Dante, Diego, Justin, Cory, Rahsaan, Charon : if you're reading this, know that what you are doing isnt just for the kids. I am older than some of you and take a huge amount of peace from seeing you at the races, from seeing other people of color out there, striving to be the best versions of themselves without tearing other people down to do it. Need more of that in the world!
come ride with them in LA end of Jan in Long Beach CA, Last weekend in Jan All Meet Gala Event
#facts
for real dude! I met Justin Williams at Birmingham hammerfest earlier this year (2022) and that was the most lit moment of my life. racing at the same race as my hero (albeit in a lower category 😂) and getting to meet him afterwards. shit means a lot to me
💯
💯 PERFECTLY SAID.
Cycling didn't save him, he's saving cycling, he's an inspiration a whole new generation to get involved in this beautiful sport
Cycling has changed my life for the good and continues to change my life and me as I evolve as a man both physically and spiritually. I am 55 years old and I've been riding since I was a young boy. I feel I owe it to the sport/discipline to keep evolving in positive ways....anything less would be a disservice. Thank you Mr. Young for today's motivation.
The cinematography on this one!!! OMG, next level!
I love this video. Beautiful story.
Small world. Peace and blessings.
Motivate the younger generation????!!!! Shucks, Im 60 and this video motivated the heck out of me. WOW!!!! Outstanding.
Get it Dante!
Dante and the Williams brothers are definitely a big influence as to why me and the team ride and race.
He definitely did, seeing him confirmed me to continue riding road bikes for sure
Dante is the reason why I started biking again!
It is very lucky to grow up in the community with a role model like him. When I was young, no one around me could guide me on the right path, so I understood the meaning of this role more. I'm planning to open a bike shop that I hope will change the lives of some other young people.
So many messages in this, dont even know where to start... soooo good.
This video screams Socal vibes, being a younging with a bike THIS IS LOVE BRO !!!
Hell yeah Dante! Very cool story and a true pioneer of the sport!
Great shout-out to Massan & Emi. Much respect to the forefathers of city cycling.
Crazy that any sport should be dominated by any race - nice to see these guys shine
damn I literally grew up in the same bike shop with Dante seeing him go from where he was to this is fucking nuts. Making Fix Fixie hella proud
Keep it up Te .. keep pushing and inspiring
Thank you Dante! You have been one of the greatest role models for me! I hope to someday ride with you!
Rubber side down!🚴🏿♂
Amazing story! This is so much more interesting and inspiring than doing an interview/highlight of a world tour rider. Thanks Canyon.
Dante is awesome! I first saw him in a video with Safa Brian and watching him just disappear in the distance in front of Brian who was pedaling over 1,600 watts just floored me. And this was after a 45 minute training ride where they were mostly maintaining 30-40 MPH the whole time. Makes me wish I had seen people like him in my youth because now I’ve wasted too much of my life to ever reach anything like that level, but it sure has inspired me to take my health and fitness seriously today. This dude changes people’s lives for the better. What an inspiration!
👆DM me on Telegram you won💝
I love road cycling. I come from a similar background and I can really relate to Dante. I've seen clips of him on RUclips but really didn't know who he was. This video is such an inspiration to me because it was kinda like looking in the mirror. I can feel his passion and drive. In Miami where I'm from road cycling isn't a thing in the hood. You either sold dope, played football or basketball, but cycling was considered a white thing. We as black people tend to change the dynamic and the narrative of any sport we choose to enter. Although it's not about race, it opens our minds to different possibilities and perspectives of the youth. This video was epic. Ride on brother. 🚴🏿♂️💯💪🏾
Let's make cycling an environment for all! 🚴
@@rafaelseer Yes sir 100% agree!
Love this so much! Go Dante GO!!
Dante 🙌🏽🙌🏽Way to go bro! Keep up the work.
Dante is a winner, period. God bless all of you that are making it happens. I hope other Dantes and other Canyons do the same for the needy communities and special for color people. Brazil love you guys, time to come here (Dante and Canyon 😅)
Thank you Dante! You’ve been inspiring and changing lives by following what you love. Hope to see you all soon on the saddle.
That intro... :OOOOO Amazing, inspiring movie! Keep doing it
Unfassbar gut gemachtes Video und sehr inspirierender Dude.
Such a powerful story. 💪🏼
I've always admired black athletes and wonder why there weren't many in the sport of cycling. I assume it just came down to culture and the sports you were raised up around. Black athletes are genetically gifted in so many ways that whenever I see them compete in "non-black sports", they always do extremely well. Being a casual to moderate cyclist myself, seeing someone like Dante is like a breath of fresh air. Humble, extremely talented and an inspiration for many.
Seeing Dante out there killing it makes you feel like you belong riding not too many black and Latino cyclists doing it on this level thank you from all of us!
Thank you for motivation! I’m 17 years old and I have problems with my knee, so I’m not riding bike. But I will! Good luck everyone! Hello from Ukraine
This was a brilliant story, Dante seems like the type of legend we need here in South Africa, wish we could get more people to know about him locally. Man, love this dude.... - Guardian Outdoors.
