Personally, I feel child abuse has occurred. Mental abuse, Kody plays those mind games with the kids. Remember when he went up to Truly and quizzed her about how she was doing about the move? If there has been a report of abuse, especially if made to or by an ‘expert’ such as a child psychologist with credential for example, then a judge can close the hearing to discuss the well-being of the minor child. Your suspicions are spot on ~ judges don’t bend to public figures. There also appears to be a sense of urgency as though something more is pressing than just a run of the mill custody and child maintenance action.

It’s not a mystery why the hearing was closed. Abuse, physical, emotional, and mental, has been mentioned by the older children and documented by the cameras. Kody has neglected Truly and Ysabel. He’s made no effort to have a relationship with them for years. Utah law states the hearing will be closed if abuse or neglect are involved. I’m sure Christine alleges both in her petition for custody.
Truely's kidney failure, Ysabel's spine surgery and because they are sisterwives and she helped raise garrison, that could maybe be involved, Kody's neglect was probably a main reason for Garrison's mental health decline and passing. I don't think any child is mentally safe with Kody...look what havoc he has created in his family, and the way his step daughters behave is odd, 2 grown girls who were ripped away from biological father, are very sheltered and still asking for consent from their parents...

He hasn’t done any research. It annoys me that they continue to call the break up a divorce. There was no divorce. Two long term partners broke up. Kody didn’t even sign any of Christine’s children’s birth certificates. So in the eyes of the law, he has no rights to Truely.

I saw clinical narcissism traits in Kody in the first episode of the show I saw. So much clearer now.
If there has been a report of abuse, especially if made to or by an ‘expert’ such as a child psychologist with credential for example, then a judge can close the hearing to discuss the well-being of the minor child. Your suspicions are spot on ~ judges don’t bend to public figures. There also appears to be a sense of urgency as though something more is pressing than just a run of the mill custody and child maintenance action.
If Johnny Depp and Amber Heards court proceedings and dirty laundry was public then I can't see how this was private unless it is because truly is a minor and don't want her court issues public

It should be closed for Truely's sake. Her parents chose to be public, and she is because of them, but she shouldn't have to have this exposed to her peers. If it were just kody and christine I would agree that there should need to be more of a reason.

Just because they decided to put a portion of their lives public, does not mean we have a right to know details of their personal affairs. To say that this might be a public issue is ignorant.
It’s not a mystery why the hearing was closed. Abuse, physical, emotional, and mental, has been mentioned by the older children and documented by the cameras. Kody has neglected Truly and Ysabel. He’s made no effort to have a relationship with them for years.
Utah law states the hearing will be closed if abuse or neglect are involved. I’m sure Christine alleges both in her petition for custody.
Truely's kidney failure, Ysabel's spine surgery and because they are sisterwives and she helped raise garrison, that could maybe be involved, Kody's neglect was probably a main reason for Garrison's mental health decline and passing. I don't think any child is mentally safe with Kody...look what havoc he has created in his family, and the way his step daughters behave is odd, 2 grown girls who were ripped away from biological father, are very sheltered and still asking for consent from their parents...

I think the reason for the lock out is to protect Truly. She is in the public eye through no fault of her own. She has a right to privacy and we have no right to know the intimate details of her parents’ custody dispute.

Kody nearly got Truly killed when she was a baby and he left her in the care of her older sisters. There is definitely neglect here and he may have had inappropriate relationships with his other daughters and Christine is using this as a reason to keep Kody away from Truly.
