When it's october and we have the Halloween event in game, you can que into a dungeon where you kill the Headless Horseman. He gives you a box that can drop it. You can only do it once a day per character, tho. Similar to the Big Love Rocket.
I did got it too lol, i always did my tanaan dailies because i had nothing better to do during summer break beside raiding 2 days a week so i figurered why not.

I know this comment is about a month old, but fuck me too, i've been farming ashes of alar since i started playing and it hasn't dropped, my friends promised me that they wouldn't roll if it dropped because i've been farming it for years. They only do the raid with me so.... yeah
I love the Azure Netherwing Drake. It was my first epic flying mount, and I remember how long the rep grind was. Also the Phosphorescent Stone Drake. I got so incredibly lucky finding it right after Cataclysm came out.
@Emma Sabourin I think it was kinda in the bag, if you played after WOD was over, and you still wanted dreanor flying unlocked. You would need to grind Tannan Jungle anyway, and where else do you spend your crystals - that's right, absolutely nothing except the mount. Because when I grinded all three Tannan reps, and got my flying unlocked during the legion expansion, I only had to do like two more dailies to have enough to but the mount.
Honestly I rode my Frostbrood Vanquisher everywhere for the longest time, but there is one mount I always find myself defaulting to whenever I play. The Red Flying Cloud is such a simple disc with white smoke coming out the bottom, but as soon as I entered Eye of Eternity back in the day and saw the floating wizards doing their disco shit up in the sky, I knew that one day too I would ride and dance atop my disco disk.
Please don't hate me but after years of farming this mount; on my ally main the headless horseman mount dropped this year for me on the first day of Hallows End. Sorry!
Mirimon's head is my favorite flying mount, You have to kill an old god to get it. Ulduar is a ton of fun to run even 50K times. There is so much content to the raid already, there's a legendary, there are pets now, and some really cool looking gear, not to mention the huge amount of lore to the place, Bt the reason I went there was for the mount. It's a very unique looking helicopter with a cannon in its mouth, and its one of the things a character rides around in the game. It has a good memory associated for me too, because I ran it with my guildies, and the mount dropped with like 10 people in the raid, everyone passed on it, cause they knew how badly I wanted it.
I love all these mounts but my favorite is no doubt the Long Forgotten Hippogryph. It’s just. Really pretty and it was such a crazy thing to find out about and I was so happy getting it on my first try. The best and most rewarding part for me is that I decided to go for it just a few days after the very first finder announced it. There were so many people competing for it that day. I’m so lucky to have been the first to get it during that literally horrible race for it. Also the “cutscene” was pretty cool.

Invincible, 100%. I love the lore of it; & riding around on the Lich King's personal steed is pretty satisfying. After around three years of farming on & off, I got it last year on a run I did out of pure boredom - for once without the intention of having a stab at the drop chance. Completely freaked when i saw it whizz past while looting him :,). Now all I want are Mimi's head & the headless horseman's - but i've had enough of mount farming for now lmao

