This is my second time here. I really enjoy your laid-back, no weenies presentation.
It's clear, concise, and to the darn point. Thank you my friend. You are a friend that shares indeed.
~Cheers, buddy-boy
P.S. - @ 2:00 you got butter fingers...hee hee
Great video. Feels like an incremental upgrade from plus to pro but didn’t know the plus was only 2.5ghz only bit of a shocker! Thanks for taking the time to line them up.
I had the battery doorbell plus was wondering why it couldn’t connect to 5g signal! Now I am going to use ring pro(ring wired plus)
GREAT video Sir. Thanks for taking the time to do it. You are appreciated.
You're very welcome!
These are old ring doorbells apparently tgey released two new doorbells this year , one was released in Feb the other in August
You did a great job comparing them. Nice video.
Thank you! Very helpful video.
Glad to hear that!
How long battery last I’m thinking to buy plus version any recommendations
What they don't tell you.
To review recordings after the trial period requires a subscription.
If you are paying the subscription you may as well turn up the sensitivity do nothing is missing, no jumps/people disappearing.
Once you turn up sensitivity the battery life is greatly decreased, so needs charging more often.
To charge it means unscrewing the unit and bringing it indoors to charge for 6hours or more, during that time there's no doorbell, pretty stupid.
Why did they opt to change the battery to be non removable?
The batteries are removable on the new ones. On the old model the entire unit was attached to a mounting bracket so you don’t have to unscrew it every time. It just easily pops off.
@@AdeptusChaoticus the problem with that is that a thief could pilfer the battery 😕
Just buy multiple batteries. And it's better it's not easy to take out for tampering.
@@imanilwilliams that was the original plan, discovered the version I have, the battery is non removable. A bit of fine tuning the settings and the official solar panel, the battery can last well over a month - better than it was.
I don't think the affiliate links are working anymore.
great video, thanks. this helped me make my decision on which one to choose
I don't understand what you mean by "this one the battery pops out, the other one you have to take the whole unit off to charge for 6 hours so I could be missing stuff"....if the batteries are out then both are missing stuff cuz that means there's no power...unless you mean you have it wired to the door also
With the removable battery versions, you can have a spare battery. When the battery gets low, you just swap them over and charge the low one.
The doorbell will miss about 30 secs, but you'll be there the whole time. So you basically don't miss a thing if you have a spare battery.
You don't get this option if the battery isn't removable, which I think is a terrible, backwards move by Ring.
I always wanted to see the top of my trees on a video doorbell. Visit the next psychiatrist
Green doorbell generation two versus generation four
I don't understand why Ring would take a step backwards and remove the removable battery.
Having to take the whole doorbell down for the charge is a terrible idea for numerous reasons.
Is it an attempt to push people to buy the more expensive versions? 🤷🏻♂️
It just doesn't make any sense. With a removable battery, you can have a spare battery and never miss a moment.
What were they thinking? 🤦🏻♂️
exactly!!
The one thing I don't like on the new ring doorbell compared to my old one is the fish eye view it displays, it's ridiculous! I understand they do that for a wider view, but that's BS because my 2nd gen basic has a very big full range with absolutely no distortion. Not just that, but the pro version displays everything too far away, making it very hard to make out someone face. Overall, I think the Plus version is the best, but like I stated, the fish eye distorts everything which defeats the purpose of identifying someone who might be standing to the side of the camera. It's for this reason why I don't buy the new version. Sorry, but it's a hard pass!
Thanks for explaining that. I was thinking about upgrading from the plus to the pro, but I don't know. What do you think about the 3D motion detection and preroll features?
@@imanilwilliams In my opinion, you’re better of setting the motion to how you need it and forget 3D motion, I think it's nothing more than another gimmick, just sayin'.
Will it ring your existing door bell chime if the wires are connected???
the plus i know for sure does but you have to enable it in the app, its disabled by default.
yes
Thanks mine the first best dad ever 🥇🥇🥇
Mm. Do you think birds eye is gimmicky???
Bump this comment, looking at plus vs pro
@@PakZa808 so I bought the plus. It’s definitely an improvement over the first battery ring. Better clarity. The ring itself works the same.
no, I like it alot, but is it worth the extra expense, the pro models are alot more expesive so it comes down is it worth the extra expense. if you have a problem with people around your house then I would say yes. it does give you a quick look of everywhere that person has been but each device needs the birds eye view.
@@justadadtips Great information. Thanks for coming back with a reply.
How often do you charge the battery
I charge mine about once a week I can get longer just depends on traffic moving past triggering the motion detection
Great video!
Thanks for the visit
Great video
Thanks for the visit
Original I liked best, battery lasted 2 times longer, image looks great, and never had issues in 4 years.
Pro already broke after 6 months
if I have to charge a battery, that's basically a no go
Do you hear the doorbell in your home?
It rings on your phone
