Seeing a home team win a championship is so satisfying especially when it’s the Stanley cup
This was just an expansion team only 6 years ago....😯
Unreal is the only way I can describe it....
Борис Джонсон тип справа несёт😀
I’m glad they finished it off just like the nuggets
I agree with you. It’s more fun and happy to see them win in front of cheering fans. Home team win is awesome. Not the visiting team win.
A visiting team winning a Championship on the road sends the fans of the Home team Embarrassed and Humiliated
Phil Kessel is now a 3-time Cup Champion, without even breaking a sweat in the finals.
Kessel needs to play, and loose some fat.
2 With The Penguins🐧🖤💛 And 1 With The Golden Knights ⚔️🛡️.
Wow 😳 9 goals amazing, I'm 35 and I never going to see something like that happens again 🎉🎉🎉🎉, 1000 of congrats. 👌💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Greatest trophy in pro sports. The champions league trophy is pretty awesome too but the the Cup is just so unique and this tradition of lifting it on the ice by each player makes it better.
So men kissing a trophy's turns u on 🌈
WC, CL and most association football trophy also lifted by all registered players. It is just not the main occasion like in Stanley Cup. The only different is the trophy in association football is team possession (Team, not owner), while the proof that you win the dang thing is the medal.
Whilst in Stanley Cup, the players "Won" the trophy and the proof that you win is the name on the cup.
Pretty similar. Unlike in NBA and NFL where owners got the most credit.
@Mohar Ikram the rings are also a proof of winning Stanley Cup.
@@erickalessandro7137 Nah, rings is mostly obligation and acknowledgement that you are here when the team won. Lots of players got rings but not officially won since their name is not on the cup.
Beau Bennett, Justin Abdelkader, Antti Raanta and so on got rings but non-official winner.
Stanley cup is too heavy)
As a Bruins fan its mixed emotions seeing Cassidy win the cup next season after being fired.
Shows it wasn't coaching and comes down to how this team is put together.
As long as the Panthers didn’t win it I’m OK with it
What im thinking about seeing the Knights win it is all their orginal players from the 2017-2018 expansion team. It's reminding me of 2000 Baltimore Ravens. Guys like Ray Lewis and Johnathan Ogden live forever in Baltimore as guys who were foundational pieces, and a championship became part of that foundation
I agree, and I'm from Baltimore, Maryland. If it wasn't for these guys, we wouldn't even have one Super Bowl ring. They established the Ravens as a contender.
ravens were not an expansion team. this is like if the new Brahns won 6 years after entering the league.
TO HAVE WAYNE GRETZKY CALL THE VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS A MACHINE IN THE PLAYOFFS IS 😎 SO COOL.
MY GOLDEN MISFITS....STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS 🏆
Man I remember that very first Knights game. And this. Wow!! ❤️
As Las Vegan born & raised I’m full of pride seeing our Knights take it all! People said for decades that pro sports team would never be dumb enough to come to Las Vegas, and that if we ever did they’d never win a championship, now here it is we already have 2 Championship pro teams! The Knights and The Aces! All those negative nay-sayers that wouldn’t give Vegas a chance, how bout a huge piece of that humble pie??!!
I call myself vegish
As a Kings fan I'm super happy for Martinez! Congrats Vegas fans ya'll are an incredible team, they earned it!
Yea, Martinez put in work. I also think, at least to me, seeing quick hoist the cup, even if he wasn't the lead goalie, softens the blow that was him getting traded at the deadline.
You forgot about Quick?
@@lavans06 of course Quickie too! I meant to type that but had a brain fart apparently
Brayden McNabb is a former King too if I'm not mistaken too! 😁😁😁😁
@@FlyerHockeyPride Yea. I wasn't happy when we lost him to the draft, partially because we had already gotten weakened defensively after Voynov got sent back to Russia
Congrats to such a young team.
Wish sports media would actually cover this.
They say that hockey isn’t as sellable a sport, but it can’t grow if it isn’t presented to a wider audience.
Sports media only covers nfl and nba. Even mlb is neglected. No wonder these sports aren’t flourishing the way they should. Media coverage is killing these other sports.
What a perfect ending to win it in Las Vegas ! For all the Las Vegas natives our whole lives we always had to route for other teams . WE FINALLY have our own Las Vegas team and CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM THIS ONE IS OURS !