I remember getting Horseman's mount on the first try waaay back around 2008. I didn't know it had a .5 drop rate. If it makes you feel better, I have been farming the Raven Lord mount (Raven Lord is definitely in my top 10. I wish this at least got an honorable mention in your countdown) since BC launched.
This will probably trigger you and most people but I started playing WoW actively when MoP was released. At the time I had been playing with a friend who was playing since vanilla and was also trying to get the Headless Horseman mount for years. He invites me to a party to queue up for the halloween dungeon, this is my first time ever doing the dungeon. The mount dropped for me, on my first try EVER.
that doesn't count unless you'd be able to have it added to your mounts tab and use on all classes after getting the legendary. (got it on my lvl 100 warlock but arn'y using him anymore soooo.)
Thats a hassle lets be honest and still class locked they should give give people who earned the legendary acheivement for it the mount to their tab and also we need more mount morphs especially more dragons.
i got on a mog run and i forgot about the actual mount lol, took me 4 months to realise it was in my bags only reason i didnt realise it was in there was because i did it once and 4 months later checked my bags properly
Nor am I a collector of mounts, but one some year during the last, hm, for of the eight years of play, I took the time to thoroughly play through Outland Shadowmoon. I found that questchain with the dragons so engaging and endearing. Sure I had seen those netherdrakes in Outland Shattrath and had always wondered why the vendor wouldn't sell to me. He'll, he wouldn't 't even speak to me. But after completing that chain, he did. I began to believe acquiring a netherdrake was doable. But good grief the repetitive and arduous grind to gain enough rep set me off the path. But they are still one of my more favored mounts. There's also a certain hippogryph I thought gorgeous though now I don't recall which it was. And there's a mount that sometimes is looted from the Court of Farondis emissary bag. Oh! So beautiful.
I first started playing WoW towards the end of Wrath..only played until the free lvl 20 trial. I then came back for real towards the end of Cata...and one of my first times in Orgrimar I seen someone flying around on Invincible..right then I knew the reason I wanted to play WoW more. It took about 3 years of running ICC 25H at least once a week and me dying irl (unrelated to WoW) but after my car accident I was brought back to life like my main Undead Warlock...as soon as I was released from the hospitals and able to use my hands and wrists a little more, I logged in and headed to Ice Crown..finally Invincible dropped! I ride it everywhere I go! That same week..Mimron’s Head dropped too! That same year (last year) I was lucky enough to acquire The Headless Horsmens mount too..if there was a way man, I would give you the Horsemens mount.
I had almost forgotten the horror of grinding the Apexis crystal and then this video shows up. Thanks Nixxiom. I can't complain though. Ji-Kun and Astral Cloud Serpent both dropped with in a span of 30 mins.
Top 3, in ascending order. 3. Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher. Icecream Citadel will, and always has been, my favburite raid in the game. 2. The engineering Gyrocopter/Flying Machine. Nothing feels better than the first time you fly that fucking thing after grinding (Or buying) mats. 1. Invincible. Was there any doubt? I spent months, if not years, trying to get this mount and when it finally did, it dropped on the same run I got exalted with Ashen Verdict. Not to mention that Arthas and Sylvanas' lore will always have a special place in my heart since I grew up on Wacraft 3.
I think Invincible is too over the top imo, the wings are really ruining it for me. But it's still cool and I want it cause of the lore. (commenting on a year old post, yaaay)
Farming Ashes since BC, Invisible since WotLK, so...11 years maybe? 10 toons, every week. A friend joins the game, level up till 110, "i'm going to a transmog run to ICC, the armor looks cool", 25 minutes later "yo, i got invincible". 2 week later "yo, i got invincible again". Mi ex gf, "ohhhhh look how cute this raid is", -"where are you baby", "dunno, let me see, it says The Eye", "ok, are you farming the mount?". "What mount?". "Nevermind baby, it's hard to get it, enjoy". Like 10 minutes later, guild chat report "recieved ashes of Al'ar". GG
To make you Nixxiom a little bit jealous, the first time i did that event, the Headless Horseman's Mount dropped and i prayed to get the mount while everyone else wanted it in the group, and well i got the Mount. It's still my favourite, and i use only this, i am also like you about Halloween. Where i live, in Hungary it's not a holiday, we just don't celebrate it, but once when my family went to the USA as we have some relatives living there, it was the time of Halloween. I was 13 or 14 years old, and this holiday just mesmerised me. I felt like i am in a completely different world. Later when i started playing WoW, and heard about this Halloween event in game, i really wanted to get that mount, and looked around on the net how to get it. I think, i was lucky then or something because it dropped the first time, and then i hit the need button, and somehow i got the mount somehow.
I started starting playing wow during October. I remember I was a level 12 undead warrior. Im in brill admiring the festival. I then see someone ride past me on the headless horseman mount. That memory is crystal clear. Thats how awesome it is.
I just started playing wow. I got that ugly bird mount at nr.10, but it is literally the ONLY fly mouth that i have...i just randomly got it. I'm a full noob who just went into a random portal and cleared it...yikes.

