I never thought I'd make it here, but bring on the bots. The umps just keep getting worse and worse at seeing the zone, to the point that JOBS become affected based on how well you can fool them (I.e. "framing"). Nuts.
The ONLY thing that ever gave me pause on automated strike zones is this: East-West is simple enough to trust the technology, as the plate is fixed, right there. But I've never heard anyone even ADDRESS the *North-South-(Judge-Altuve)-of it all*, so to speak.
Does anyone have anything on how they account for height? Can anyone see my point about that? It's SUPPOSED to matter. A belt-high pitch to Judge is up in Altuve's cheating-little-non-MVP-chinny-chin-chin.

It's not that batters or pitchers don't get the calls, that's part of baseball until we get electronic balls and strikes. It's the fact that umpires are so thin skinned nowadays and quick to eject players/coaches even if they're not being "shown up". Remember, Boone got thrown out recently because a spectator yelled at the umpire. Good umpiring is a when no on notice them doing their jobs.

This is why I respect you Judge. Clearly it was a BALL. Umps making punk ass move ejecting him when his back turned. Umpires have always been shitty and sensitive. Don't let umps get to you, boo. Keep fueling and grinding. LFG Yanks

For his first ejection, he got jobbed. At least, make it worthwhile. I suppose he didn’t know how to do it correctly
