The star turned out PERFECT...❤ I would also addthe tulips on esch sleeve and add the pieced Faff. Stripped pieced to the back undet the wording, and maybe on the shoulders add your 1/2 triangle blocks. If this is to much your star really makes it special. THANK YOU for going through the steps.❤

If I were unhappy with the bits of color at the edges, I would touch them up with a black fabric marker. I’ve done that many times, as I’m a sloppy sewer. Love your jacket. Will try one myself. Thanks for the great tutorial!

Yes! You just never know where a practice block will turn up useful. I had originally intended to use it on a machine cover. So glad I delayed on that!

Hi Sheri.wowtowtow.. beautiful. I just love it. Thank you for doing this and showing us the options are endless. I will give this a try, I'm sure. Love the way the star goes across the zipper. I will try this on a jean shirt. Thank you for all these creative ideas. Have a great day. Loved this tutorial. Sending hugs.

That looks great Sherri! I was trying to tell you to put the adhesive on before you started cutting anything -- but you couldn’t hear me. 😂😂🧵

I have some sweatshirts that have gotten bleach splattered on them, and was given some pillow blocks, so going to use some of them to cover the spots. Also plenty of scrap pieces that can be sewn into a crumb block, then cut into whatever shapes I want to applique. I have some scrap batting too.....may use it to, and actually quilt some for added texture.

Great idea. I have a store bought sweater I only wore a few times before it got a big hole on the back. I know how to knut, but I don't think I could pick up the stitches to repair it. Never thought of making a quilt square patch.

This is brilliant! Thank you for inspiring me (all of us).
I love buying men’s sweatshirts because they’re longer. Target has them in pretty colors too. I want to “girly them up” and have cut designs from old worn out shirts. I didn’t have a plan but hated to just toss/waste them. I’ll turn them into appliqué and put in my new sweat shirts. I also have an extra Dresden plate from a quilt.
Talk about fun repurposing! I’ll teach my granddaughter to do this too.

I would get some of the diamond buttons without a shank and put at the tip of each of point of your stars. I think it turned out super cute!! If you are afraid the buttons will get caught on things, maybe glue a jewel you have in the jug on this tips of the star. It kinda seems like they get lost “in” the star itself. Just my opinion. I think it’s cute with just the star on it. Sherri you definitely made it your own!! If you take it with you to another Sew Yeah retreat no one is going to be able to walk away with it!! 💙 Another great show!! Laura 💙🪡🧵
