My Like Mike 2 review: No disrespect S&S, this was just my take/review to add to your review of this release. Some of the feedback questions from others: If the lock is not fully engaged, yes, the bow string will not be held fully and will cause a premature release of the arrow. Pretty basic fix, ensure that the hook is moved to the closed position and then lock the Like Mike lever and you will hear it click. Verify lockup on your next arrow to make sure that it is fully locked. (been there!) I am still using the factory tension of the trigger. Have to say that this thing really does a great job of a tension release and I really like the pull through of the shots. Yes, you can still punch it if you want. The pull through, crisp release and adjustability and I wanted to stay with a finger release is what sold me on this carter release. I would put this release, yes expensive, against some of the other higher priced tension or thumb releases out there depending on your shooting style. The pull through is amazing.
I love the release but why do they put the index finger so far behind the head. Most people want max draw length and this puts the head so much further ahead then other brands
The adjustment high tension if it works as described would be awesome in learning to PULL THRU THE SHOT and not setting it light so as to be able to punch it. 99% of trigger users DO NOT have the discipline to not punch instead of using one correctly. They can be set up and used to act just like any hinge or thumb. Something beginners can do is put a regular bandaid on the inside of the index finger to help distort the feeling. Then hook the finger over the trigger and pull thru the shot. It should fire when you aren't aware.
Hi just got this release. It went of mid draw first time using it..also just tried pulling back on my d loop and sure enough it broke with very little pressure and sometimes it just seemed like it was slipping off D loop. Are those known issues with this release ?

That does not sound normal. I would definitely reach out to Carter. They have great customer service!
As a target archer I like the original way better
