  • Here I show you the infamous 20A fuse that you need to pull for 15 secs to reset the trunk or boot pneumatic actuator. This is typically required if you have trouble getting your trunk to soft close due to air leaking from the pneumatic actuator which can develop cracks and leaks.
    I have made a separate video here on how to determine and fix a leaking actuator:

    Also covered is a handy tip on how to open the rear stowage compartments if the lock is jammed due to needing to reset the fuse.

      If you lift the armrest there's two screws at the back remove these and the central peace between your cubbies can be removed. Underneath you will see the familiar yellow airlines just find the one that goes to your cubby and you might be able to force some air with an aerosol can down the tube

      @GrooveOn  4 месяца назад +1

      You can also remove the front panel of the cubbies and get to the fuse as I showed in the video with long nose pliers. One time my trunk was stuck half open half closed as I went over a pothole. I managed to resolve it by ensuring that the two flaps were fully up

I have dried it out and taken the pump assembly box to pieces to drain out the half cupful of water inside it - the motor is still whirring but it doesnt seem to have got the central locking working upon refitting the dried module (part of the circuit board looked as if it had been wet for a while and the 12 pin contact plug had blue copper sulfated on it which I scrubbed off)- I did manage to open the flap and suggested and check fuse which was ok. Any ideas what might still be at fault? not sure how I would test the PCB or hydraulic side of the pump assembly?

    Having a similar problem, it's much better to remove the designated fuse rather than disconnect the battery - thanks for indicating the right fuse! What I find strange is that my problem is intermittent - it all works fine for a few operations then decides it isn't going to soft-close requiring a reset. I've had the lock mechanism out and detected no leaks - so what could the problem be?