A bike enables you to see the world out of a hole new Perspektive!!!
wow what a story and what a video. Very well done
Outstanding.
I raced in the beginning with Dante. Cat 5! I noticed his passion than. Congrats my dude. The sky’s the limit 👊🏼
Keep Pedaling and pushing the boundaries. Thanks for sharing your perspective and inspiring the sport to grow.
Continue being an inspiration. Don’t know Jericho but I’m guarantee he’s proud of you. You work hard you can accomplish anything
This is awesome. Dante is super cool, down to earth and incredibly humble. Glad to see him and many other men of color being recognized for their talents and efforts!!
Dam to see where this kid is now!! That’s some wild ass shit!! You have grown so much Dante!! Keep pushing!! Live To Ride Ride To Live!
Great! this is so inspiring as MVDP win on Strade Bianche. I stayed clean during my youth thanks to bikes as well.
A very inspirational story! Well filmed and edited
Well done! Exposure is key. Much support from Tokyo.

Крутая работа 👍🏽🎥🎬
so sick, so proud of you, Dante! and so glad we got to meet in LA 2 years ago when I first started cycling.
way to produce proper ultrawide content!
This dude inspires me a lot! He’s a legend 🙌🏽
DOPE!
Yeah man. Canyon your turning into the right direction. no colour matters - but minorities in cycling should be supported when the effort , the will and the talent is there but the connection is limited!
What a Beautiful Story, As Queens Kid…. 6:35 Def hit home
Cycling really is a great sport. Even if you aren't in peak physical shape, you can hop on a bike, go on an adventure, and clear your head.
The exact reason why I bought a hardtail in 2015; to just go and explore.
OH SHIT I REMEMBER SEEING THIS GUY FILMING IN THAT TUNNEL!!! I didn’t know it was for this!!! 0:42
Cool vid. I just started cycling and i 💘 love it. It has become a serious passion. Thanks for the inspiring motivation.
"I believe champions are made and not born."
This dude is a monster
Woooow!
When I saw the SAFA Brian video on PCH I was like, "Hey, I've been there!" Then when I continued watching the video HE NEVER STOPPED PEDALING throughout the whole video! It was a raw 30-40 minute video that just kept going! Incredible power and endurance! I'm an immediate fan!
I seen the decent video with dante an safa.....beast made
Man, Ya'll just motivated me.. I'm an ex D1 college soccer player. I can make a lot of power of out my legs. I need to work on some flexibility things and get myself right, but I'd like to dive into another hobby. I don't halfway do things.
If I had a dollar for everytime I've heard a D1 athlete brag about being a d1 athlete...
Loved it!!
🙌🙌
Dude We need more of this! Cycling is huge in my city. A lot of "hood" kids buying fixed gears and 26" BMX cruisers! But a lot of adult people are mad and angry trying to criminalize these youth who are actually outside physically doing something with themselves. Yeah, they can act rude and ride in city traffic but what it really criminal is the fact that our infrastructure is built in the 1940s, my city's population has shot up 10 TIMES since then! We interface with deadly consequential automotive traffic on a daily basis! Street brawls and destroyed private property happen because of the toxic driving behaviors! The county supervisor representing my area was killed by car on a crosswalk my kids and I walk through all the time!!! Fixed gear bikes have been a hit with the youth in my hometown for over 15 years and you don't see any of the local high schools with Cycling clubs or anything of that nature. The Amgen Tour of California rides through my town annually and we have nothing to show forth in adequate bike infrastructure. Its sad to think that the same streets Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan have competed on are the same streets drivers have almost killed me on....
make more track bikes canyon
Lets goooooooooooo
Thanks
I’m here from instagram for the give away I don’t really know what he means but this is sick
Be a good dude, ride your bike like a boss, and you will inspire ALL people of ALL colors. Keep aiming HIGH
Donte has inspired me to become a cyclist .💯
I'm buying a Canyon
lets go
✊🏽❤️🖤💚
Nice
I love this! I wish instead of spending trillions on nuclear missiles, bombs, aircraft carriers and all other weapons of deaths, leaders used that money and invested in bikes and cycling programs for kids especially disadvantaged kids. I can see it now - cycling programs and bikes for all disadvantaged kids including Indigenous kids here across remote Australia! Imagine...in a generation or 2 humanity would be very different! "You may think that I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one!"
💪🏾💪🏾
Cool video and neat story. It's too bad people have forgotten about Martin Luther King's dream where people would be judged by their character and merit and not skin color. Focusing on skin color sure is in vogue in the 2020's!
saw him in one of the SAFA Brian's video.
Donte, shout to your older sister!!
Is Sam Pilgrim going to announce on 4th January that he is being sponsored by Canyon?
What’s the name of the song starting at 07:10 of the video? I would love to play it on my hard intervals on the bike!
Lighter by ZI. I am not sure if it's on streaming sites though. It's on musicbed, a site with music for filmmakers/video production
Dann bin ich doch nicht der einzige der sein zu teures Rennrad mit Turnschuhen fährt
thanks to safa, Because make me know you
you are best cyclist in my life
you are good
Proud is an understatement
Wow
Awe. Some.
