Can you do a video on how pointers work in game maker? I was recently testing saving a loading and I am currently using Shaun spalding’s battle system. Though whenever I load the game (this game uses your save system lol) battles will crash because certain functions are set to pointers rather than the actual function. I’ve tried to research everything I could about them and ultimately came up with the is_ptr and ptr functions as well as “there’s not a whole lot you can do with them”.
Oh dang that's cool! I've never played it, but want to at some point. That was part of the reason I also made sure I could still plug in an external controller if i needed to
I completely missed this and just happened upon the comment LOL but YES! I actually commented on one of your videos before I made this! Happening on your builds actually sort of inspired me to give it a shot again after all these years!
My gamer prime was absolutely the N64. Also in that era the PS1 and 2 were the other major consoles of my gamer prime (like 8-13 years old). Also had a NES, Genesis, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, and finally a PC which meant I didn't buy any consoles until 2024 when I just bought a Switch.
He's not only the best GameMaker teacher, he's an epic gamer as well !
Who ME?? 😎
THAT IS SO COOL ACTUALLY
DAMN
THANKS!!
I like how you made a thirty eight minute video and was like "oh it's cool you don't have to watch." Now it's gotta be watched
Now this is something different!
Looks cool!

Dang Peyton! Great job with this one!
this is actually so cool-
You'll never play perfect dark 64 as those buttons are needed to tell your AI bots to do things.