I have a special love for the Onyxian Drake. I have had it for a while, but a friend of mine who is relatively new wanted to go mount grinding. When we downed Onyxia, her corpse was.... in the air. Floating. Out of reach. We saw it as a sign and tried our asses off to loot that damn corpse. Then, as a hunter, I had the idea to fly to Sholzar Basin and learn the ability Fetch so that we may loot it. And once i returned, my robotic sheep named Dolly ascended into the air and looted that Soab. And the mount dropped.

I know this comment is a bit late but I felt obliged to tell my tale of the Headless Horseman's mount nonetheless... It was the Hallow's End festivity, 2013. I had been trying for just under two weeks to get the mount across several characters, but to no avail. Halloween itself eventually rolled around and something spectacularly spooky happened. 31st October 2013. What better date? Halloween in 20-fucking-13 (for those that don't get it 13 is like, *THE* unlucky number). I was doing the dungeon for the first time that day. I loot the Horseman. There it was. I actually went batshit crazy. Probably my fondest and most coincidental WoW memory ever.
I love my Vitreous Stone Drake. I don't know how a dragon made of rock flies, but I love it. It has crystals sticking out everywhere, I don't even remember where I got it, and the only reason I use any other mount is because those mounts have merchants.
I have to admit my favorite flying mount is FelFire hawk. Despite I don't own it, it's just so beautiful and magnificent mount to see green fire hawk on the sky
Awe! You should of saved Number 1 for the Top 10 Hybrid Mounts List. Where you note the "best" mounts that can be both a flying mount and a ground mount, (without looking silly after a while).
I currently have 3 flying mounts that I adore & plan to work towards as soon as I refill my subscription. The Armored Snowy Gryphon, Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent & Heart of the Aspects.
Time Lost Proto Drake for me. When I first got to Northrend way back in the day, my friend told me about it and how hard it was to get because of it's insane respawn time. I spent days and days just flying around on our nearly empty server but never once even saw it. Now with that area being crossrealm, it's even harder but I'm determined to get it one day.
Onyx Netherwing Drake! I still use it to this day. I also love the Nether Rays (remember those? very iconic!) and yes, I did to the grind to get the Corrupted Dreadwing! I'm a big fan of drakes, proto-drakes, dragons, wyrms, and there's two mounts I still really, really want. The Raven Lord mount, and Invincible. Still don't have 'em. Ashes of Al'ar would be great to get, but I'm not actively farming it at all. Some mounts I got on the first try, others have either only dropped after intense farming, or, as with you and the Headless Horseman's mount, have never dropped. Good luck in getting it this year, in any case!
pretty decent mount collector here. i have 7/10 of the ones on your list, some of these are ridiculously hard to get. i'll think up a top 10 and post it later.
Big time Wrath of the Lich King fanboy here, to this day my favorite expansion, but ahh.. favorite fliers? Definitely the Frostbrood Vanquishers hold a special place in there, as the coolest looking, and the old Netherwings are also something I loved grabbing. But my #1 favorite flying mount ain't there in Wrath. It's the Heart of the Nightwing. Going to get stabbed for saying this too, but idk why people hype over Invincible. Lore is great, sure, but for quality, the mount is garbage. The armor's colors are all over the place, the torso looks very bulky only for its ankles to be scrawny pencils stabbed into hollow hooves, and its wings look like they were plucked off the level 13 mobs from Vanilla Tirisfal. The DK class mount has better aesthetics.

