  • Sequence Recording on the Behringer Pro VS Mini. I know some of you wanted to see the Sequencer working so I did a video showing the stored sequences and this time I thought I would show how you record to the Sequencer.

Thank you. First video about this synth that really teaches something. I got a bit frustrated by all those unpacking and first impressions or simply run through the presets all the others did.

Thanks for the comment I'm really trying to help, I have another video out this Thursday.

is it possible to layer different sequences in order to create a song on the go without any further gear?

@schoaskopf2 Thanks for the comment. Not that I can think of. You would need either a computer or Tablet with a DAW or something like an MPC 37 Keys or an MPC One+. You can effectively layer the sound coming from the Pro VS Mini by sending the output into the line/audio in of another device; in effect combining the sound together with what's coming from the other device.

It is possible to record more than one pattern and sound in the sequencer? I mean like the Korg Volca Bass in which u can record 3 different patterns at once in the sequencer

Thanks for the comment. As far as I can tell, it is a relatively straightforward Sequencer; you can choose Fixed Step or Record. I used Fixed Step in the video. If you choose record it just records what you play how you play to the slot you choose. It has 16 x 16 steps (16 steps by 16 slots) I don't think that you can record across slots. It would be a great feature to have; who knows maybe in a future firmware update they may choose to allow that.

It is not multitimbral so you can not have different sounds playing at one time as far I know

Why are the single notes doubling up when recording in the sequencer..? I've noticed this on several Pro Vs Minis

To be honest it's not something I've noticed. This is the first device I've had with a built in sequencer. I know it has 2 modes Record & Fixed Step. I think it defaults to Fixed Step.

I believe when you hit a note and it crosses over to the next step, instead of being tied it creates a new note. I have tried and tried, and cannot get anything usable programmed into the sequencer, and the manual is useless. Maybe a firmware update will make this right. There is no step entry that I can find, and no note velocity recorded either!

@@scottsumner6817 Hi fellow sufferer, I can't get the bugger to update, I've tried everything, makes you wonder how many other units are like this, I suppose at least the synth itself isn't affected, bit annoying though...🤔

@@MrTomb789 I tried to update mine , the first time it failed,
I hit the button again and it worked, program said something about the synth being in some mode, I assume an update mode. I guess I got lucky

@@scottsumner6817 Have you tried switching from Fixed Step to Record?. I have tried this and it seemed to work better for me. It always seems to switch back after recording though. This is the first device I have which has a sequencer, so have nothing to compare it with. I did have a play around the other day and using Record managed to get a scale recorded and it seemed o.k.
