- Remove Instrument gauge cluster in Nissan 300ZX if you are going replacing the light bulbs or switching over to LED lights.
This video is also helpful if you plan on installing gauge rings from Z1 Motorsports. Авто/Мото
I know many of you already know how to do this, but this video is more inclined for the ones that are new to this car. Thanks for watching.
That presentation was informative & very interesting. Thank you.
I meant to come back and tell you thank you for this video
Just used your video, thank you. 🙏🏽
this is a good video showing how to take apart the dash. however to get to the inside of the cluster YOU DONT BREAK THE PLASTIC FROM WHERE ITS GLUED. there are a couple of tabs and maybe a screw or two that separate the back of the gauge cluster. the clear plastic and the plastic it is glued to will separate from the gauges as one piece...
Thank you for this info
I came here to say the same thing. Don’t break the fucking plastic cover off. The whole cover comes off with just 2 screws and the little tabs around. I just took the whole assembly apart in less than 5 mins with some pry tools to wedge under and a flathead to press the tabs in.
These 90's Nissan speedometers used the TOSHIBA V-2 bulbs... if anybody needs bulbs for this car check out - www.speedometerbulbs.com/collections/toshiba
Decent vid buddy thanks, exactly what I needed to know 👍
nice video. really helpful
Nice work i like this gauges for my z ! : )
Hey...i need to purchase a cluster for 1985 300 zx any ideas?
Good tutorial.
I put the gauge rings on mine and I didn't have to take the steering wheel rack off. just took out the side pods and the top shade cover and the whole thing just popped out when u wiggle it. also I didn't put clue on the plastic thing and its not making any noise. I did mine yesterday.
I'm trying to find replacement pods to connect my headlight and AC control. Does anyone know where I can find it?
@1:23 you have that white bracket that holds the pod on... like the back of the cluster goes up into that and you screw it from the bottom. what is that bracket called or do you know where I could get a replacement?
Nice video :)
Technically you did not remove the gauge cluster, just the glass I'm just saying
How much are the LEDs?
Where can I order those rings? Love the style

this isnt the right place to post this i suppose but, whenever i touch my hazard light switch.... the whooole thing goes . like i cant put my turn signals on, nothing. i replaced the actual switch already but that didnt seem to do much good. i dont think the relay is bad... any other ideas ?? i cant take it apart until i get that figured out
+Kern O'Leary is the whole hazard light switch assembly moving freely? is it not properly secured with the screws?
GOOD TUTORIAL BUT YOU NEED TO LEARN TO STEADY YOUR CAMERA.
