People make their choices based on perceived expectations. It’s completely ridiculous. Andy Reid, Campbell, and a couple of others should be getting it regularly, but instead it’s based on who people thought would stink and did okay. I’m sorry their expectations were off? The Vikings aren’t even well coached, except by their defensive coordinator. Their GM and DC do a great job, but offensively they’re bland and KOC couldn’t come up with a gameplan to beat his main division rival even one time. Chucking it to star offensive players is not an actual gameplan.

That turned out to be wrong... the Lions played well and beat the Vikings handily. Evryone keeps saying Darnold missed some throws to wide open receivers. What they fail to mention is he was under pressure and having to throw without being able to step into his throws or he was on the run. Detroit's defense was the reason not Minnesota's offense just being off.
and what you fail to mention is that is pretty standard for Darnold, and up until this game had pretty good numbers against pressure. Hes also been sacked over 40 times. Darnold was missing throws that hes made all year long, he just didnt have it that game. Detroits defense overperformed, but Minnesota's offense was indeed off.
I think the Lions getting that bye week is more important than home field. The Lions will play ANYONE ANYWHERE, but their only 2 losses were at home. You’re crazy if you didn’t think Darnold blew this game. He was absolutely horrible. He missed open receivers in the redzone multiple times and refused to throw it, panicked and sailed multiple big passes, had a clear rushing lane and just held the ball. The Vikings defense gave Darnold so many chances

Not to take anything away from the Lions', but if not for Darnold's awful performance, the Vikes could have put that game away in the first half. If memory serves, they had 4 trips to the red zone, with no touchdowns. And the only domination occurred in the 4th quarter, when the Vikes' defence had given up any hope of their offence doing anything.