Really well deserved! They made it to the finals on a incredible fashion! Great team, great players! They realized how to outmuscle the Panthers and got there!
It's time for Vegas to have an NBA team now
Just a matter of time. It's gonna happen almost certainly.
Athletics are gonna relocate to Vegas, they ain't getting an NBA team anytime soon
That won't happen until lebron retires plus probably 2 years. So probably another 4 years and itll also be an expansion team
Seattle needs it more, plus yall are already getting the As
Oh I'm sure that will come in time, probably within the next 20 years...
I really hate how they do this. One guy skates around while the rest of them stand there waiting for their turn.
It looked cooler when the whole team skated with the guy holding it.
Both miami teams packed up its a good summer
So much respect to Bill Foley.
He took a gamble (pun intended) putting an ice hockey team in the desert and look at us now.
It's funny looking back at it in retrospect and hearing when all those so-called ESPN/NHL pundits claimed hockey wouldn't work here.
Ignorance is bliss. Cup in six.
Also, never forget when this team healed an entire city after 2017.
Foley took an idea created from the very dusts of this legendary town and truly gave us something Vegas Born.
Thank you again, Mr. Foley.
Gamble paid off by hoisting the Cup
Sharks fan here. Huge congratulations to the Knights. Watching the best trophy in sports presented to this well deserving team brought tears to my eyes. Only wish I could have witnessed Patty Marleau or Jumbo Joe raise the cup. Now a whole summer without hockey :(
Congrats Golden Knights had to wait 5 years later but makes it all the sweeter.
You know, it doesn't matter who you want to win. Watching the presentation of the Stanley Cup is quite an exhilarating thing to see.
Seeing it in person is something incredibly special...even when the wrong team lifts it. That said, in 2018 I did enjoy seeing Ovi finally get to lift the Cup and seeing T.J. Oshie have those moments with his father before he passed.
I like when newer teams win.
Easy to do when you're gifted a SC team from the beginning of your franchise.
@@keepingitreal940 Cry harder
@@keepingitreal940lmfao they were given bad contracts and draft picks. Florida gave them reilly smith so they would take Marchessault in the expansion draft. Minnesota gave vegas a guy so they would take alex tuch and not matt dumba. Also there were better guys available than the ones they got!
@@keepingitreal940 Way to not keep it real 🤡🤣🤣🤣
its a bad sign for the league... but they want that more franchises starts...
The NHL World Champions, the Las Vegas Golden Knights! Let's go do it again next year!!
So happy for Vegas. Loved them their first year when they were an expansion team and going all the way but couldn’t quiet win it all that year
Congratulations to the six-year-old Vegas Golden Knights franchise for completing the "Six-Year Plan" of winning Lord Stanley's Cup. I didn't see Game 5 because I switched cable packages a week ago, meaning no TNT. However, I did the next best thing by coming on RUclips to watch highlights of the game and the trophy ceremony. Great to see a new team reach greatness like this. I know this overshadows that first Finals appearance in 2018, which was a loss. But this expansion club has REALLY expanded into a champion. Kudos to everyone in the organization and the fans of Las Vegas. Now, it's on to the victory parade on the Strip.
Bruce Cassidy gets fired from the Bruins in one season, and then the next season, he wins the Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights. Amazing. CONGRATULATIONS, VEGAS, YOU'VE HIT THE JACKPOT!
The only place in the world that can't boo Gary Bettman.
They wouldn't have had the success they've had without him. He was determined to make it work there.
@@DoctorEw220He gave them a team. What else did he do to make it work there? They built the team and a first class organization.
you can tell vegas arent true hockey fans yet as they didnt boo bettman 😅
maybe thats why the nhl keeps expanding so bettman can find new markets that dont boo
impossible to name my favorite player on this year's VGK team. and that's the biggest compliment I can give.
Right, with this team you never know who will score, they'm have depth!
I'm so glad that the Golden Knights won it all but I think we were robbed of an amazing and dramatic final if it were the Boston Bruins with their new coach against the Las Vegas Golden Knights with Bruce Cassidy behind the bench. What an amazing series that would have been!
love that marchy got mvp... but man adin deserved it with all those crucial stops he made.
Betman not getting boo'd is weird.
Yeah and the whole vibe of this Cup win is just weird and odd.
The only place in the world that can't boo Gary Bettman.
