Love the review chris!👍👍👍 i have a 2022 qashqai awd…and love it ! Especially here i Quebec are winters are crazy a times and yes winter tires are. Must ! Next car ……a rougue!!
There's another video like this, that tests the Rogue in snow. Except, in that test, they pushed it *WAY* further than what Chris is showing here. What you're showing here, Chris, isn't very challenging. In fact, a regular fwd sedan with regular tires could do what you're showing here without any problems. Now, the Rogue does happen to be *rather* good in *very* challenging conditions. In fact it's so good that I doubt that any other competitor is going to handle it much better, including the Subaru which is marketed to be the grand master overlord of 4 wheel drive. So I looked it up again. Here is that video: ruclips.net/video/kxBfvBhAuMs/видео.html So, here, they took it truly off road. The clear cut areas around high voltage electricity lines it seems. It can be clearly seen that it feeds just the correct amount of power to the rear such that you don't end up with just 2 wheels spinning. Some awd cars don't do this right, unfortunately. So where I live, we had a few heavier snow storms than usual, and one of those times I had to drive across a country road that wasn't plowed. It was absolutely incredible. We're talking really actually well over a foot of snow, perhaps 2. Might not sound spectacular, but measure from the ground along the side of the car, like 1.5-2 feet from the ground. Touching the bottom of the vehicle? A few pickup trucks drove through it, and of course, as always, people tend to drive in or toward the middle, which means that the tire tracks form in the incorrect location. The result is that when you face on oncoming car, you have to venture off those tire tracks, and now you're winging it in deep snow. With many cars, there is a high risk that the snow will grab you and pull you into the ditch. Of course, drive the speed that it calls for, but good grief, if you have to drive a bit of distance, how long is it going to take. With no oncoming traffic, you can actually get the speed up, a bit. Then when you see a car come, slow. And it was so bad, I basically nearly stopped, just in case. So with the Rogue, the combination of weight, high off the ground, really awesome beefy winter tires (and none of that all weather crap which is *NOT* as good, no matter how some might claim otherwise), and excellent and intelligent traction control system and awd system, boy oh boy, it was like there barely was any snow! It just plowed right through it like nothing was up. I didn't expect it to handle it this good. It didn't even demand it do be this good, as all I wanted was not to get stuck in some places. But when a regular road basically becomes like an off road condition after crazy dense snow and it goes unplowed, a regular car could *not* do this! A little civic *would* get stuck. Rogue? Hold my beer. It'd love to see a challenge between the Rogue and other SUVs and make a contest out of it. Noway the Subaru is going to automatically win!
Just came across this video and its just few months away before winter. Ill probably get the nissan rogue
thanks so much for watching
As they say “any car with snow tires is better than every car without them.”
good point
@@carsunlocked Noob question so forgive me; are snow tires the same as winter tires, or are those a different type of tires?
@@toonnaobi-okoye2949
There is a subtle difference, but for all intents and purposes, the terms can be used interchangeably
@@minnesotajack1 Sweet, thank you
I stay home when it snows. 😍
lol great choice

Merci thanks for watching my friend qashqais are great !
Hi may i ask what is the size of that winter tire you are using on the video ?thank you for your response
18 inch
Good information, got my rogue in March, so haven't really had it in the snow too much
Have fun!
Any off the rack winter tire will make a huge difference.
I have a 2023 Nissan Rogue and I slipped in the snow, the car is not stable in the snow at all!
snow tires my friend
What tire you have ? All season ?
If u have all season tires, trust me mate, PLEASE GET SNOW TIRES! All-season tires barely help in the snow, never in Canada.
I have 2023 alseason ..no problem
When does e-Power come to Canada?
good question probably never since the ariya just arrived
i have one i lov it
Wonder how it compares to its Mitsubishi Outlander cousin with its S-AWC.
ive never tried to mitsubishi
@@carsunlocked I was just curious. The new Outlander looks like a great competitor to this Rogue, and I hear it shares the same platform.👍
@@mrgurulittle7000 I’m not sure I’ll have to check it out where I live there is no Mitsubishi dealer
@@carsunlocked 👍

i didnt want to get stuck
@@carsunlocked Oh, live a little, lol.
Ok, so next winter, you, a Rogue and a backup tow truck just in case, 2 feet of snow. Challenge !
@@Antiorganizer that’s a great idea lmaoo
Yeah they did!! they push that shit real hard I was actually pretty surprised
how's the CVT transmission with you? thinking about getting one.. but we only have the 2.5 engine option... worried about the CVT though..
I have never had a transmission issue
CVT on 2023 is a metal chain, not a belt. No issues
Love it
Wanted to know how to turn on snow mode in the rogue.. got no info..
there is a dial behind your shifter knob
Awsome/ I don’t own a rogue- my buddy was asking- guess he didn’t know where to look.. / thanks
