It’s so funny how Dunkey went from flaming in LoL games to flaming everything gaming related and I couldn’t ask for a better reality it’s such fun content to watch.
It's crazy that at a point dunkey was the league guy. I only see him as the games guy.

Dunkey doesn’t have perfect takes that I always agree with, but he does stay true to what he believes in. He doesn’t give the the impression that he’s saying what he thinks he needs to say to get engagement and views I think he speaks his mind and I respect that.
His 'Discussing Last of Us 2 with RUclips Comments' video proves that so damn hard.
This man will stand by his opinions, especially if it's hating on Octopath.
He also changes his takes and admits his mistakes too in some cases. Like Red dead last of us and death stranding . Nobody except him probably had the balls to call last of us and Red dead 2 on the stuff that was bad. And the guy clearly likes video games unlike many who pretend and is very harsh as a result and I respect it

The thing about Dunkey is that you can never tell if something is a bit or not, so even if your favorite game gets criticized, there’s no point in taking it seriously

I think it’s pretty obvious when Dunkey is being sincere
And by not taking it seriously, I mean not being offended by it. I saw a lot of people get really upset at some of Dunkey’s takes, and even though I disagree with certain things he says, to me it’s all just for fun.

You'd think that a guy who plays platformers 24/7 for the past few years would be able to name more than just one game ( Jump King ). Seriously, off the top of my head I can name a handful and I'm not even into platformers at all ( Super Meat Boy, Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Ori ).

The thumbnail faces have been recycled so much that im having a really hard time figuring out if I've watched a video already or not, without looking at when it's posted. A+ marketing.
Generally if you've watched a video there's a red bar at the bottom showing how far you got. Videos also have unique titles, and then you can read that with your eyes and then use your brain to remember if you've already seen a video with that title. I can understand your confusion though, since reusing reaction faces in the thumbnail is something only Atrioc does, you don't see that from big creators at all really. For me this e3 was good for hearing about games we already new, the only big new games announced were re4 and goat simulator 3, that being said cuphead dlc looks great and wasn't delayed and slimerancher 2 was there

Now that Bethesda can launch straight to gamepass , I forsee their quality going down. Most games will start to bleed into rush betas being put up on gamepass and then being live serviced to death IMO

Honestly E3 was literally all Silksong for me. If I ever have some ungodly reason to remember this years E3, all I’ll think is “hey, that’s when they officially announced Silksong release!”
Bethesda doesn't seem to get that you should only be ambitions if what you're putting out is already really solid and well-made. Their last open-world game that wasn't online was Fallout 4, and while it had its moments and I generally enjoyed, it was still dated and still felt like it was struggling to fill the world, and it wasn't even a particularly huge game. A studio that actually has the grounds to be ambitious would be like From Software, when they already had a solid formula, and had a respected and trusted position among audiences. They knew what they were doing, and had to be ambitious making Sekiro and Elden Ring, due to the differences from their original formula. And with both of those games, they didn't get too ambitious; they kept it within reasonable levels. A jump from the combat of Dark Souls or Bloodborne to that of Sekiro was reasonable, and although the change from the more linear design of their earlier games to an open-world game was huge, it wasn't anywhere near the intended jump from Fallout 4 to Starfield.
I worry that Starfield is going to be as buggy at launch as No Man's Sky was, but Hello Games has continued to put enormous work into improving their game, without even once asking for more money from players, and this isn't Bethesda's track record. Bethesda just continues releasing the same exact game every few years with very minimal changes, and leaves all of the actual work to improve the game entirely up to the player base. Then they drop updates to the game that invalidate all of the work done my modders by making their early mods incompatible. Atrioc said it perfectly: I just don't trust them. I used to, but in the past decade they have done nothing to reinfoprce that trust and everything to undermine it.
@mana256k Lol I was literally thinking the same thing as I typed it, figured it probably wouldn't even get read. But sometimes I just like typing my thoughts on things out. Even if it doesn't get read, it helps me organize my perspective. And if it does get read then that's dope

granted, I don't know if it's a per video paycheck or an hourly cost or however it might be built - but as an editor, I'd rather be working on a project I'm proud of than putting up something that doesn't do that much

Hey Atrioc, have you seen "Gordita Chronicles" on HBO max? The domican actor that plays the dad looks EXACTLY like you. I couldn't unsee it. And to top it off..guess what his job was?... MARKETER
I think people overreact when Dunkey criticizes a game they like. People focus on his negative points rather than on his overall opinions, which are extremely balanced. There are tons of video games he likes, and he has a very good repertoire to base his opinions on. He does plays the games, most until the end (sometimes he drops really boring ones like Baland Wonderworld). Sometimes several times. It is not he is like criticizing for the sake of criticizing it.
He does have a preference though. As anyone does. He likes games that are fun to play (he dislikes repetitive mechanics like turn based games or automation), that gives freedom to you to do whatever you want (multiple ways to accomplish a goal for example), that are funny or sometimes so full of themselves that become funny. And he also watches a lot of movies so he likes storytelling that follows a movie-like structure. If you have a similar preference, then his videos will be always a delight to watch. But if your preferences are more tuned to a different type of experience, you might be focusing on his negative points and not enjoying the value he adds with his opinions.

That being said,again I like SFV as I started playing on this good phase and it was and has been great. Resident evil 4 doesn't need a remake, you can play the game on every new console in HD and in 60 frames, they're only remaking it because the game industry would rather make a "Remake" of a popular game then do anything actually new. That's how you end up with the final fantasy 7 remake that butchered the story so they could split it up into three games and sell you each for 60$ each.

@mana256k Maybe I'm just jaded in my early 20s, but both those game just seemed like cash grabs with some extra content sprinkled in with some updated graphics. Don't think they're was really a decent one since 5 and that was only fun because of co-op
Resident Evil 4 Remake is seemingly going for the original intention of the game over what it became which is a perfect reason to remake the game. It may include the infamous cut content of Hookman. IMO its a remake thats wanted by huge fans of RE4
Can someone please, PLEASE explain to me, a non FF fan, why they keep remaking, remaking, and more remaking? Are they honestly recycling the same 10 final fantasies? Or are there actually like 50 FF installments I just never heard of? I’m genuinely starting to lose sleep over this

It's so funny how dunkey is 100% right about everything except jrpgs. It's like he made a deal with the devil to have the perfect video game takes no matter what but the condition was he would never enjoy a jrpg.
It’s his tastes. He even acknowledged it before by saying that he hates anime, turn based, and RPGs. Knowing all of that, he STILL thinks Persona 5 is a pretty good game. That by itself makes me say “damn, that must be a pretty good game.”

the economics of why games are made exclusive are understandable but thats not the same as it being good
In theory the idea of game companies trying to one up each other with better exclusives is a good idea to push the quality of those games up, the problem is that a lot never get released on other systems after that. Like, I'm fine with games being exclusive to certain devices for say, a year, but then it should be released for everyone.
Hey this is a step down for you I'd say you have the resources to not just watch someone else's video and rebroadcast it, but instead make a PowerPoint of the arguments dukney brings worth or to ask your viewers to watch the video than you'll talk about it. Stealing other peoples content is scummy at best. I doubt you'll read this but I ask anyone who reads this to watch DarkviperAU and his many videos on why react content is bad. It was an eye opener for myself.