The only place in the world that can't boo Gary Bettman.
This whole postseason was rigged against everybody else and toward Las Vegas that's why.
@@zanemarte9877 cry some more.
First time in a normal season that a team has won on home ice since the 2015 Blackhawks
Golden knights are number one they are a great team
This is how you do a trophy presentation. Not that NBA bullshit
as a hockey fan this is a feel good story...as it also calls back the first appearance of the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup finals(YES I am a CAPITALS fan)...congrats to Las Vegas...we will take it back in 2024(I hope)
And Chandler Stephenson has now won the Cup with both teams!
How does a city like Las Vegas have sports teams. Are there any natives there or people looking to go to casinos?
Locals hate the Vegas Strip and the stigma surrounding it. They're the ones who love the team and go to every home game. The tourists could care less about hockey, no matter what the haters might tell you
Heartiest congratulation to Vegas Golden Knights, for them to lift the iconic Stanley Cup for the first time. 👌👌👍👍
Now we're left to watch baseball now
truly a fate worse than death
@@aidenflies2711 Only soccer is worse!
Yeah, I love baseball..but it doesn't compare to hockey 👍
Jesus, get with the program and start drinking more and watching MMA.
This week world cup darts, then F1, this weekend Canada GP is on, later on Winbledon, US Open tennis etc, plenty sports left to watch 🤟🥳
Hill is my fav goalie from this year
Karlsson my favorite since day one!!
And Stephenson!
One of the absolute greatest moments of my life… watching my hometown team win the cup outside the arena in Toshiba Plaza… will cherish this FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
I was there, also.
Best party I have ever been to.
Be at Toshiba Plaza on Saturday at 9PM for our rally, bro!
The fun ain't over yet!
@@InflatableConan Ohhhhh I was there alright! Was probably 5-6 layers of people away from the stage itself? Got great views of the players now locked into photographic memory, the sight of Mark Stone lifting the cup etched into my soul, and the raining of streamers & confetti made me feel like I was in heaven.
I saw the drones too when they made the text & images in the sky, and that sent my enthusiasm through the roof!! That parade & rally was insane, and the overall size of the crowd made me feel like I was celebrating New Years… hell it might’ve been a BIGGER crowd than New Years typically is!!
Craziest, most amazing week of my life witnessing this cup win, and that parade/rally!!!
@@Steve_Hunts96
I loved how drunk Wild Bill was.. 😂
They said about 300,000 fans showed up for the parade.
And the so-called hockey pundits said ice hockey would never work in the desert.
Ignorance is bliss. Cup in six.
And my God, that surprise drone art show was literally mind-blowing.
That was hands down the best championship rally of all-time.
We're the f'n Stanley Cup Champions!
Sounds so good to say that!
From Henderson NV LOVE MY VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
I am a proud Kraken fan but this is sweet
As a Vegas fan I can say that the Seattle Kraken will be even better next year than they were this year.
Not an overly talented team. Not loaded with superstars but a team loaded with an incredible work ethic. That’s what makes a champion.
Coming from just a fan of the NHL, we need to revisit the expansion draft. There is no reason why an expansion team should even smell a cup in the first 6 years of existing. Even the kraken getting to the second round is rather ridiculous. You see teams like the red wings or coyotes who have been struggling for years, and they are just handed players. I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I just can't help but be frustrated. Either give the teams more players to protect or find another way... I just think it's just all too easy to pick good players. Have to struggle to make a good team, and I think that's what makes it so special to win. All that said, congrats, knights.
Lol the shot of Reilly Smith at 2:50 to 2:54 is shot like so perfect it looks uncanny like a music video lol
It’s nice seeing Bruce Cassidy win as a Bruins fan
I’m also happy for Stone, Whitecloud, Eichel and Reilly Smith win the Stanley Cup too
Total toll . Glückwunsch an die Golden Knights from Duisburg , Germany .👍🏆
Loved seeing Florida getting smashed congrats to the knights
Seeing Marty give the cup to Quickie was a moment! As a Kings fan, congrats VGK!!!
Not a huge fan of both Stanley finals teams this year, but I tip my hat to the Panthers to make it to the finals. A very valiant and resilient team that went through 3 teams with a combined point total of 359 points, and with only 4 loses total going through those 3 teams. I know they probably don't feel like it now, but hopefully they know how well of a job they did this postseason. Majority of people probably did not expect them to do much this postseason, let alone the unfathomable ride they actually did have!