Mim's Head Ironbound Proto-Drake Ashes of A'lar Corrupted Dreadwing Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent Astral Cloud Serpent Black Proto-Drake Obsidian Nightwing (Has helped with leveling many friends as well as flying them places they needed to go) Smoldering Egg of Millagazor and finally... Infinite Timereaver. I've wanted one of those to be a flying mount since TBC.
Corrupted Dreadwing is actually pretty easy to farm. 150k crystals isn't a lot. you can easily get 50k a week from garry missions. It is actually one of the most commonly owned mounts in the game. Like 80% of accounts have it lol.
I remember when I first saw Corrupted Dreadwing I said "f**k the gear, I need to have it* xD I still remember this grind for Apexis Crystal and the joy when i got the mount xD That was the only mount I used in WoD xD
I freakin' love the Flying Machine. It's great how the copter basically transforms for ground-hover and flying mode. Plus if you let it idle for a while your machine will stall and go through a "restart" animation.
I got the headless horseman mount last year on Halloween night. My city lost power for 6 days because of a Nor'ester, I was pissed, so on Halloween night I took my pc to work where we still had power, hooked it up and looted the damn mount that i spent over 12 years trying to get. Oh the excitement. I also went crazy during Wod collected the 150k crystals and got that big green flying bitch too. As well as the "of the jungle" and "predator" titles, now those were some friggen work..... love the videos, thanks!
I have the Corrupted Dreadwing mount solely because people did those huge Apexis grinds at the Iron Front when Tanaan first came out. It only took me about 6 1/2 hours to go from 0 to 150,000

Well frack! #1 The Neither Drakes (took forever to get to exalted during BC) #2 The Headless Horsemans mount ( after 3 years of grinding, I finally got it on my main) #3 The Sandstone Drake (It was expensive as hell at the time, and took me a while, but with the help form my mother- who sadly passed away recently- I got the recipe on my alchemist and made the potion for the mount.)
totally agree! Headless horseman is #1! I remember when u had to kill him during the world events, then they changed it to Dung Finder. I still don't have it! I got Midnight after 7years, keep farming! PS. the Wintersaber mount, only because of the grind you had to do to get it, and no flying at that time. it was so bad ass!
Been grinding HH since Vanilla, finally got the drop 2 hours before the end of last Halloween. I lost my shit XD Best of luck in next year's grind. My favourite has always been Rivendare's Deathcharger, because it was the only Undead mount you could ride as alliance. I lucked out and got it on my second run back in Vanilla, been one of my primary mounts ever since. But for flying, gotta go with the proto drakes, most flying mounts have weird wing animations, but theirs look really cool.

My favorite part about the Netherwing drakes is that each one has it's own in game name and they decided to go with you, they weren't forced like our other mounts XD. Also I have seen my dad get the Headless Horseman's mount 3 times on the same character, and I still haven't gotten it so I know the feeling.

You've been trying to get the headless horseman mount, meanwhile I've been trying to get the helmet. Also my favorite flying mount would have to be the upcoming class mount for rogues, always wanted to fly around on a raven that wasn't absolutely gargantuan and took up half my screen.
My favourite mounts are -onxias drake bcuz I love the colours and look. 2. Celestial steed, my first ever cool mount that I loved as a noob and bought. 1. Heavenly golden cloud serpent, very fond memories of grinding out the rep to finally finally get that bad boy from empower shaohao, and it looks awesome!
I'm not a mount collector per se, but I do believe I'm rather lucky and I do enjoy the hunt for rare mounts. I've all of the dropped pre-Legion mounts,, but I don't put much value into the mounts. The Ashes of Alar dropped a couple of years ago, but I gave it away to a friend - he wanted it badly. The two mounts I always come back to using is 1) The headless horseman mount - which actually dropped on the very first event in WoW for me! 2) The ROFL-copter which I crafted in TBC.
I am kinda new to wow, I started on official on Legion, used to play WOTLK and Cataclysm on some private servers. Got on official and ofc I started to farm some mounts. I took Ashes of Al'ar in 20 tries, so about 10 weeks on two characters. My top 3 ground: Primal Flamesaber (impossible to get it now), Vicious Skeletal Warhorse, White Skeletal Warhorse. And top 4 air: Shackled Ur'zul (perfect for an undead), Cindermane, Invincible and Tyrael's Charger (impossible to get it now). Cheers!

My #1 mount is also the Headless Horseman's reigns. It looks amazing and it is the first and only hard to get mount that I got.

A lot of people farmed for Ashes of Alar or Headless Horseman but Mimoron's Head how many people do you see with that mount!

