Before buying, I ALWAYS put it on my skin an wear it for 8 hours -on two separate days. The dry-down is ultimately what you are buying, so that's what you have to judge it by.
That's what I did last time, and I was happy that I did it. I heared many great things about Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male. And I also very liked it in the first minutes, pear and super sweet etc. But the drydown was only vanilla and I realized I don't want it in the end. I will continue doing this for sure
I like Victory. I’m 48 but my wife says I’m immature so I guess it fits 🤣. In the opening especially and later still I smell root beer. Does anyone else get that root beer foam vibe also??
Yeah I agree. It is a pleasant enough scent. I think an 8 is pretty generous. :) I’d give it a 7 and would be happy to have it in my collection to wear on a day. :)
I'm around the same age as Aaron and for me I like fragrances of all ages I mean I like sweet and juvenile fragrances and I also like the older more sophisticated fragrances for me it's just I have this mindset where I ask myself oh do I like this scent and that's basically it for me if I like the smell I'll purchase it
I have to say this fragrance is really good. I got gifted it for my birthday. I was sceptical at first but was really impressed from the first wearing. I'm well and truely out of the age group to be wearing this but I'm still going to rock it.
Between this and Armani Code Absolu, I love Armani Code Absolu more. Now I know that you have a change of mind with Armani Code Absolu on the drydown but I find it particularly delightful. Hopefully, you would do another re-reviewing on Armani Code Absolu as well.
I haven't smelled this and likely won't as I'm not a teenager or historically a fan of Paco Rabanne, however, I must say I'm very surprised at this review and appreciate the blank-slate unbiased approach to your reviews. That's why I keep coming back.
I'm not a fan of paco rabanne either. This is the only fragrance from them I really like. You should definitely give it a try if you haven't sometime. It's worth buying imo

This was my first fragrance I bought a couple of months ago. I just loved how clean and not overly sweet it smelled, just perfect for a date night fragrance, with that bit of freshness and cleanness it has I think you can even dress a bit smarter than for a casual date.

Honestly I thought Phantom (the robot one) just smelled like a vanilla version of this, which is more dark and chocolatey. I don’t like either one. I would tell people to not buy Victory and try Daddy instead.

Perfect review. The problem with claiming that this one is juvenile and for the 18-26 crowd is that the same ting is being said about EVERYTHING hitting the market anymore. Everything is "sweet, fresh, clean, and spicy". There isn't anything that isn't for the most part, unless you go over into the blue lines, and then everything smells like laundry detergent.
It's funny you say you think victory would make a good starter fragrance because this early spring is when I started my fragrance journey and me and my wife both loved this one so I bought it at Macy's. I'm 34 and can see what you mean about the immaturity about it but I'm more youthful and playful so maybe thats why it works for me. I'm actually glad I bought this as my first one while it was still cool out because I got to experience firsthand why you don't wear darker, sweeter and more warm fragrances in the hotter months because I did notice the sweetness and vanilla really sang when it got warmer and it was too much lol Had I known what I know now, I think I would've put my money elsewhere to fill the spot that this fragrance is for but I do still like it. It's a good one to check out

I’m wearing White in Black today and yes, it’s very close to Layton. I think it’s Lalique sort of getting back at Parfums de Marly for Galloway being really similar to Lalique White.

I'd love to see what you think of Antaeus by Chanel. I know Kouros is one of your first fragrances and it holds a special place in your heart! Antaeus is basically Chanel's version of the same "powerhouse" DNA that Kouros uses. I think you'll love it. It's brilliant, one of my favourites.
I tried this in the shop along with Azzaro the most wanted perfume & bleu noir narciso rodriguez. Invictus Victory insanely long lasting on my skin and the projection is very strong compared to the other two. But I think i'll skip it. It's not that it smells bad, it's just that there's no wow factor in the scent that makes me want to buy it. This is the type of fragrance that will prick your nose if you spray too much. I don't know how to explain it, but there are perfumes that are masculine like TDH or DH2020 but still soft on the noses of those around who smell them.

Dear Aaron, do you plan on relasing/reformulating Deviant again? I really enjoy my bottle. The opening is so nice my only slight gripe with it is that the strong leather note soon drowns out the other components. A re-relase with a bit less leathery power would be so so appeciated. best regards

Vanilla caviar is a reference to the seeds in a vanilla pod, which are known as caviar because they look a bit like actual caviar (sturgeon eggs)

I would second that request, I'm convinced he's deleted some great videos.
We removed some origional ones with poor sound and video quality. I will be refilming them this month.
Try to smell the robot perfume(Phantom ) again, after maceration its totally different trust me.

I prefer the dry down to the initial scent. It lingers and stays on for days if sprayed on your clothes.