I don’t see what your gripe with vgk could be. It’s like y’all hate on them just to hate them
congrats vegas but as a rangers fan screw Martinez
The worst team ever wins the cup
Congratulations to Vegas, first time a young team won like this since the Flyers I guess. No surprise though, when you go to the final in your first season you're due to win soon !!!
the nba and the nfl need to take notes. this is how you do a trophy ceremony
As A Blackhawks❤️🖤Fan,I Want To Congratulate The Golden Knights They Really Deserve It.
They gotta do a full skate so all the fans get to see down both ends. Congrats to Vegas though! 👍👍
Congratulations Vegas!! From a hopeful Flyers fan....you deserved it!
Stoner gettin it done, he had no voice from all the celebrating, wish he was still with the sens but its nice to see him raise the cup!
The curse is still alive the panthers full on grabbed it!
Gotta love those "Raider" hockey jerseys
First congratulations Vegas! Second what now panthers you think you can beat/good for everybody because you beat the number one team which is the Boston but not this team.
9 goals thats a statement!!! Awsome hockey team.facts
Great, great, great win to the Golden Knights of Las Vegas 2023! 😊 Champion 🏆!
Meanwhile the raiders.
Meanwhile the A's and a new ballpark.
GO KNIGHTS GO!!!
In their 4 series clinching games, Vegas outscored their opponents an unbelievable 24-6. That statistic is so mind boggling that it has to be unpresidented. In addition, in 22 playoff games Vegas had 12 players with 10 or more points and 4 players with 20 or more points. It all really staggers the imagination.
Oops, that should have been unpreCEdented (very bad spelling), the 24-6 goal differential never happening before and likely never happening again
Gary couldn’t be happier
6:39 Adin Hill has been an anchor since the series against Edmonton
How boring. At least the players are all Canadian
Happy for Smith and Cassidy but we should have kept cassidy
Hello Dorion. In the end you've made a great move for Mark. What a career! 7th round pick and now the captain of the Cup winners! Congrats Mark!
Las Vegas WINS! HOME SWEET HOME!!!
Very happy for Vegas! But what happened to your teammates skating behind you as you went around the rink? When did that go away?
They did a team victory lap shortly after where this video ends I think, they did a Whitecloud interview and let him go early to join it
“Back when,” the captain was the only one who would skate around with the Cup, and his teammates would skate behind, and they would get to hold it in the locker room. Sometime within the last two decades, that changed to each player getting a brief spin after the captain skated it around the ice.
Yeah. The great one mentioned it in the broadcast how it changed .
I wish it was the bruins receiving the cup. Congrats to all of you!!
Wow, only six years in existence, 5 times to the playoffs, and now the STANLEY CUP!!!! Awesome job Vegas!
They will probably win it againl this year watch
Go Knights Go!!! We did it!!!
Congratulations to Vegas Golden Knights 🙏🏽🔥 as a Caps fan see y’all nxt Season

Why the hell did Quick get the cup before Hill 😂😂😂😂
Major respect to a Stanley Cup phenom, much like he is himself.
That was a tremendously gracious gesture by Hill.
I watched with glee as Martinez handed off to Quick and when he handed off and went over to Hill, I said aloud, "What a classy move by Hill."

Awesome team, extremely deep and talented. Hill was the 5th goalie we used this season I believe.
Logan Thompson, Laurent Brossoit, Jonathan Quick, Jiri Patera and Adin Hill
Just imagine being buffalo or vancouver canucks 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, all the years no cups
I've always hated Vegas and watching them win gave me a sour taste in my mouth but a championship is a championship and I will give them the respect that they deserve. Regardless of what I feel about Vegas, I will always get emotional when I see Martinez handing the cup to Quick. As a life long Kings fan, (and Jonathan Quick fan in general) I am so happy to see Quick lift the cup for the 3rd time in his career, especially with how Rob Blake disrespected him by trading him away to Columbus. I will forever feel grateful for Columbus for treating Quick with respect and trade him to a team that can compete for the Cup and the odds were in Quick's favor. Congrats to Vegas, but most importantly, congrats to Jonathan Quick and Alec Martinez for winning the Stanley Cup.
Vegas someone is my favourite captain team and it’s my favourite and Las Vegas won the Stanley Cup
