Picking up our new T line 590 next Friday and have been thinking of replacing the bulbs for LED. This video has pushed me over the edge and got some ordered all ready 👍🏻 thanks.
I did the same as you as per John & Mandy on tour last year the difference on the back roads in Scotland was unbelievable I have also fitted DRLs in the bottom skirts they are great. Thanks
Good video Bob I replaced mines after seeing Gadjet Johns video very easy to do and what a difference in lighting up the road , builds even have a wee cooling fan built in and very good quality product.

Thanks Bob .... great to see just how easy they were to fit. Would have been good to know the spec eg. H1 or H7 fitting etc ...... where you got them from .... and what they cost you !
Hi Bob. Great video as usual. I’ve only just seen this vlog as I’m thinking of upgrading to LED’s. A question I have though is, have you had an MOT since you fitted them? Strictly speaking replacing halogen filaments with LED’s is illegal and is a failure. If one wants to upgrade, then the complete headlamp assembly should be replaced. But how would a tester know that the filaments have been changed? I’d be keen to know how you got on as I’d also replace the filaments as it’s obviously cheaper than replacing the assembly! Keep up the great work Bob! Cheers!
Yes, it passed it's MOT in December last year. Another due soon and I assume they will pass that too. The worst that can happen if it fails, is that you have to change back to the old useless ones!
Excellent. Thanks Bob. I just install these today after watching your video and inspiration it gave me we've just acquired a 2016 Fiat Ducato rimor superbrig suite. No problem with fitting at all I don't know if I'll hold my nerve though to send it in for an MOT with these fitted. It's only just had its MOT so I've got 12 months to wait yet. Cheers Regards Garry
Hi please can I ask why you used 2 different brands of H7 Led on the dipped and high beam? They’re both H7. I fitted the Katur led to my fiat Ducato dipped beam and I’m very pleased with them so I wanted to fit the same again for my high beams
Hi Bob Did the ECU and system settings just accept the new bulbs ? I've read it's not easy to fit a new headlight unit with led Drls if the existing unit didn't also have led Drls as the software objects to the new functionality for some reason. But obviously changing the main and dipped beam bulbs to LED wasn't an issue.
Hi Bob. Thanks for your video. Very good explanation. Quick question : after you changed the one for the main beam, look like the bulb can move a little (even when it was attached) Is that the case ? Apparently, this small "ring" (where you attached the bulb) is thicker than the original bulb and it can be tricky to correctly attach the bulb ? Also, did you had to go to a maintenance center to setup your light ? (too high or too low issue ) ?? Sorry for any misspelling. I'm french, hope it's understandable
Well done Bob and I would certainly do the same if I still had the need, especially after suffering dreadfully poor lighting on a van years ago, however, if one night you are wondering why some clown is driving in the dark with sunglasses on as you pass you'll know it's me. lol. Great video and keep them coming.
Hi Bob, looking at the specs on those bulbs on Amazon, the Katur dipped beam are 12000 lumen 55w 6500k whilst the high beam Novosight (red ones) are only 10000 lumens 6000k. Is this right? Surely it should be the other way around? I.e the high beam brighter / more powerful than the dipped beam? Or am I missing something? Thanks Bob, keep those Vids coming.
Don’t get too taken in by the exaggerated specs these lamps tend to have, I’d be surprised if either was more than 5000 lumens. Still an improvement iver halogens for night driving though
Thanks for such a great video. Just wondering how they are 9 months on and if you'd still recommend doing? I'll be fitting to my van which I use on a daily basis so hoping for something durable. I fitted some to my car a few years ago and they didn't last the year, but it was a Volvo so headlights always on
Hi Bob, great video and thanks for sharing! I received katur h7 but novsight came in h1 housing. I guess there’s no point of trying to fit that one and better to send it back?

Hi Bob, great video. I’ve changed my headlights a you suggested and they work great. Just one question, in the headlamp module, in addition to the two bulbs that I replaced, there is another small bulb to the outer edge. I’m not sure if these are daytime running lights or parking lights, but is it possible to upgrade these a well to LED? Not the indicator light but the one below it. Thanks.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks. Yes I think we have those that show as a sort-of outline to the main light, but we still have an old fashioned “yellow” bulb on the edge of the unit. I think I need to test to see when it comes on.

Bob, these bulbs have small fans built in at the end of the bulb to keep them cool, be careful putting the black rubber cover back as this might stop cool air being drawn in, also did you put the spring retaining clip back on the dipped beam bulb, when I fitted mine I couldn’t get that clip on as the bulb had a thicker plastic shoulder, whereas the original bulbs have thin pressed metal shoulders I changed mine after watching Gadget John’s video, made a fantastic improvement but in the back of my mind was thinking the lamp manufacturer has designed the lamp to fitted with standard H7 bulbs 🤔🤔🤔
Sorry for making you do extra work there Bob, yours must be the latest type of lamp that you push the bulbs home instead of using a very fiddly spring clip which gave me most of my trouble fitting mine.
