The Synceros are super cool, they're based off a 'digitization' program by the socialist president Salvador Allende (that the US couped and therefore has a incredible influence in chilean culture today). A really good mod just a native southern Californian I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of Disney mentioned at all in Orange County region given that parks are way more popular with locals here than it is in Florida and that imagining and the companys head quarters are here in California in general.
Look I’m Cali over Florida any day (have extended family in OC) but the Orlando park is MASSIVE and gets more visitors per year. The California park is also just a fraction of the joy of California whereas it’s literally all Orlando has. I’m assuming that played into the decision somewhat.

Your ck3 videos introduced me to a canticle for leibowitz and the book really left an impact. Do you think you would ever be interested in a Texarcana playthrough? It would be so nice to see someone play them as the canticle was so inspirational in the creation of this mod.
If you look at the title history of the maritimes, you can see Joseph Brigitte “le batarde”, as a king of the maritimes of the Godin dynasty. He was my seven times great grandfather! I love the eastern Canadian dev, they do wonderful work.
The caliphate of the messiah(?) up by edmonton was a super fun game i had running for a while. tribal nomad government, unique muslim faith and a set foundation for a nice head cannon story. had a lot of fun conquering some tribes and subjugating and subsequently allying and converting others.
The legion of remembrance is actually really cool, considering there's a lot written about how nationally sacred sites such as war memorials fill much the same role that Christian locations did, particularly in European / post-colonial states.
The Holy Columbian Commonwealth has events that propagate the schism of the Evangelical Union. Didn't play it myself, but I watched it go down from next door in New Orleans, so I imagine it'd be interesting to play as the Commonwealth.
the Kingdom of Ontario is a fun start, you start with the kingdom title but only three counties and have to reconquer your de jure land. Castels and Turcots in Haut Quebec and Bas Quebec respectively are also cool and you can reunite Quebec as either.
If your trying for the presidency than in Cape Cod you can find a man who's old enough to know but young enough to do. Could make for a fun playthrough.
Speaker Samuel of New Orleans is a good start if you want to play a republic. Plus New Orleans is perhaps the best barony in the game in terms of gold.
the gothamists aren't the only americanists in their region, but the other one the mayflower society doesn't share their head of faith and they can holy war each other.
You can press the observe button which lets you see everything as if you were playing but with out actually playing which could help with videos like this, also, this mod is awesome
I live in the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. It is so cool that the in-game region is called Rogue. I am gonna download and play the mod just to check out the religion and culture lore of that area and see what references there are to the real world area. So cool!
I am a big fan of the one Aphist character at game start (ruler of Arixo). Aphism is based on the real-life proposal for an Atomic Priesthood, and is heavily hinted to be intentionally established by pre-Event scientists. As for the character, he is an Aphist ruling over entirely non-Aphist lands (there are no Aphist provinces in the game), and his heretical vassals hate him. An interesting start, and has interesting flavor of restoring the now almost obsolete Aphist faith.
I've done two saves that I had so much fun on that mod and i would recommend they too. The first one was in Yeisibibetere, in the amazon rain forest nex to Bolívar, the rulers of the region are the Yanomami people, they suffered alot in recently years in Brazil and almost get extinct, so i choose then and create a Indigenous Confederation, where i expand the borders of the Yanomami and vassalized other natives in the region and created a empire with elective rule with only the south american native people in all the Amazon Rainforest. The second recommendation was playing in the interior of the northeast region of Brazil and recreate the Canudos, was a revolt that happened in Brazil during the early 20 century where people created a self governing society in the interior of that region and they chief was a Priest, since in real life they where all killed by the brazillian army i get revenge and destroy the Brazillian Empire justo to create the Union of the Canudos.
