Slick build! Can't wait to see it fly! You should add afterburners! 😁

You could have used both receivers and bind both to the transmitter, and that would have enabled you to join the aircraft without running wires between both planes since you have already omitted the servos and the control surfaces, this would have reduced the construction time and simplified the modifications. Next time you attempt a similar project you could try this method of reconfiguration. I have been able to bind two aircraft to the same transmitter in the past, and I think it would be the easiest way to obtain your goal. Interesting project, I hope it flies well. 🙂

Split your elevators, mix them with there respective aileron and use the middle one for elevator only.

I love this idea! it will take a little doing as the servo leads are embedded in the foam and i dont know if there is even a Y connector or just soldered together. I will do this mod after the maiden for sure!

Outstanding job. You covered this build in great detail. Can't wait to see the maiden.

Thanks! Its hard to make things concise and informative. 30 min is just about the max a video should be. however, with the maiden in the bag people have instructions if they want to build there own now.

I think you can use two 30mm edf

I just did a thrust test on our test stand and it turns out the 2X 30mm edf's only put out about 70% of the total power of the single 64mm. We can try to strap on a warthog edf set with 2X 64mm though!

It looks like nothing seen before! One question: What happens if you omit the two outside vertical stabilizers and just keep the two inside?

I am not sure, We will try flying it with a few different tail configurations. The tails are not to scale on these EDF jets and are usually 25% to 50% over sized because the plane needs the drag to fly level and not get to unstable.
