  • I survived the spiciest Indian fried chicken at Rowdy Rooster, a casual Indian fast food restaurant in New York City. Rowdy Rooster was run by Unapologetic Foods, the same team behind the much-famed Dhamaka, Adda, and Semma.
    The food here generally is quite spicy and there are five different spicy levels to choose from, for most people, the third level is already extremely spicy. I tried both the third level and the fifth level, the spicest level that most people dare not to venture on.

    Cheers to you trying the highest spice level! I only had the third level and that was still pretty spicy!

      Haha, yes, it was quite spicy, but I do think I can handle the 3rd tier pretty well. But the 5th tier, oh man, I would not recommend it 😂

    “Um!” I almost want to count how many times he says “um!” I’ll bet it’s after every single bite. Funny.

    following you since more than an year, love your reviews. Did you see any flavour change with different types of chillis?

    • @Fufski
      @Fufski  Год назад

      Thanks! The flavor didn't really change, it's just way more chili powder. In this case, it's pure capsaicin built up that resulted in the burning sensation. In fact spicy isn't a taste or flavor, it is the pain caused by the burn, but usually in small amounts.
      Also, one thing with the spicy level here is that it builds up in your stomach after you swallow it (with water or not), which is far more lasting and uncomfortable. I didn't fall asleep until 4 am that night because of the afterburn in my stomach.

    The level 3 there is a good amount of heat for me. I can do 4 for the sandwich. 5 is absurd.

      Yes, level 5 is pretty insane, I probably won't try it again.

    How many restaurants in total does Chef Pandya have?

    • @Fufski
      @Fufski  11 месяцев назад +2

      He is part of the Unapologetic Food company which owns several restaurants. The company is also opening up new restaurants but idk about how much stake he has in those, hence I can't say what exactly counted as he owns.

    What I want to know is what happened the next day in the morning.

      Nothing happened, no explosion, no nothing, but the afterburn in my stomach from those spices was so bad I couldn't fall asleep until 4 am.

      They still have 5 levels, I went there two weeks ago.
