I really liked Doom 3. I don't know why so many people didn't. This game scared the SHIT out of me.. I remember playing it the first time at night in my college apartment and having to take breaks because it was so intense.
Because back in 2004, DOOM 3 was such an extreme departure from DOOM 1 and 2. It tried, and failed to be a horror shooter, because how can things be scary, when you're basically a mobile Armory, and anything that could've been scary is so easily made not scary, with a couple of shotgun bursts? It basically lead DOOM 3 being a very pretty game, at least 2004 standards, but a shallow FPS experience, again by 2004 standards. And back in 2004, little 10 year old me was also frightened by DOOM 3, but as I grew older, and played many more FPS games, I realized it isn't that scary. With that said, the spunkgargleweewee onslaught that's been disgracing the FPS genre for the better part of the last decade, DOOM 3 suddenly seems more fulfilling FPS experience, compared to things like CoD, and Battlefield, and that's why it's beginning to re-emerge as a classic FPS.
Doom 3 wasn't as "fast paced" or something like that. I personally love the fact that it has a "Resident Evil" vibe to it. This was the one that had a legitimate story behind it, along with the trademark brutality that Doom has.
I want to bring G4 back....on Xfinity, Dish Network, DirecTV, internet, app along with X-Play, AOTS, Cops, Campus PD, Cheaters, Ninja Warrior and American Ninja Warrior. Also Icons. Who wants to let them bring G4 back?
What about cheat!, video game Vixens, icons, code monkeys, filter, cinematech, anime Unleashed? They should bring them back with new episodes and new hosts.
i was never a doom fan, not that it wasnt good but never for me, i remeber doom 3 and it was better looking then any game ever made on ps2 which would explain why the game was only on xbox and pc but what i hated about it was surprisingly the poor sound effects for one thing the guns didnt sound good at all then just the mechanics, like halo has good mechanics and goldeneye felt good but doom felt so average............

G4 announced that they’re coming back this year sometime in late 2020, however further announcement is still yet to be made now.
