Great video, thanks! I'd wait for the price to come down on the Casio Edifice as it probably will and get that one. It is more my style without the fixed bezel and has better overall dimensions (lug to lug and width) in my opinionm
I have the 35mm version of the Casio, with the white dial and if you guys think it looks good on video, wait till you see it in person! It sits so beautifully on wrist and is just gorgeous.
I was lucky to buy the citizen in Amazon Mexico for 27dls in an offer, as of today it is 120dls, although I bought the gold version with black and for my taste it is not as beautiful as the blue one but I still liked the watch a lot .
I own the edifice efv100l white face and tan strap. Love it but now I know that citizen offer a diver at under 100 I'm going to purchase. Great channel. lived loved and subbed.
00:17 Watch out! Someone is coming behind you! (Does this make Casio a... survival watch??? LOL). Btw, saw also the unboxing vid you did on Citizen and still struggle to find the Aqua Terra vibes... Funny fact, many complain for small date windows on Citizens (mostly because they're eco drives) yet they did the same mistake here! For me though Citizen is just Eco Drive, i leave their autos for nuts divers (real ones!) but love the recent hype of their 90(15/39/...) Miyota series in microbrands, i'm fed up with NH35.... Anyways, thanks for showing the blue dial of the Casio, i'm on a hunt for a good price on that and if i get it a tabac leather strap is gonna make it really nice. But then again, the white dial is far superior IMO (and always more expensive!). Keep on (did the haircut??? LOL), enjoy whatever you love.
Agreed, I have a Miyota 9132 in the back of my new Zeppelin, it's my first high-beat movement and a great price. Also getting a Miyota in the Vario Kickstarter watch that will be on the channel this month. Still have the hair!
@@the1010watchclub there are two models labeled mts, not mtp. They have saphire crystal and a battery that lasts 10 years. They come in leather strap or brazalet. I have one of those watches but i prefer the casio edifice you show in the video, i also have it.
Great review Jonah. I think the Citizen is a pure sports watch while the Casio can be worn in a more versatile manner. I have the Casio and it is gorgeous. Thank you again for your perspective.
Although there are some similarities, I think they could be used differently. On the one hand the citizen, on a rubber or steel bracelet is a sports watch. On the other hand, the edifice, on a leather strap, could be a formal one.
+1. I own the blue dial with original bracelet (brushed the shiny center bit) and the black dial one with a black leather strap. 1st one sporty for work, 2nd one dressy for off-work... :-) ( and yes there is a white dial one too, but thats not my piece of cake)
Just because a private seller on amazon listed this casio for that price does not mean that is the going rate. Its a $80 watch. You got ripped off. I like the casio more. I feel like the larger bezel and date frame on the citizen watch is in poor taste. I wish the casio had the sunburst though.
Yeah,I got this blue one on Amazon for 76€(euros), shipping included, and even though the dial does not have the sunburst effect it does have a subtle light play, and as he said in the video there's an almost "liquid"quality to the blue paint. The watch is very comfortable despite the hollow links and I love both the design and finishing of the case, that's the detail that gives you the feeling that you ripped off Casio,or many other brands are ripping off their customers charging them many times more for watches that aren't nearly as well done. Would love to get the white dial one but I can't seem to find a new one, only used ones and at a very significant mark up.
The Edifice EFV-100 looks so _clean_ compared to the Citizen (and the date ir s easier to read). If it's on sale, I think it's a no-brainer.
Great price!
@@the1010watchclub how can i buy it ?
I have the casio with black dial and it's fantastic. I paid 70 euros and it's worth it, absolutely!
Excellent review 😉
I put an oyster bracelet with rolex glide lock clasp on the edifice. Perfection in my opinion. One of the most comfortable watches I own.
I'm feeling that Citizen more. It just looks tougher although not as elegant.
The edifice it's very sporty and casual at the same time
Agreed! Thanks for watching

Thank you! In the end I wasn't able to live with the fixed bezel either. Especially because I'm already dealing with it from the last Casio I reviewed
I love both brands including Seiko, Orient and Bulova bro, however great review and you got a new subscriber here
Thank you! Welcome to the channel
I am into dressy, vintage style, so it's the Casio for me.
Me too!
I like more the Casio, so clean, the bracelet and the price. The blue is so beautiful.
I have the 35mm version of the Casio, with the white dial and if you guys think it looks good on video, wait till you see it in person! It sits so beautifully on wrist and is just gorgeous.
I have the same watch. Hope they make more three handers. Their edifice collection is a mess.

FANTASTIC deal!
@@the1010watchclub Yes. 👍👍👍
I'm sporting a AE1200 mod with orange gel added that a friend did. great comparison.
nice!
Can you weigh the watch head, without the bracelet, of the EFV?
20 mm lug to lug means that if I want to switch to a strap, I have to buy it 20 mm length, right?
Right.
I like the Casio. I just dislike having to replace the battery. Prefer solar powered or mechanical watch.
Just bought this edifice and already have the 35mm white.
nice!

Will be great proposition if casio offer sapphire..its got beautiful curves
I wonder if Casio has any sapphire crystal models?
casio do a range called casio sapphire retail around £80-100 on amazon
The Casio Edifice S-108 has sapphire . Really my style and taste

@@the1010watchclub I bought mine in August of 2020, paid $89.95, and got the black dial version. I really debated as all 3 colors are beautiful....
I think it's worth mentioning that the Casio has a screwdown crown.
Yes! 2:00

Which watch? Guess, it's going to depend on bracelet and price.
circular date frame is definitely off looking.

Casio for me every time.......
After having the Casio in hand I agree on this one
Show the mecanism to!
50 METERS LUG TO LUG???? That's a little to much for me personally.
It's for a cruise ship bow!
ill wait for the price to drop or come on sale.
I don't blame you, $75 would be a great price if it ever gets back down that low
@@the1010watchclub yup, wait for a sale and/or hype to die down :)
I just hate watches with fixed dive bezels that's just like having a subdial with a fixed hand
Casio ok