Start as Cohuila (I think it's called that) between the kingdom of Chihuahua and Nuevo Leon. Has claims to Nuevo Leon and is allied to chihuahua, and once the king of chihuahua dies your wife gets claims to the kingdom. Also you can get a patrilineal marriage with the General of Sonora
This mod is amazing. Kinda overwhelming, but amazing. There are a lot of really boring areas and characters in vanilla CK3, but that’s not the case in AtE. That’s because, being a mostly fictional setting, it’s really easy to spice things up. I had a good laugh when I realized that the game starts on July 4th.
Ring-a-ding-ding baby! Taking over the strip and gambling is a really funny and unpredictable way of waging war across the Nevada. Also taking a atomocist faith.
My favourite start so far that I've done, was as Duke Robert DeSalle of Chicagoland. His auto-generated son and heir was named Ashur for me, and since the Assyrian Church holy sites are almost all in and around Chicago, I made a Neo-Neo Assyrian Empire in America. 10/10 would recommend.
Currently doing a Mexico Empire run. I was still a Haciendero when the Cristero Emperor of Mexico was abdicated. Now I’m fighting the Republic for control of the region. ☺️ What’s more is that my family is from the Bajio region. Makes it more personal heh
My first run is down in Houston, looking to reform the Lone Star (my go-to run in CK2), but I am very excited at the prospect of starting my next run up in Haida Gwaii.
Did this. Started as José le Gaspar of Fuerte Myers (Fort Myers) in Florida. I managed to destroy the lily livered dog who mutinied against me and reclaimed Costa del Sol (Suncoast) and reclaimed lands lost to the republic of Miami and the Chiefdom of Orlando. I then formed La Florida and converted to insular Christianity because I kept getting attacked by the rulers of Cuba. Kept playing as my characters daughter and married into the ruler of Havana's family and plan to start conquering the Caribbean.
I got screwed. Where I come from, we see Atlanta as a blight. My county is one of the most conservative in America despite rapid urbanization. In ATE, the approximate location of my hometown is Atlantan culture and predominantly black, both of which are not true. In actuality, white Dixies are just under a supermajority with a huge Hispanic population (consisting of both White Hispanics and Meztizos). In fact, we have one of the largest Hispanic populations in Georgia. If you count White Hispanics, the white ratio rises from an absolute majority to eighty percent. It would be far more accurate to put my area as Low Dixie Culture (not Southron or Piedmontese), as we are not mountainous enough to be Appalachian.
I tried a Waveruler play through recently, it’s fun but needing to reform your clan and organize your faith really slow down the whole conquering thing you’re supposed to go for
I'd recommend playing as a West Virginian Omenteller! It's fun having to survive against the odds and unite West Virginia. From there you can reform the Omenteller faith and launch holy wars (such as against Virginia). If you do that you can reunite the two states into "Grand Virginia." Good time!
Massive fan of playing in Appalachia but you do have to form your own empire if you want to unite it. Still, it's really cool to create an Omenteller counternation to the HCC
Yes I know…someone already mentioned this. In my defense yall live in almost identical looking states and decided to name your mountains the green and white mountains. An honest mistake.
@@Soul_Tomato they do have that orthodox faith that is all over Alaska but I feel they should have some stuff similar the the falklands about the Russian empire instead. I’m also bummed that both of them are chuchy and not Russian.
Any good spots or placerholder-like areas that would be good for a custom ruler? I tend to get paralyzed with all the choices on vanilla and modded preset rulers. Sometimes it's nice to try your own thing.
