- If you've watched previous videos we have filmed with Carl you will know he has wanted a Pagani Huayra for sometime. He has a RHD example in stock at present so we met up with him to discuss what it would take to swap it for his Veyron!

I think the first hypercar was the LaF, 918, P1 in my opinion. Just making a fast car doesn't change the title for me, I think that should be reserved cars that bring a different element that could trickle down and change the dynamic of regular cars.
Decside I agree with those three being the first hypercars, not only because of their performance but also with all the new technology fitted into them

nope. Zonda finished with a 7.3L N/A AMG engine. Huayra has a 6.0L Twin Turbo AMG Engine.
They had to go to TT from N/A to meet Emission Regulations and Homologation Requirements. Trade off is it sounds pretty boring compared to the screaming NA V12...
Sell the veyron only thing it can do other than go 250mph is bankrupt you after every service and stop at gas station

Normally i'd say the Veyron but comparing these two side by side... Aesthetically, the Huayra is just incredible to look at. It's so futuristic in it's styling, it's decadent, it's something most people will only see once in their life if ever. If you want something unique that will start a conversation, that will awe people and especially yourself, then I say go with the Pagani

Personally I find the Huayra far more beautiful and interesting, but as a practical matter I will never be in a position to have either. Only you can decide whether the change is appealing to you.

The Veyron is dated, but the Huayra which is gorgeous has reliability issues reported by owners.

Przemysław S didn’t own one myself but that’s the feedback I got from Huayra owners. And that’s why they say there are plenty used for sale.

We all remember how long the Zonda lived. They still have plenty of hauyras to make before we start to see the huayra "we promise this is the final one" and the huayra "we promise this is the final one" spider
I wasn't a fan of the Huayra until saw the Roadster at the Geneva Motorshow. Now it's my favourite car in the world. The attention to detail is truly amazing.

Not a huge Pagani fan, whether that’s because you need to see one in person to understand it or not I don’t know. Sure they are exciting but I don’t like them more than many rivals and I certainly prefer the Veyron.
However, this is not about me. This is about you Carl and you are very passionate about the Huayra Tempesta. So I would say go for it, especially if you know it’ll appreciate in value. You’ve experienced the Veyron for 2 1/2 years now, if after a year or maybe longer with the Huayra you miss the Veyron then you can always sell the Pagani (hopefully at a profit) and buy another Veyron (or maybe even a Chiron)

Thats a tough decision. Personally I think that not only is the Bugatti Veyron an iconic and better car than the Huayra in terms of performance but I also really do believe it will really become appreciated in a couple of years in terms of investment. But having said that from watching the video I can tell you are really convinced with that Huayra and you should go with your gut feeling.
eyman yes, the veyron may be faster in a straight life but definitely not around corners. Also, they veyron may be iconic but not as beautiful in my opinion

Zonda (any iteration), Carrera GT, and the Ferrari F50 are the only hypercars I ever wish to own. These newer cars are cool but the sound the naturally aspirated engines make is unbelievable. Pair that with less driver aids and manual transmissions and you have a winner.

YES. RIGHT NOW If a Koenigsegg is not possible. I was in Miami at Presrige yesterday gawking at multiple exposed carbon Huayaras and a Zonda they have. The craftsmanship in person is truly unbelievable.

Pagani all day, the Veyron chassis in addition to the awd system makes it an understeering mess. The Pagani is far lighter and can handle a good road far better. Plus the interior of the Huayra is miles better, and to me the exterior looks better too. The spec of the Huayra is incredible too.
I’ve been lucky enough to ride enough in a Tempesta Huayra (Hannah, the US test car) and the car is just such an experience. The doors with the windows built into the roof, and the interior build quality is next level. The driver was having quite a bit of fun as well lol, the car is so light that the “low” power doesn’t matter. It throws you into the back of your seat pretty easily.

Huayra is jewel box of a car that will always appreciate. It is the pinnacle of automotive art conceived and executed by an automotive genius. The Veyron is the result of lots of lab coats and no expenses spared engineering, BUT "soulless" compared to the Pagani. Looking for a reason not to do something is a clear sign "you" need to do it. Regret can never be fixed by writing a check no matter how big. We all should have such first world problems. GLWTD!
I have a similar problem, should I buy milk or beer??? I need milk with my coffee in the morning to help me wake up, but I also need beer at night to help me unwind and fall asleep..... the struggle is real my friends

Hi Carl. I would definately get the Pagani and with the Tempesta it is the closest Hauyra to a BC. Better yet try and get a BC, there are only 25 if you want exclusivity. I work on and drive these cars and they are trully very special cars put together with care, love and passion by a family in Modena.
definetly A pagani is also a masterpiece of engeneering, because of the Titan bolts and the titan screws, Mercedes Amg Engine and carbon how long the eye can see ... 😍😉😉
I like seeing Veyron's when I do, but I can't get enough of the Huayra. Always find something new to look at. From what I've seen, it's 100 coupes, I believe there's supposed to be 100 roadsters, 20 BC coupes but it sounds like they've made nearly double that, and now the BC Roadster is coming. If they end it after that, still less than the Veyron count. I may be biased though, the Huayra is my dream, specifically #025

The Huarya is the most beautiful car known to man.
The Veyron is nice. The Huayra is a great car. But most owners personalize theirs-La Monza Lisa, THE KING, Dinastia, etc. Also the Huayra BC has one-offs like the Huayra BC Macchina Volante with a one-off wing and cinque vents and the optional roof scoop.
This is a personal opinion but Veyrons retain their value cause they were record breakers. Whether they are one-offs or not, you'd be getting a past record holder. The Huayra on the other hand, if not one-off, would drop. Like the Zondas. Once the 760 Series came out, the prices of the normal Zonda S and F dropped.
The Veyron is timeless and never looks dated, but the Huayra is undoubtedly special so you will regret it if you don’t do the swap, good luck with the choice oh what a choice.

yes, the huayra is more exclusive, but it is also less reliable, since it overheats easily and always has a battery problem, and it is also more uncomfortable, since it is a single clutch

Carl, very difficult for general public to give an answer to your question, I have some nice cars but without owning or driving both how do you make a decision! I hope if you buy the Pagani you will do some miles in it, if not buy a painting, that has always been my train of thought👍
Keep the Veyron and get the Huayra, they both look good together sitting in the garage.

The veyron might be going down in value rn but just know for a fact that it will appreciate and that too on a Mclaren F1 level. This car did what the f1 did before the veyron.
The first Bugatti and Pagani owner I see telling some of the truth about supercar ownership.
The way you talk about that Huayra definitely makes me think it’s your “forever car” (well if you buy it I’m sure you’ll sell it one day but by forever car I mean perfect car for you) I’d say pull the trigger as the Bugatti has kept its value while the Pagani has risen and is way more rare and also it seems you like the Pagani a lot more than the Veyron
