 20 psi. But I’m kinda bored of it and want a 8th gen, plus it’s a little pricey for the 10th
why does the thumbnail say 8200 redline when even the factory is hire. you can easily set it a few hundred rpm higher with a tune on a stock set up
Can you give me a tip on the best route to get my wheels to poke past the fender? Even the smallest bit would be huge. I just don’t wanna scrape and I don’t wanna roll my fenders unless I have too I’m already sitting low af

Why you blurred the speed man?
I hate when people say the car isnt fast though.....like its pretty fucking fast man yeah sure its not 500 whp but for a sub 200 hp car it takes alot of more powerful cars on quite easily

That thing NEEEEDS a short throw shifter...
But there is somebody with a 10th gen running well over 750whp... i havent seen anybody run that on a k20z3, they have with the k20a2 but the k20 in the 8th gen is no match for the 10th gen especially since the fact that the 10th gen has 40 more lbs of torque and is making the same if not more power than the VTEC k20z3 motor, someone tried to run over 700whp on a k20z3 and they saw cracking on the bottom of the block

10th gen cost 18-25k , 8th gen is 8-10k , you put 3 grand into tb the 8th gen youre pushing 400+hp and doing it with FULL VTEC , I already gave a brand new 10th gen the sauce in my stock 8th gen lol COST TO POWER RATIO IS NONEXISTENT 😂

I have owned both generations. I had a 2009 SI and now I own a 2020 SI. And to be honest the 10th generation is better in every conceivable way. Of course you’re going to be able to build the eighth generation tomorrow horsepower that’s only because it’s an older car with more aftermarket support. The K-series motor has been in production for 22 years and the L 15 only five. It’s not an honest comparison.