Invincible, 100%. I love the lore of it; & riding around on the Lich King's personal steed is pretty satisfying. After around three years of farming on & off, I got it last year on a run I did out of pure boredom - for once without the intention of having a stab at the drop chance. Completely freaked when i saw it whizz past while looting him :,). Now all I want are Mimi's head & the headless horseman's - but i've had enough of mount farming for now lmao

The coolest mount in the game IMO is easily the Flameward Hippogryph. It's also the only mount I ever bothered to start grinding.
I remember getting Horseman's mount on the first try waaay back around 2008. I didn't know it had a .5 drop rate. If it makes you feel better, I have been farming the Raven Lord mount (Raven Lord is definitely in my top 10. I wish this at least got an honorable mention in your countdown) since BC launched.

At the time I had been playing with a friend who was playing since vanilla and was also trying to get the Headless Horseman mount for years. He invites me to a party to queue up for the halloween dungeon, this is my first time ever doing the dungeon. The mount dropped for me, on my first try EVER.

There's Dragonwrath Tarecgosa's Rest which transforms you into a unique blue drake! It's a Legendary too, from back when they were special.
that doesn't count unless you'd be able to have it added to your mounts tab and use on all classes after getting the legendary. (got it on my lvl 100 warlock but arn'y using him anymore soooo.)
not to mention you have to have it equipped
You can unequip it while the mount channel is going off and you won't demorph, I have a macro set for mine!
More morphs would be quite nice though.
Thats a hassle lets be honest and still class locked they should give give people who earned the legendary acheivement for it the mount to their tab and also we need more mount morphs especially more dragons.

Nor am I a collector of mounts, but one some year during the last, hm, for of the eight years of play, I took the time to thoroughly play through Outland Shadowmoon. I found that questchain with the dragons so engaging and endearing. Sure I had seen those netherdrakes in Outland Shattrath and had always wondered why the vendor wouldn't sell to me. He'll, he wouldn't 't even speak to me. But after completing that chain, he did. I began to believe acquiring a netherdrake was doable. But good grief the repetitive and arduous grind to gain enough rep set me off the path. But they are still one of my more favored mounts. There's also a certain hippogryph I thought gorgeous though now I don't recall which it was. And there's a mount that sometimes is looted from the Court of Farondis emissary bag. Oh! So beautiful.

I first started playing WoW towards the end of Wrath..only played until the free lvl 20 trial. I then came back for real towards the end of Cata...and one of my first times in Orgrimar I seen someone flying around on Invincible..right then I knew the reason I wanted to play WoW more. It took about 3 years of running ICC 25H at least once a week and me dying irl (unrelated to WoW) but after my car accident I was brought back to life like my main Undead Warlock...as soon as I was released from the hospitals and able to use my hands and wrists a little more, I logged in and headed to Ice Crown..finally Invincible dropped! I ride it everywhere I go! That same week..Mimron’s Head dropped too! That same year (last year) I was lucky enough to acquire The Headless Horsmens mount too..if there was a way man, I would give you the Horsemens mount.
My #1 mount is Invincible. You don’t need any other mount. Ever.

I had almost forgotten the horror of grinding the Apexis crystal and then this video shows up. Thanks Nixxiom.
I can't complain though. Ji-Kun and Astral Cloud Serpent both dropped with in a span of 30 mins.
Top 3, in ascending order.
3. Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher. Icecream Citadel will, and always has been, my favburite raid in the game.
2. The engineering Gyrocopter/Flying Machine. Nothing feels better than the first time you fly that fucking thing after grinding (Or buying) mats.
1. Invincible. Was there any doubt? I spent months, if not years, trying to get this mount and when it finally did, it dropped on the same run I got exalted with Ashen Verdict. Not to mention that Arthas and Sylvanas' lore will always have a special place in my heart since I grew up on Wacraft 3.

