The Wings are 13-1-1 in the last 15 games in which Kane's scored a goal. They're 7-1-1 this year when he scores a point. He led the team in game winners last year in only 49 games. This year he's tied for the team lead in game winners. If he scores the team wins. If he doesn't, they probably don't. Lalonde spent his entire postgame whining about the Kane line's defense - extremely bad faith whining which he never ever did in a presser about that awful Cat Ray Larkin top line as it got scored on every game and the team lost every game w it. He wants to lose playing low event hockey where Raymond is the star (ie bury Kane again and give Cat back to Ray) rather than win playing exciting hockey where Kane is the star. He's going to break that line up and bury Kane again. You have been warned. This is the worst coach in NHL history and when he does what he is going to do and the team starts being boring and losing every game again he should be fired. Kane scoring energizes the whole team, resulting in wins, regardless of defense. The point is to win and entertain, not lose playing a preferred boring style and glorifying a preferred player. I've never seen a coach like this. Absolute albatross. Kane was nuts to sign back here.
Flyers should've been called for too many men. Regardless if it was a penalty or not, you still have to pull your goalie to get the extra skater, you can't just throw a 6th guy out there and keep your goalie in net. 🤣
