The state troopers in Connecticut take their cruisers home and are allowed to cross state lines as their personal vehicles. Within certain limits of course.
But Miami-Dade County have some great guys. A few of their officers kept me from passing out at Disney world. Just dehydrated nothing serious. You'd think as an EMT, I'd know better

Hawaii actually does have state police. They are called the Hawaii State Sheriffs. But they are a pretty rare sight so I get why they aren’t in this video
I like the Vermont green. Florida pays homage to its own greenery by way of county sheriffs' deputies' uniforms being a forest green as well (higher-ranking members wear white shirts, but the green pants remain.) Vehicles typically include green in their color schemes as well.
Fun fact: New Mexico license plates are the only ones to have USA on them. This is because many folks don’t know New Mexico is an actual state in the US. Being a native here, I always have people ask why do you live in Mexico, or how is your English so good. Lol
The car shown for Ohio is not for the State Highway Patrol. Same color but totally different markings. The one shown here is for a different division - State Police officer which is a small branch charged with patrolling state grounds, state capital, and at some events like state fairs
In the sixties, the first governor of Hawaii tried to establish a State Police unit but was voted down by the state legislature. California went to the Charger after Ford increased the price of the Explorer Police Interceptor.
On bottom of the license plates for Washington State Patrol vehicles, it says “Service With Humility” instead of “The Evergreen State.” I personally think it’s a nice little touch that pays respect to the very people who put their own safety at risk to protect everyone else on the road.
Most of the states have simplified their decals on their state police/highway patrol vehicles now. They also have the State Trooper or State Police letters on the front fender. Great compilation!
Mmm. Florida’s will always be my top favorite, even more so than my home state haha. Those black and tan graphics are unmistakable, and it looks especially intimidating with those wrap around push bars. I’m also a huge fan of their newer Federal Signal-based lighting packages, when they switched back to all blue lights. Everything about their cars is perfect to me.
7:42 anyone that drives through VA regularly on the interstate has nightmares about that silhouette. Just get in the right lane and set speed control. Trust me.

Actually the WV State Police care that they showed in the video was actually filmed in the Health department parking lot in Ranson WV.. The WV State police department is right behind the Health Department in Ranson WV.
I Live in WV I actually grew up In Centerville Virginia only because my dad Worked for the FBI in Washington DC Hoover building. My dad was an FBI Special Agent !! Than after that he got a job with the CIA!! In Langley VA!!
There's actually a weird thing about Rhode Island. Rhode Island patrol cars are all different, you'd see a Crown Victoria, the last model of a Crown Victoria, a Mustang, a Chevy, Ford Dodge. It's literally confusing for the police departments to tell which cars is which during patrol routes, so that needs to get off the list.
Rare to see a ford for Colorado State Patrol, usually every one you see is a new Dodge Charger. Occasionally you see a Tahoe. In the late 90s they used to use Camaros it was cool.
All of the modern liveries were amazing. I hated the all gray liveries, so ugly and repetitive, but other than that the ones I liked most were Georgia, Alaska, West Virginia, Wyoming, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Vermont, New York, California, Tennessee, Montana, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Michigan, Maine, New Mexico, Florida, and New Jersey. Sorry but there is nothing cooler than a blacked-out PPV Tahoe. That Idaho State Police Tahoe is probably my favorite out of all of them. That said, I can't wait to see the newly-redesigned Tahoe PPVs get into the hands of police departments around the country. Yes the chargers are scary and most common but I’ve also seen the Tahoe’s and some pickup trucks too, those will catch ya off guard!