A friend joins the game, level up till 110, "i'm going to a transmog run to ICC, the armor looks cool", 25 minutes later "yo, i got invincible". 2 week later "yo, i got invincible again". Mi ex gf, "ohhhhh look how cute this raid is", -"where are you baby", "dunno, let me see, it says The Eye", "ok, are you farming the mount?". "What mount?". "Nevermind baby, it's hard to get it, enjoy". Like 10 minutes later, guild chat report "recieved ashes of Al'ar". GG

To make you Nixxiom a little bit jealous, the first time i did that event, the Headless Horseman's Mount dropped and i prayed to get the mount while everyone else wanted it in the group, and well i got the Mount. It's still my favourite, and i use only this, i am also like you about Halloween. Where i live, in Hungary it's not a holiday, we just don't celebrate it, but once when my family went to the USA as we have some relatives living there, it was the time of Halloween. I was 13 or 14 years old, and this holiday just mesmerised me. I felt like i am in a completely different world. Later when i started playing WoW, and heard about this Halloween event in game, i really wanted to get that mount, and looked around on the net how to get it. I think, i was lucky then or something because it dropped the first time, and then i hit the need button, and somehow i got the mount somehow.
I started starting playing wow during October. I remember I was a level 12 undead warrior. Im in brill admiring the festival. I then see someone ride past me on the headless horseman mount. That memory is crystal clear. Thats how awesome it is.

I have a special love for the Onyxian Drake. I have had it for a while, but a friend of mine who is relatively new wanted to go mount grinding. When we downed Onyxia, her corpse was.... in the air. Floating. Out of reach. We saw it as a sign and tried our asses off to loot that damn corpse. Then, as a hunter, I had the idea to fly to Sholzar Basin and learn the ability Fetch so that we may loot it. And once i returned, my robotic sheep named Dolly ascended into the air and looted that Soab.
And the mount dropped.

I know this comment is a bit late but I felt obliged to tell my tale of the Headless Horseman's mount nonetheless...
It was the Hallow's End festivity, 2013. I had been trying for just under two weeks to get the mount across several characters, but to no avail. Halloween itself eventually rolled around and something spectacularly spooky happened.
31st October 2013. What better date? Halloween in 20-fucking-13 (for those that don't get it 13 is like, *THE* unlucky number).
I was doing the dungeon for the first time that day. I loot the Horseman. There it was. I actually went batshit crazy. Probably my fondest and most coincidental WoW memory ever.
I love my Vitreous Stone Drake. I don't know how a dragon made of rock flies, but I love it. It has crystals sticking out everywhere, I don't even remember where I got it, and the only reason I use any other mount is because those mounts have merchants.
I have to admit my favorite flying mount is FelFire hawk. Despite I don't own it, it's just so beautiful and magnificent mount to see green fire hawk on the sky
Awe! You should of saved Number 1 for the Top 10 Hybrid Mounts List. Where you note the "best" mounts that can be both a flying mount and a ground mount, (without looking silly after a while).
I currently have 3 flying mounts that I adore & plan to work towards as soon as I refill my subscription. The Armored Snowy Gryphon, Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent & Heart of the Aspects.
Time Lost Proto Drake for me. When I first got to Northrend way back in the day, my friend told me about it and how hard it was to get because of it's insane respawn time. I spent days and days just flying around on our nearly empty server but never once even saw it.
Now with that area being crossrealm, it's even harder but I'm determined to get it one day.
Onyx Netherwing Drake! I still use it to this day. I also love the Nether Rays (remember those? very iconic!) and yes, I did to the grind to get the Corrupted Dreadwing! I'm a big fan of drakes, proto-drakes, dragons, wyrms, and there's two mounts I still really, really want. The Raven Lord mount, and Invincible. Still don't have 'em. Ashes of Al'ar would be great to get, but I'm not actively farming it at all. Some mounts I got on the first try, others have either only dropped after intense farming, or, as with you and the Headless Horseman's mount, have never dropped. Good luck in getting it this year, in any case!