A less interesting and more comedic option for a ruler is to choose the wawa dynasty which one of the rulers can be found as a vassal under Delmarva and the other as a vassal if the Delaware Duchy north of Delmarva
I can't wait for the houses to get some more love, if thats even in the dev's plans. The interactions between culture, faith and dynasty are my favourite things to play around with in this game.
Honestly once i get a more powerfull machine i'm doing my general plays i did in ck2 after the end. Playing chicagoland with a industrialist faith and be probably targeted by 4 crusades.
there are many fun starts. You mentioned some of my favorites. Playing in New England / Atlantic Canada is one of my favorite regions. I would recommend the Kingdom of Louisiana or New Orleans, as both are voodist faith of Louisiana voodoo. Louisiana starts at war but has a good size kingdom though there are also a bunch of other revelationists within your midst. Another start I like or well style is to play as a vassal in the various empires. Particularly of the big three California, Brazil or the HCC. California and Brazil have lots of different faiths and cultures, while the HCC is kind of unique in that everyone is evangelical but there are plenty of cultures and if you are near the border regions different faiths. the HCC also has the Calvert event chain which can break up the whole Evangelical faith which is neat. and of course within the empire you could do different styles, are you going to be someone in the center of the empire involved with politics and scheming, similar to starting in the center of the HRE in vanilla. Or are you a marcher lord sort of vassal, on one of the frontiers defending the empire from foreign threats, such as the menacing Floridians for the HCC?
This is my first time seeing the mod, part of me wants to play an “official character” before I make my own. Is the Viking character a good character to start with?
A cool idea would be for a Quebecois religion praising Joan of Arc, believing her to be the actual embodiment of "the Ark", fulfilling a role as a protector to the faiths established by the various patriarchs (or prophets) throughout history. One man to re-establish the truth, one woman to defend it. They believe many women have served in this role as reincarnations (which Christianity has, but just only once, in Heaven for most people), from Abraham, to Phoebe (believed to be the messenger promised by Christ, who some Christians strangely worship), to Boudica (who their neighboring Ursuline English should follow), to Joan, to the woman who saved mankind.
I am ethnically and culturally a Dixie, Southern born and Southern raised. In a world of fanatic iconoclasm and despisal of Southron high culture (e.g. "Gone With the Wind") due to the baggage of slavery, nothing makes me so happy as this Mod's take. The greatest thing about the After the End Mod to me is the sheer amount of respect and reverence they demonstrate for my culture and my people, even bringing back the best qualities and most virtous aspects of the Antebellum era, the high culture of the Planters and the ideas of Southern chivalry, hospitality, and Southern Knights in their original form (which the KKK aped). While I do not like a black man from Atlanta being the unifier and I am offended that my hometown is Atlantan culture (WE ARE NOT IN THE METRO AREA, NOT YET), the in-universe explanations for how a black man reigned are sensible. Indeed, the idea of a post-racial America and an emphasis on culture matches my civic nationalist view inherently: all races are equal, but not all cultures are equal. I also like the idea of reviving Dixie culture, in its true and distinct meaning versus the homogenized and iconolastic farce that the Yankees want us to be. I honestly consider ATE's take *_better_* than having a Neo-Confederacy, and that's saying something. It always makes me so happy to see someone approach my culture and worldview with an open mind and such respect. I'm so used to being demonized as an inbred racist redneck, and ATE's developers see me, and my people, as so much more. I am proud to download the Mod and I wish more people would treat the Southland with such dignity.

