I just want 2 things, somewhat real driving mechanics that effects how vehicles will drive through the mud and water and the ability to unalive kidnapped npcs and players with not only gators, but with bears and snakes like the python
it's crazy how the San Andreas map was technically smaller yet it felt much bigger than gta 5 due to variety. goes to show you that you can make the smallest maps feel massive with the right use of space
GTA V map was not that much bigger, And GTA SA was much more dense.. Over all the OG SA map was the best hands down... Rockstar fucked up when they changed it to much was my biggest tripe when V released..
Not just variety, 5 had variety too, but the road layout itself. If you really look at it, there's almost no direct roads that cross the map. In GTA5 the entire map is surrounded by a looping highway, making it feel smaller.

Instead they created a whole new map with very few PoI's referencing the original game world. The promise leading up to release that San Andreas was coming back for it to only be a nostalgic memory.
Would be nice to see not only bigger cities, but more buildings that you can access. I think it was a shame gta 5 wouldn’t let you in the hospital, or fast food places like I’m gta 4.

As a South Floridian, I can relate to the names on that map 100%. I see Coral Gables, Coconut Grove. They even included Orlando and Disney World. This is going to be awesome.

If they represent a single city exactly like in real life, the map would already be 10x bigger than the GTA 5 map, I don't want quantity, I want quality. The distance between the Alamo Sea and the city of Los Angeles in real life is 189 km, and the map in GTA 5 is 12 km long. You are dumb.

I absolutely loved the mountain , they are completely unpredictable to travel through and you could never memorize them with so many variables. Personally played the game for years just wanting to drive through them with a pick up.
Yeah driving through the mountains on dirt roads is still one of the best parts of GTA. Driving down a canyon road mannn, or jumping off into a gorge etc
Swamps are the best place to explore in RDR2. GTA VI will definitely have Swamp areas in vice City. Imagine exploring during midnight with Gators and ghostly stuff lurking around.

Would be cool in a future GTA is they have Los Santos, Vice City and Liberty City all in one map but they are far enough apart that you have to fly to get between them. Could even be on separate islands.
Way back in 2009, there was this game that came out called Godfather 2, and it had this cool mechanic where you could catch a flight at the airport and it would take you between Cuba, New York City and Miami, all three full separate maps with different architecture and vehicles
or be able to switch states like how we were able to switch characters. i dont see how they weren’t able to make something like this within the 12 years in making. i guess we’ll see it on the next one in 3025
The original GTA (the 2d one) was Liberty City, San Andreas and Vice City on the one map and that's where every following GTA game setting comes from. They should do it again with the modern detailed versions, for the last GTA
I don’t think people realize that Rockstar isn’t focusing on recreating a city they’re recreating the entire state of Florida which Vice City is just a part of.
I don't care if the map is smaller. I would like them to take their time and release the game properly with their vision of the game implemented in full:)

Honestly yes. At the very least they should have added some islands off the shore of San Andreas in GTA v. Having a boat or plane in that game was pointless. The only other vehicle people had besides cars with helicopters or any other flying vehicle that could hover and land and doesn't require an airstrip.
I hope they make the wilderness actually interesting like it is in Red Dead Redemption 2. Have some of the map designers from the Red Dead team work on the GTA 6 map.
GtaV got a lot of mileage out of people wandering around the desert looking for secrets. It'd be a massive oversight not to include something similar in the sequel.
I just want the ability to actually change the environment forever. Destroy buildings, take down a tree, hell, I’d even settle for taking out a pebble at this point

As someone who lives in Florida I can literally guess all the map location inspirations and that makes it kind of nice for us here. And I just hope it takes place in the HD universe, It was one of the best for GTA games, even 4.

No to say that yall are close minded but there is far more potential for gta6 taking place in south Florida then NY could ever offer. And Rio would cause the same issue as gta5 since Rio is literally built into the mountains. At least in south Florida you not only have the Miami to explore, but you have the keys and the everglades that's swarmed with creepy crawlies, snakes, and gators. The amount of different ways to unalive kidnapped npcs and or prostitutes through means of wildlife has the ability to improve creative ways to do things in story mode and online.

I don’t want another island. I just want a big piece of playable land connected to a piece of blocked off land mass to make it feel like an actual state and not somewhere in the middle of the ocean.
The reason for the maps being islands and not being connected to blocked of landmasses is so there isn’t an area on the map you can’t visit. They did that with GTA III and some people were unhappy with a portion of the map they couldn’t visit. Why model and build something if the player will never interact with when you can put your time and resources into something that the player can use

San Andreas: Best combination of city and nature GTA IV: Best execution of detailed buildings and interiors GTA V: Best execution of underwater, mountain, and underground tunnels GTA VI: Best combination of all (hopefully)

People underestimate just how much wild life is in florida from panthers, pythons, gators, manatees, wild dogs, parrots. theres people smuggling exotic animals into the state and sometimes they escape and populate. Iguanas, cassowaries, monkeys, youd be surprised
Personally i love the open landscape of nothing but terrain. Gives a sense of size and also tour able to get away from the busy areas and explore too. Feels more adventurous. Less mountains and landscape will make it boring
but there's no reasons to go to the mountains outside of chiliad. There's no special encounters or side missions, just empty boring mountains. Red Dead at least had cabins scattered with different things going on around them
I obviously want more cities but we do still need some natural elements and wildlife

Swamps are the best place to explore in RDR2. GTA VI will definitely have Swamp areas in vice City. Imagine exploring during midnight with Gators and ghostly stuff lurking around.

Would be cool in a future GTA is they have Los Santos, Vice City and Liberty City all in one map but they are far enough apart that you have to fly to get between them. Could even be on separate islands.
Way back in 2009, there was this game that came out called Godfather 2, and it had this cool mechanic where you could catch a flight at the airport and it would take you between Cuba, New York City and Miami, all three full separate maps with different architecture and vehicles

The original GTA (the 2d one) was Liberty City, San Andreas and Vice City on the one map and that's where every following GTA game setting comes from. They should do it again with the modern detailed versions, for the last GTA

Honestly yes. At the very least they should have added some islands off the shore of San Andreas in GTA v. Having a boat or plane in that game was pointless. The only other vehicle people had besides cars with helicopters or any other flying vehicle that could hover and land and doesn't require an airstrip.

The reason for the maps being islands and not being connected to blocked of landmasses is so there isn’t an area on the map you can’t visit.
They did that with GTA III and some people were unhappy with a portion of the map they couldn’t visit. Why model and build something if the player will never interact with when you can put your time and resources into something that the player can use

People underestimate just how much wild life is in florida from panthers, pythons, gators, manatees, wild dogs, parrots. theres people smuggling exotic animals into the state and sometimes they escape and populate. Iguanas, cassowaries, monkeys, youd be surprised

Personally i love the open landscape of nothing but terrain. Gives a sense of size and also tour able to get away from the busy areas and explore too. Feels more adventurous. Less mountains and landscape will make it boring
