An Abercrombie & Fitch Weekend in the Country
'Pack everything I own that shoots' - always loved that line.
I wish whoever had filmed this has shown more of the ensemble when necessary instead of being so obsessed with Mo Brady
Exactly, lol. Nothing more idiotic than focusing on one guy while someone else is singing, but is kept out of the camera's view.
@@waldolydecker8118 Mo luck with the next video.
Maybe it was his mom.
@@janetd443More like HIS ‘mo…
Kyle dean Massey is freaking awesome and totally adorable!!
I would love to see who they would've chosen for Desiree' for this production.
i'm gonna need this as a movie
How can they work out and sing at the same time!? Oh my~
kyles adorableness and sass i just cannot
I've only been waiting 3 decades to see this done 'gay' - so GREAT! lol
We should get the entire show backwards like they did with Company.
I stumbled upon this and thought it was hilarious! Thanks for posting. :)
What fun! One of my favorite sequences from one of my favorite musicals, & very well sung & acted. Daniel Breaker is so fantastic, & should play Count Magnus for real (has he?). Going by the film of PASSING STRANGE, he seems absolutely to be heading f. big stardom. (Also saw a little clip of him in a master class w. Barbara Cook--so cute.)
THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH!!!! I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD UPLOAD THIS!!!
gerry wilson this reminds me--why i don't know--of tom bergeron askin peter marshall during game show week is this the first time you've done hollywood squares in long pants
This is so good!
Charlotte's role is written low for a woman--the necessary zing in the lines would not come across if a sung an octave below the written part. I think Mo Brady does an amazing job singing it at pitch.
I'm just assuming this number inspired Matthew Lopez to write 'the Inheritance'
Very amusing!
Something about Mo in this is incredible(:
Oh how I miss New York
😪
This works so much better as a gay story :-)
Absolutely
Oh, had I wished for anything else at that moment, I would've gotten it too! I love this ever so much! It has made my decade! I just wish that The Count Charlie Malcolm didn't sound do, well, shrewish. Ah, well... ;)
I have to send a weekend in the country know
How cute is he in those shorts?!
Now I wanna see Daniel Breaker as Carl-Magnus, ahah. Anything would be better than Shrek the Musical.
Well, it's rather complicated.
look up the wiki entry for A Little Night Music. This song ends Act I.
I love this! Not only the song but also the "gay" version!
What happened to having personality, presence and humor. Everyone on Broadway today is so technical, but not appealing or star quality.
Saw Andre deshields last night. He must be close to 80, but still has it. Natural movements and voice and HUMOR.
Because you can't "learn" star quality. You can learn everything else, but you can't "learn" to make the audience love you before you open your mouth: think Gwen Verdun or if you're old enough Josephine Baker.
They're hot, fit men working on Broadway. I think it's part of the required skill set
Happy Birthday it's your present!
You haven't been getting out nearly enough!
Would be great, if you could actually see it
Funny as hell
What is this about? It looks pretty cool anyway but could someone explain it to me? :)
It’s from a Little Night Music, and this song ends Act 1. Search up the wiki.
Ward!
😊
Who is the guy on the right in the first scene?
Kyle DEan Massey
What a shame none of them understand the comedy of the piece. There's no irony or subtext behind any of the lyrics, just "blah blah blah" from a bunch of pretty boys.
They've all got great voices but it's astounding how they are all so generic and sound the same and in some cases even look virtually indistinguishable...
It comes from training to be in a chorus. All dancers sound basically the same.
why are they all in like a gym lol
now*
So?
Cute guys.
with the name Broadway Backward, I was expecting the gender roles to be reversed. Now THAT would have been funny.
So that could be interesting too but traditionally it’s made to be gay love stories
After viewing ,"A Weekend in the Country - backwards", Seth Rudetsky fell over backwards. Actually he suffered an apoplectic fit (thankfully brief) followed by an episode (also thankfully brief) of risus sardonicus. Full lasting remission followed. This is how it went down. Rudetsky, as a kindness, offered his unique exegetical, interpretive, deconstructive powers to this piece of musical theater - his analysis of the original/canonical version of "A Weekend in the Country": has/had been much acclaimed. The best reasoning advanced to date to explain the - we will refer it to his abreaction - on his viewing of A Weekend Backwards was his ability to see the musical theater at so many levels, led to a cognitive emotional dissonance ...Well no sequelae and Seth gave the brava thumbs up, or maybe it was the last myoclonus jerk?
Oh Mary! Not good.
COULD USE A TRANSLATION OF THESE GARBLED LYRICS!