@@Soul_Tomato seems fair though just wish it had the castle at least. Ultimately more offensive that they lump OC into the Angeleno culture because that part is way wrong. Any one who lives around here can tell you OC and LA are very different places when it comes to culture and politics.

In my most recent game I accidentally selected Lutheranism (Confessionalist) for a custom ruler. It has actually been a very good time fighting all the other religions in the Pacific Northwest. Loving what they’ve done with After the End as a veteran of the CK2 mod.
Freelands and the whole Pacific NW area is my favorite - in part because I'm in Oregon! But I enjoy the Gaians a lot, and love working toward a reformed Cascadia.
I pretty regularly play Palouse or Colville for the same reason. I'm from that area, so I enjoy uniting the inland PNW
I love having the ability to play in my beloved state of Delaware...I know it's not what most people would even think of playing but being such a small and obscure place to play, it just touches my heart seeing the detail put into the towns/baronies of the first state!
Driven through it a few times (and stopped once or twice). A nice place!

Your ck3 videos introduced me to a canticle for leibowitz and the book really left an impact. Do you think you would ever be interested in a Texarcana playthrough? It would be so nice to see someone play them as the canticle was so inspirational in the creation of this mod.

I’m excited for when they get more for sure.
It’s probably one of the deepest faiths I’ve delved into. There’s a ton of layers to it
The Holy Columbian Commonwealth has events that propagate the schism of the Evangelical Union. Didn't play it myself, but I watched it go down from next door in New Orleans, so I imagine it'd be interesting to play as the Commonwealth.
That sounds intriguing
They ate themselves with at least 2 simultaneous wars after the first 10 years lol. Pure chaos. Good thing though so I can exploit it as Florida.
the Kingdom of Ontario is a fun start, you start with the kingdom title but only three counties and have to reconquer your de jure land.

Good to know
Ever since I first heard of this mod I’ve wanted to play one nation, and one nation only. I’m going to create the Grand Empire of Vancouver Island.

Interesting. Will have to give that a look
Ohhh the Yanomami are really cool. They're a true symbol of resilience
Also in Aridamerica is the king of Luchadores (west coast)
Also also in the duchy of Colorado across from Las Vegas is Senyor Edward Kayser. A reference to fnv
Apparently there's also a child ruler leading the Greater Reserve who's a reference to Calvin and Hobbes. I did not expect that at all.
There’s so many Easter eggs. I have another of these coming out based on community suggestions and I think 3/4 of them are just easter eggs lol
What’s more is that my family is from the Bajio region. Makes it more personal heh
So La Cucharacha is the Hideyoshi of Arixa?
Kinda yeah
My first run is down in Houston, looking to reform the Lone Star (my go-to run in CK2), but I am very excited at the prospect of starting my next run up in Haida Gwaii.
I’m gonna be doing a video down near that area here on the channel soon :)
Might be a little off but my favorite start is making yourself ruling over where you live IRL if you life in the Americas. So fun

Honestly I really want to since I unironically love West Virginia
Massive fan of playing in Appalachia but you do have to form your own empire if you want to unite it. Still, it's really cool to create an Omenteller counternation to the HCC
4:00 That's Vermont, not New Hampshire. The Green Mountain State refers to Vermont. As a Vermonter that really irked me
Yes I know…someone already mentioned this. In my defense yall live in almost identical looking states and decided to name your mountains the green and white mountains. An honest mistake.
Btw you can play in Russia. Just a small fun fact. Too bad they don’t have any custom content like the Falklanders.
I wonder if it’s part of that orthodox faith then
@@Soul_Tomato they do have that orthodox faith that is all over Alaska but I feel they should have some stuff similar the the falklands about the Russian empire instead. I’m also bummed that both of them are chuchy and not Russian.
That’s actually a good idea. Drop that as a suggestion in the discord!

They got WaWas in the game?! 😭😭
I can't wait for the houses to get some more love, if thats even in the dev's plans. The interactions between culture, faith and dynasty are my favourite things to play around with in this game.
I know they want to expand a lot of specific character's stories so I'd imagine that would go hand in hand
Just what I needed, looking for some fun starts
Honestly once i get a more powerfull machine i'm doing my general plays i did in ck2 after the end. Playing chicagoland with a industrialist faith and be probably targeted by 4 crusades.
In the name of the Titans I wish you luck 🫡
there are many fun starts.
Great suggestions
I just hope there either is or will be an event chain inspired by Emperor Norton.
That would be cool
This is my first time seeing the mod, part of me wants to play an “official character” before I make my own. Is the Viking character a good character to start with?
Probably the best one considering his event chain and he’s strong
Nova Rutenia looks interesting, annoying as you're Byz Cath surrounded by normal brazilian catholics so you have no immediate expansion avenues
Good taste on the music bro
Thanks bro 😎
Roads to power with this mod is gonna be insane
I hope so
A cool idea would be for a Quebecois religion praising Joan of Arc, believing her to be the actual embodiment of "the Ark", fulfilling a role as a protector to the faiths established by the various patriarchs (or prophets) throughout history.
I have question. In svalbard, is there any formables or any empires or kingdom's you can form as them?
I’d assume there’s at least a kingdom up in Greenland yeah
@@Soul_Tomato thanks m8, when my computer comes in, that's the first thing I'm doin