Definitely the Frostbrood Vanquishers hold a special place in there, as the coolest looking, and the old Netherwings are also something I loved grabbing.
But my #1 favorite flying mount ain't there in Wrath. It's the Heart of the Nightwing.
Going to get stabbed for saying this too, but idk why people hype over Invincible. Lore is great, sure, but for quality, the mount is garbage. The armor's colors are all over the place, the torso looks very bulky only for its ankles to be scrawny pencils stabbed into hollow hooves, and its wings look like they were plucked off the level 13 mobs from Vanilla Tirisfal. The DK class mount has better aesthetics.
I love that you put the netherwing drakes on here ☺️ I feel like they're way cooler than people realize, the onyx one was my first mount that I grinded back in Cata and it's still one of my favorites

Corrupted Dreadwing is actually pretty easy to farm. 150k crystals isn't a lot. you can easily get 50k a week from garry missions. It is actually one of the most commonly owned mounts in the game. Like 80% of accounts have it lol.
I remember when I first saw Corrupted Dreadwing I said "f**k the gear, I need to have it* xD I still remember this grind for Apexis Crystal and the joy when i got the mount xD That was the only mount I used in WoD xD
I freakin' love the Flying Machine. It's great how the copter basically transforms for ground-hover and flying mode. Plus if you let it idle for a while your machine will stall and go through a "restart" animation.
I got the headless horseman mount last year on Halloween night. My city lost power for 6 days because of a Nor'ester, I was pissed, so on Halloween night I took my pc to work where we still had power, hooked it up and looted the damn mount that i spent over 12 years trying to get. Oh the excitement. I also went crazy during Wod collected the 150k crystals and got that big green flying bitch too. As well as the "of the jungle" and "predator" titles, now those were some friggen work..... love the videos, thanks!
I have the Corrupted Dreadwing mount solely because people did those huge Apexis grinds at the Iron Front when Tanaan first came out. It only took me about 6 1/2 hours to go from 0 to 150,000

PS. the Wintersaber mount, only because of the grind you had to do to get it, and no flying at that time. it was so bad ass!
Been grinding HH since Vanilla, finally got the drop 2 hours before the end of last Halloween. I lost my shit XD Best of luck in next year's grind. My favourite has always been Rivendare's Deathcharger, because it was the only Undead mount you could ride as alliance. I lucked out and got it on my second run back in Vanilla, been one of my primary mounts ever since. But for flying, gotta go with the proto drakes, most flying mounts have weird wing animations, but theirs look really cool.

My favorite part about the Netherwing drakes is that each one has it's own in game name and they decided to go with you, they weren't forced like our other mounts XD. Also I have seen my dad get the Headless Horseman's mount 3 times on the same character, and I still haven't gotten it so I know the feeling.

You've been trying to get the headless horseman mount, meanwhile I've been trying to get the helmet. Also my favorite flying mount would have to be the upcoming class mount for rogues, always wanted to fly around on a raven that wasn't absolutely gargantuan and took up half my screen.

Heavenly golden cloud serpent, very fond memories of grinding out the rep to finally finally get that bad boy from empower shaohao, and it looks awesome!
I'm not a mount collector per se, but I do believe I'm rather lucky and I do enjoy the hunt for rare mounts. I've all of the dropped pre-Legion mounts,, but I don't put much value into the mounts. The Ashes of Alar dropped a couple of years ago, but I gave it away to a friend - he wanted it badly. The two mounts I always come back to using is 1) The headless horseman mount - which actually dropped on the very first event in WoW for me! 2) The ROFL-copter which I crafted in TBC.
I am kinda new to wow, I started on official on Legion, used to play WOTLK and Cataclysm on some private servers. Got on official and ofc I started to farm some mounts. I took Ashes of Al'ar in 20 tries, so about 10 weeks on two characters. My top 3 ground: Primal Flamesaber (impossible to get it now), Vicious Skeletal Warhorse, White Skeletal Warhorse. And top 4 air: Shackled Ur'zul (perfect for an undead), Cindermane, Invincible and Tyrael's Charger (impossible to get it now). Cheers!

I fell in love with the ordinary red drake mount, because it was my first drake-mount. I used all the gold I had on it at the time, and I used the mount for years! still use it today!
