@@dz3jk0b41 i somehow prefer the jetpack on elex 1 , something its wrong with the weight and inertia when you're flying vertically on elex 2. You don't feel the weight as good as the first one
I suppose it it a bit harder to really take in the environments when oyu're just zooming around the map at high speed. elex 1 is a lot more memorable. be it the quests, the very hard early game, the environmental hazards and the visual design. not to mention the plot, which goes completely off the rails in the second game. legendaries, magic, jetpack and even hitboxes (lol) have all been much improved in elex 2. as for melee combat, it is definitely less "clunky", but also less unique. being terrible at 1 vs many melee fights actually made berserker magic shine in my last playthrough. you can easily destroy entire bandit camps by gathering all enemies, forcing the ai into melee and then aoeing them down all at once. anyway, I had a great time. I enjoy challenging games and finding things out on my own. realising how broken and easy to make elex potions are in the first game all by myself was very satisfying. sometimes, bad/weird balance choices can lead to unique experiences. that's why I really like AA games. I started following games made by "spiders" and buying them on sale. heard good things about greedfall and the technomancer.
idk why but elex 2 feel so unfinished in comparison to the first one
There are things that are done better in Elex 2 like shotguns and jetpack, but Elex 1 was way better in every other aspect imo.

It wouldn't be Piranha Bytes if they didn't completely butcher their own game with a new installment.
True, Gothic, Risen and Elex were the best in their series.
